The Council





The Council deals with many different things, such as making sure the people of certain cities, such as Dalaran, are not effected by invading forces.

The Ranks

Mages and Wizards differ in many ways. A Mage, for example, would use either Frost, Fire, or Arcane, or sometimes more than one of those. While a Wizard, would specialize in all of those, plus many other types of magic, such as water, earth, wind, and fire, the elements.

In ways, a Wizard is much more talented than a Mage, and therefore, the rank of Wizard is higher in command than a Mage.

Master Wizard: Giladore is the Master Wizard. He takes care of many things, including handleing the Council.
Mage Mistress: Only one of these, this person would take care of anything Mage related. Current Mage Mistress is Falanas.
Elder Wizard: There are very few Elder Wizards, usually older wizards with much experience and masters at their talents.
Elder Mage: There are few Elder Mages, they help with many things, such as arranging when and where to do certain things.
Elite Wizard: This is someone who is finished training, and is now professional at his or her talents as a Wizard.
Elite Mage: This is someone who has finished their training and is specialized in one or a few talents.
Wizard: This is somebody with a lot of knowledge as a Wizard, but still has not completely mastered the skills of a Wizard.
Mage: This is somebody with a lot of knowledge as a Mage, but once again, still has not mastered the talents.
Apprentice: This is somebody who is training to be a Wizard or a Mage.




The Meeting Area



Once in a while, The Council meets up in Dalaran (For good FPS people) and meets to discuss the current topics of Dalaran and other cities. As well as the topics of current interest.

Good idea, but I have a question. What if you're a wizard in training, and by the time you reach the wizard rank, you'd be pretty good in a few elements, fitting the description of a wizard. For your great efforts, you're promoted once, and suddenly you're a mage again. A mage is categorized as someone who specializes in one school of magic, right? I mean no offence by my question, I just wanted to know. ^^

I don't -quite- understand your question, but I guess all I could say is that once you are classified as a Wizard, 'Wizard' is the lowest rank for you, not 'Mage'. Usually you would not switch back to the other classification. Hopefully that answered your question. If not, just ask in another way.

Ormica, the guild is probably dead and decaying. It's been three years now.

I know, that's why I bumped it, to give some one an idea, I'd like to do that more, though. I hate to see guilds die...
