Chapter One:

The stale air of the darkened Catacombs no longer came at a price to Haim's weak lungs, instead they made them stronger. He breathed deeply and heavily as he exchanged words and dealings with his new teacher. Haim had longed for power over elements to a point where he wanted control over them entirely, no longer will be put up with frisky elements or backstabbing demons. He smirked as The Caretaker led him through the maze called the Catacombs. The walls dark and stained with dry blood and recent cobwebs, it made the atmosphere more dramatic he would think. Haim had spent many weeks in the Catacombs, researching and training only to find that his final choice will be his best.

He continued to walk as he thought to himself, he was about to leave all that he had spent his life on behind. And about to continue into a new darker path that have shown lesser men great power. So much as to make them gods among men, leading armies so vast at their will. Mindless toys under their fingertips, puppeteers Haim would call them. But finally finding one that was willing to teach him for a price was rare, and Haim was lucky as to find someone as mysterious and wise as The Caretaker. Finally after walking through many rooms with missing doors they came to a large library. Haim was given a Journal to be kept on him at all times, to revise what he had to be taught.

"What is an Enchantment, and how does it work."

It was the first question, and Haim answered to the best of his ability. Although it was slightly under the bar on what had to be answered, perfection was The Caretaker's goal so Haim thought. She explained that Enchantment and Runes are the main parts to perfecting the dark ways, she also explained the use of shadow magic. Haim had quite a mastery in Fel based shadow, and the use of Affliction and curses. Yet that was only the offensive part of this type of magic.

Haim continued to walk with The Caretaker until they found themselves at quite an open experimental lab. She gave Haim an odd look before proceeding to give him a carving kit, one to use with different runes. And then onward towards two Rodents in a cage. She picked them up taking one and slicing down the first one across the neck. After it drew blood the rodent began to twitch furiously before going limp. She put the first Rodent down before asking Haim a question.

"Explain to me what the rodent's last moments were."

"He began to twitch, before becoming limp..?"

She nodded and placed her wand by her side, slipping it down her hand and placing it slightly above the dead rodent. Suddenly the rat started to once again violently twitch before going limp after the wand moved away.
She smiled under her mask and smacked her lips together once again asking.

"Now, explain to me what just happened there.."

"Uh... It went through it's last moments before it died, once more?"

She nodded at Haim before proclaiming.

"Very observant, Mr. Fizzlemink. You come along fast!"

She looked down at the other rodent, lending her hand towards the rodent's face. The rodent tensed up and a blue mist seemed to seep out of the Rodent's skin. As The Caretaker drew her fist back the rodent would seem more tense and the blue mist would increase. Suddenly she furiously lent her hand down towards the dead rodent, the blue mist suddenly was stuck into the dead rodent. But to Haim's surprise the once dead Rodent came back to life. It's beady red eyes peered at Haim, and the once living Rodent now limp and cold in The Caretaker's arms. She told Haim to take the resurrected rodent and study him. Haim nodded at her as he cautiously picked up the rat.

"Now you have three days to explain that..

Chapter Two:

Haim dusted off the his desk that sat visibly in the middle of his old laboratory where he conducted experiments on the feudal nature of Fel and Shadow, the dust twirled in the air until being sucked out through the cracks of the walls. Long it had been since Haim conducted experiments in the darkened Catacombs, and prolonged that the place had become more populated than it once was when he was there last.

He wondered why his room was not disturbed for so long but continued his research. Cradled in Haim's upper left arm resided the rodent he was given to study for the three days. He placed the undead rat upon the table, it sat still quivering and twitching at the sight of Haim. Yet it had set still as if it was waiting for a spell or an order of some kind.

Haim found that the motives of this rodent were subdued by the undeath that had came about it. Haim began to prod the rodent carefully to the point that it fell onto it's side. Yet it laid still on it's side, motionless it stuck it's feet quite stiff out in the air. By this point Haim had begun to dissect the animal, trying to find the enchantment that made this Rodent tick. He pushed on cutting through layers of skin until the rodent had finally passed on.

Haim was quite disappointed at this point and slumped back into his chair. His mind was racing like an Worgen on the hunt for a tasty elf. He flicked his fingers as he reacted at the last moments before The Caretaker gave him the rodent. He remembered the blue mist that had been guided out of the rodent's body, and how it was sent down to the undead rodent giving him life. Haim thought such things were a whole lot more complicated by it was just a simple observation.

"Take life, to give life.."
He said to himself, chuckling at what had happened. He wrote down his quarries in his journal, trying to figure out a explanation on how life can be taken away and given to something else.

Yet Haim wanted to learn more, and he could not yet wait for his teacher to teach him more. So, with his handbook in hand to he lead himself to the library. Searching through the books such as dark recreation, shadow rituals, Witch doctor recipes, and even the fabled "A village fool's guide on how to summon your first Imp!". Finding nothing towards his study, he felt aggravated as he sat slumped on a bench in the Catacomb's library. He sat for an hour, scratching wording into the wooden table that lay beside him. He let out a slight yawn. His eyes heavy and his body weak, he wanted to find this book.

""Hee hee... Hahaahahaaa.."

Haim knew that laugh, for he had heard it many times before during his time in the circus. The one that drove him insane, the one that let him loose control of himself... The one that drove him to murder, enslave and do unspeakable things to other people. Without a moment to spare he grabbed his nose, gasping for air. A long strand of blood trickled down his hand before he got to his feet. The room begun to twist and become dark, he could hear the dreaded laugh coarse harder and harder. He had to get back to his room, as soon as possible. Haim sprinted to his room through the maze like hall, he himself only had feared one thing. And that was himself!

Haim finally made it to his room, grabbing the chest of draws and slamming it open. Searching and searching through his potions and remedies till finally finding the small chest that contained many vials of a light yellow liquid. The laughing grew harder and harder, as his hands shook to try and grab one of the small vials. After many paced attempts he successfully harnessed one, grabbing it and drinking it down. Almost immediately everything came back to normal. But it was not over, the shadow that followed him for so long had finally caught up.

Chapter Three:

Another day in the Catacombs, or was it night? It did not matter, time was not a value in the depths of evil. Haim continued to walk towards the entrance of the Catacombs, for he could not get signal with his two way radio device. With only moments of spare time he wished to contact the leader of the APGL, Blythe. But as he walked to the entrance of the Catacombs he gazed to his left to see another Gnome figure, similar to the one he had met not long ago. But carelessly he continued up to the entrance, with a stitched up rat in hand he would find The Caretaker in his own time. He felt a cold shadow engulf him as he walked away from the dark robed Gnome before hearing the voice of his mentor.

"Mr. Fizzlemink, Darling."

Haim had span around in the midst, hiding his radio device behind him. Holding up the rat he explained to The Caretaker his faults. For she did not care but rather wanted to speed things along, which he had no trouble with. Slipping the radio into his robe he continued with her to a darkened room, only before Haim just noticed that he finally saw his mentor's face. He walked into a dark room, with books and other furniture that only a madmen would buy. Yet in the corner stated a large dark orb which hovered over a large purple rune surrounded by purple candles. Haim twitched at the sight of the rune, for he didn't have the best experience with runes. Examining it he scribbled down a note into his journal, describing the Aura and feeling.

"Have you ever seen this rune before, Mr. Fizzlemink?"

Haim shook his head at her, stuttering in his voice and slurring his words he announced back to The Caretaker

"No I believe I have not!"

Haim had an uneasy feeling about this rune until he was explained that pure shadow had manifested it. The Caretaker asked him if he had ever used shadow before, Haim only answered with "Fel imbued." She shook her head and said that it wouldn't do, but seeing as he had experience what was somewhat shadow there would be no problem. He had also been asked if he had been taught in Dalaran as an Arcanist, he spat on the ground and nodded his head at her explaining his history of being taught there and being shipped off to the dreaded Nethergarde keep for seven years. Soon after explaining his motives Haim drew a rough sketch of the rune for it would be the base of raising the dead back to life. He quickly looked over it, once again feeling the uneasy aura of the pure shadow that had been harnessed in it. His mentor then asked him to sit in the middle of the Rune, hesitantly but without question Haim sat in the middle of the circle.

"Let the energies run through you, then make a bolt of a kind in your hands. Before dispersing it back into the rune. Show me that you can harness the Orb's power!"

Haim had not problem with doing such, he let the energies around him flow through. His eyes opened wider as he felt a new energy of pure shadow run through his veins and out into his palms. Letting it disperse back into the Rune, he just let it continue. Finally he got to his feet, trying not to make a crack in the glowing rune that was situated on the ground.

"Good now, come back to me when you can draw out that rune as if it were your own name!"

Chapter Four:

A single flame was lit, pushing the darkness towards the empty corners of the room. The cobblestone walls were flushed with a mossy agent that emerged from almost every crack and mishap of the room. The old wooden table no longer holds his work, but not is empty. The wooden desk is covered with the same marking over and over. Haim's head turns to the gaunt figure holding the lit candle by his side, robed and inconspicuous the figure leaned over to the desk peering down at the indents. A hushed chuckle filled the room before the figure turned to Haim, lending one limp finger to his small forehead. Pushing weakly Haim stumbled back somewhat confused as what the figure was doing.

"I think you are ready..."

"Alright.. But what now?"

The figure removed it's hood to reveal a long auburn haired corpse, her face rid with scars and scratches. Her neck seemed to be peeling off slightly, skin blue and cold. She lent a hand to Haim's shoulder as they walked out slowly out towards the exit of the Catacombs. With a devilish grin and hands fiercely tightened together Haim was prepared to do his work. Many days and nights he practiced, trying to get in-tune with the Shadow. He walked slowly up the stairs, rising up to the large door that blocked the entrance to the Catacombs. The Corpse pushed her hand out slowly, lightly pushing the door before it started to move slowly open. Out into a large graveyard that looked over a misty peak, dug up corpses and shallow graves can be seen stretching for a fare while.

"Hmm, take your pick.."

Haim looked around the large graveyard patrolling it's borders, looking for unspoiled graves yet ones that have only just been newly dug. His eyes peered around to see a Grave dug over, fresh soil covered a corpse that extended it's hand out from the ground. Haim grabbed onto the feminine hand and pointed down into the soil.

"She will do."

-----------------------------------

Moments passed after the selection of his first minion, Haim finally dragged the corpse out of the grave after a period of hardened work ethic and shoveling. To reveal a young girl dressed in a red outfit, a ripped tabard showing the Scarlet symbol. The gaunt figure threw her hood over her head once more, concealing her identity. She wheezed at the sight, but somewhat was amused with the reality of the situation. Haim nodded over to the figure and attempted to drag the surprisingly heavy armored corpse back into the Catacombs.

Finally making it back into the room of which he lives, Haim dragged the corpse onto a large rune implanted and drawn on the ground. Four candles with a sickly green flame were placed around the corpse and a large dark orb floated heavily behind the rune. With a flick of Haim's fingers he pressed his hand onto the rune. Igniting the rune in a heavily purple glow, mixed with an Arcane flow and a Shadowy current. He stepped back and let the energies flow through his body. The gaunt figure somewhat chuckled.

"Now.. Raise her!"

Haim shuddered for a moment, he had never been taught how to raise the dead. His hands glow of Arcane, but his eyes set on the Corpse. Unsure what to do next Haim felt a tight grip on his shoulder, and a whisper in his ear. He gave off a sigh of relief and let tried to let the flow of the magic through the corpse. After a moments notice the corpse awoke, limply standing to her feet. The robed woman simply just watched. And Haim felt a struggle before releasing the flow, and the corpse once again dropped to the floor.

"What.. Just happened!?"

"She died, again.. But this is not the end, I want you to continue to do this over and over again until you can get her to her feet and not rely on the rune's power to live."

Chapter Five:

The dark room suddenly lit up a light purple before shading back to it's dim dark color. Suddenly a surge of purple light once again lit up the room where Haim had been staying. A slim body left standing in a large circle, covered with runes that light in purple. Limply standing it's eyes color a deep purple that shines out of it's empty eye sockets. It's hair colored a dirty blond fixed in "pigtails", noting that the corpse was once a female. Her skin colored a light blue and her fingers seem to be completely skeletal, as well as her feet. Her armor is a cheap mail colored red that of a zealot, as well as a tabard ripped in certain places. On it shows the mark of the Scarlet crusade.

Haim chuckled as he deeply thought of how a Scarlet could end up here, she must of came a long way to be experimented on or enslaved. He turned his head as he deeply stared into the dead scarlet's purple eyes, before lending a finger out and motioning for the corpse to walk his way. Without pause the red armored corpse wandered over towards him, step by step it drew closer until it left the circle. She stumbled for a moment before dropping to the floor. Completely motionless, and no sign of life whatsoever.

----------------------------------

Haim slid across the floor towards her pondering at his misconduct, he was missing something. Haim begun to examine the body, placing his hand under the corpse's chin and turning it slightly to the right. Looking into the empty sockets there only lay a shimmer of purple light that remained showing that the corpse was in a state of weakness. Haim grabbed his chin as he slid his hand back to his pocket, raising himself up from his crouched position he took a couple of steps back before bumping into something tall and light. He yelped and widened his eyes as he felt struck as something was in his room.

Quickly turning around to meet his adversary he locks eyes with the same robed figure that had mentored him many days ago. Haim could see only the bottom half of the robed corpse's face, while a large grin was spread across it. The robed figure's hand clapped together tightly as a wheeze like chuckle filled the silent room.

"Well since you are here, could you help me with my little quarrel?"

The corpse wheezed and nodded, "By now, I thought you would of figured it out."

Haim's facial expression changed from a surprised look to a somewhat agitated face. The robed corpse shook her head and motioned towards the Scarlet. Grabbing on her right arm a tearing off a large amount of flesh and muscle until reaching the bone. Discarding the section of the arm the robed figure lent out a extremely sharp finger nail and begun to dig into the bone, carving out the mark that lay on the floor beside them. The robed woman grinned as she finished her work of art before prodding the rune with her index finger.

Looking at Haim as if to tell him to activate the rune carved into the scarlet's bone. Haim nodded and crouched down on one knee. Lending one finger around the circle surrounding the rune, lighting his finger with the purple light. Igniting the rune with the very light he had surrounding his finger he motions backwards. Getting up to his feet he let's out a hand to raise the Scarlet's corpse to it's feet. The Scarlet stumbled towards Haim finally stopping and raising it's limp head.

"What are you gonna name her?"

"Daisy."

The robed woman nodded at Haim and gestured towards the exit of Haim's room, her mouth then moved clicking her jaw somewhat.

"I will come find you, when I think you are ready to continue... But in the mean time, play around with your toy until you get the hang of it."

Haim nodded at the robed woman and then stared at the newly raised Scarlet, slipping his head to the side and dismissing the power from the rune carved on Daisy's arm. Letting her drop to the floor limp, and motionless as she once was.

Chapter Six

The Plaguelands, a terrible place known for the horrors that the Scourge ensued, corpses sticking out of the ground as sickening screams from Banshee's fill the air. Mindless undead wobble around on there wounded limbs in emptiness, no purpose at all. Carrion beetles filled the ground which Haim cautiously stepped, his head hanging low. Wandering around the plaguelands in disgust and excitement he looks to the ground beside him. The skull of a large Orc as well as it's shoulder and part of his right arm surfacing the blighted land.

He snorts taking out a small pouch from underneath his belt, throwing a jewel in which implants a rune on the ground of which it hit. Haim brings his hand upwards, drawing the skeleton out of the ground provoking the skeleton to be larger than once believed. Purple beams of shadow energy draw the Skeleton upwards as if to pull it out of the ground, the bits of dirt and armor rusting and falling away as it is risen. The skeleton slightly floats above the ground.

Haim grins in his triumph before planting the skeleton into an upwards position, he could easily observe that many of the bones were battered and broken and one of the large canines in the Orc skeleton's mouth was missing. Haim pondered to himself on how he would use this new Skeletal figure before grinning. The rune suddenly flashing a darker purple as the bones on the Skeleton soon reconstruct, surrounding the re-attached bones with a green energy. Haim moved his hand out as if to open the Skeleton's ribcage, in which he did with the shadow magic.

Letting him hop into the large skeletal Orc's body. Sitting on the Skeletal Orc's pelvis he closes the large ribcage and commands the Skeleton to walk. Without fail the large Orc begins to move towards a housing district near the outside of Stratholme. Watching as he passes many wandering Abominations cling to broken homes tearing them down and throwing the loose parts into the streets. Chuckling Haim continued on through the streets, it was truly a sight to behold.

-------------------------------------------------------------------

As he wondered through the streets he came across a peculiar Orc, letting the skeleton to the side he opens the ribcage doors and steps out of his humanoid mount. The Orc seemed to be talking to another Undead Sin'dorei, being startled he looked at the four skeletons drawn to the Sin'dorei's magic. Haim grinned at a challenge, and cast a line of shadowbolt at one of the Skeletons. Shattering it completely, before looking towards the Undead Sin'dorei grinning. However the Sin'dorei did not like Haim's display of power, and allowed the Skeletons to attack Haim with brute force.

In which to Haim's surprise they did, one of the skeletons being a caster threw a frost bolt knocking Haim down a large mound of blight. His face turned to sheer amusement as he rose Daisy up from the nether after casting a rune before them, Daisy being his first Undead had no question but to run head first into battle; Cutting one of the Skeleton's in two. But the Sin'dorei had other plans, casting a bolt of shadow towards Daisy! Hitting her on the first strike, falling down faster to the ground in sheer panic.

Had feared the worst after his undead had fallen and was once again cast down a hill, he had no choice but to use and age old trick. Frost armor, the ice engulfed not only him but the few skeletons attacking him. The Sin'dorei blinked and began to cast an anti-magic shell. Haim had no choice but to destroy the Ice armor, shooting the shards around the Area like shrapnel. Grinning Haim made his way down to a rotten tree trunk once again casting a rune, yet the Sin'dorei had begun weaving a Anti-magic shell around Haim's rune.

So Haim began to escape again making his way to the middle of the road. His hand shaking he used a skill known as Warrior's Shadow, which engulfed the form of the Sin'dorei's worst fear. However Haim did not take note that Undead cannot be cast with fear, however Haim still began to turn into a large skeletal figure. His eyes glowing red and his skeletal fingers creeping in and out of a shadow, the Sin'dorei clearly not impressed used the same spell turning into the only known form of Sargeras. Haim cast himself out of Warrior's shadow in sheer terror and gave up on the fight. Bowing to the Sin'dorei as his Superior.

"Admirable."
