1. Goto your WoW folder.
2. Goto the folder "Data" and delete the file: patch.MPQ.
3. Go back to your WoW folder and run: Repair.exe.
4. You may uncheck the resets, it doesn't matter. Press: Check files only.
5. You'll get a error that WoW is seriously damaged and you've to patch it again.
6. Let the repair finish.
7. Start the launcher and let it patch up to the server's current patch.

Havent got repair?
Repair tool!

If you just deleted the file you can check your recycle bin, and put the file back into the folder. But you didnt mention what step you are on. :|

Are you still getting the "have to reinstall the game" problem? I am unsure what problem you have? Are you back to the original problem?

Well, this is strange. Technicaly this shouldnt be a problem, you havent changed anything. I am asumming you got to step two? If everything is back in place there should be no change. :(

Okay well If deleting patch.MPQ doesn't work for you then try do this.

- Delete any files - if present - named patch-*.MPQ (for example, patch-2.MPQ)
- Drop back to your main game folder and run the Repair tool

I had a issue like that before but I just delete the other .MPQ files and the repair worked. If it still doesn't work let me know and I get you to do one other thing.

Wait...The start up screen is still downloading things...Didn't realize that. May be the reason. i will post an update shortly.

I don't have either of the common files yet...And I have only the first patch file...I am guessing after everything is done I will have them.
