"New Troll here."
#1
"A strange gift"
Ting always used to be a troll who stood protective over his brethren. During the Zalazane war he stood bravely fought till the last sanity troll returned to safety. After this war, he disappeared mysteriously. Why? None of his brethren knew.

Ting always had a strong heart. So he stood out there in that war. It was quiet foggy. Surprise attacks were coming from all sides. With a glorious banner of the Darkspear on his back, he was slashing his way through those insane trolls. A few off his brethren said it was a lost cause, but Ting would not listen. He decided to stay till he was alone, so his brethren took off to safety. Because of his certain stubborn talent he got hit with a mace on his head by one of Zalazane's minions. He was about to die and accept his faith. But suddenly arrows were rushing right in the head of his enemies. At this time Ting passed out.

As Ting starts to get back by his conscious he finds himself tied up on a tree. He stared out in front of him as he saw he was alone. He thought he was captured by one of Zalazane's minions. But then he hears a deep voice in his back say to him: “Worry not, Ting.” He looks confused, as he immediately asks: “Who are ya?”. A sudden cold breeze shivers up from his back… “I am, Zul'Anji, a Shadow Hunter”. Zul'Anji walks right in front of Ting, inspecting him closely. Zul'Anji whispers something in his ear. “Are you willing to trust me?” Ting simply nods as Zul'Anji grabs a dagger and stabs Ting in his chest. Ting cringes in pain as he looks confused to the Shadow Hunter. He simply replies “save your strength, the worst is yet to come”. The blood dripping from his wounds he puts in a voodoo doll. Afterwards he puts the doll in a boiling cauldron. Ting feels his body boiling inside of him. His heart rate is ticking enormous fast. This is one of the worst pains he has ever felt, he tries to get loose from the tree as he gives the Shadow Hunter a furious look of anger, but suddenly, he passes out again.

The next morning he wakes up hearing the noises off the sea breeze washing along the shores. He feels very different inside of him. He feels like he has been reborn. Slightly he starts to open his eyes, as the fel light shines into his eyes causing him a blur vision. A troll hand reaches his hand as he helps Ting up and tells him:“Sleepy head, time to wake up.” Zul'Anji points towards the ancient troll temple in front of him. “Go inside, there is someone who wants to speak you.” Ting looks rather confused as he decided to walk inside the temple.

Ting stares out in front of him, looking at the wall painting of the temple. As he recognizes Samedi in the paintings. Standing near the altar, he looks around carefully on his guard. As he hears a familiar voice coming right in front of him. A foggy ghost appears as he notices it is his very own father. Ting gets a little tear in his eyes, because he now knew his father was death. His father comforted him. “my age had come, son. Fear not, listen to Zul'Anji he has great gifts to offer ya, make your father proud.” Ting obeyed his father and decided he would listen to Zul'Anji like he was his own father. He returned to Zul'Anji as he was waiting for him outside of the temple. Ting smiled towards him, as a token of appreciation. Afterwards Zul'Anji decided to teach him to pray to Samedi and make a Sapta that allows him to commune with the death. This is how Ting becomes a Shadow Scout.

He wandered around together with Zul'Anji, moving from the one troll ruin to the other, practicing his gift to talk to the death. During this time he got more perceptive, being able to see things others could not.

When a few months passed by, Zul'Anji decided he was ready to be given his own voodoo doll. The doll the Shadow Hunter already bound to him during his first meeting with him. Zul'Anji told him it is important to secure the doll with his life and not let anyone get it for you or they will harm you with it. Although, the doll wielded a weakness of being carried around for Ting, it also held great power in which ways you can use it. For example, he was taught if you throw it in the right bubbling cauldron it would be very beneficial for Ting. Zul'Anji played a bit with Ting's mind as well, trying to prepare him for people that mislead him. Taking away his doll and giving a swift punishment if he lost it. This made Ting think his options trough more carefully. What Ting didn't know, Zul'Anji was preparing him to meet Dambala, the loa of serpents and treachery. Zul'Anji trained him for a couple of weeks how to sneak up to enemies and use a fatal blow to the enemy.

Zul'Anji wandered together with Ting towards a sunken temple, when they reached their destination they both stood in front of the temple. Zul'Anji said to him he was ready to enter this temple but he had to be very sneaky and never be off guard. Ting looked surprised as he didn't know Zul'Anji would lead him into the temple. So he walked in the temple alone as the Shadow Hunter waited patiently outside.

The first stage of the temple was getting passed the aggressive creeps. It was a complicated maze he was sent into without any plan. Carefully Ting observed the area, looking for a way into the chamber of Dambala. He spent a few days looking for a passage through the maze. He was somewhat getting a little frustrated he couldn't find it. So he had to survive inside the temple, killing wild snakes to eat, drinking water from the ground. He couldn't take much sleep because he had to be on guard. Ting was lost inside the temple. When he finally heard a cracking sound on the floor, a troll entered the temple. He thought it was Zul'Anji, so he tried to follow the noise. When he got to this target it was a unfamiliar troll. He decided to follow him, perhaps he knew a way out. Slowly sneaking behind the troll he entered a bigger chamber Ting had never seen before. He saw two big statues of Dambala and a small entrance between them. But suddenly the troll stopped in the middle of the room. He stood out there for 3 minutes, so Ting got a little curious. He finally shows himself and walks into the big chamber up to the troll. As Ting asks: “Brother, ya be fine?”. The troll turns around as he mutters something.

The troll shifts into a snake, as Ting shakes a little at the sight. But Zul'Anji made him strong, he was warned for dangers, so he proudly stood his ground, he shove one foot forward as he prepares his spear. The shifted serpent then screams loudly. “You dare to disturb this holy ground?!”. Ting shivers a bit at the voice as he speaks out loudly “I be seeking' for Dambala, not a fight…I be Ting, my honors lay with the Darkspear tribe, and I order Dambala to show himself!” Suddenly the shifted serpent's voice changed into a loud cackle. “Dambala yu say? Very well, but first… a little game.” The shifted serpent suddenly disappears as you can hear his voice cackling in the background. Ting looks a bit worried around, as suddenly the doors of the chamber close with a slam.

He holds his spear steady as the shifted serpent reappears, it starts spitting around poison, as Ting manages to dodge most off it. He decides to run up to the serpent and strike it with force, unfortunately his slash goes right through it and he hits the ground. When he turns around the snake suddenly stands close as it spits into Ting's eyes, the poison causes him temporarily blindness. He holds his spear in front of him as he tries to slash around to kill the serpent. But his actions are in vain, he doesn't seem to hit anything as he shouts “What trickery is this?!” The shifted serpent smiles as it speaks to Ting: “Think with your heart, not with your mind.” Suddenly he begins to notice he is in the right place. It was Dambala all along that caused this. He puts up a sly smirk as he tries to notice the serpent shoving over the floor. As he quickly hurls a spear towards its head piercing the snake's skull. As he hears the cracking sounds of the broken skull he falls on his knees, “Dambala, may your spirits have my soul. I am ready”. The shifted serpent suddenly turns back into a troll. The troll pulls the spear back out of his head as a quick regeneration heals the body again. “If you was ready, your eyes wouldn't be poisoned. You have yet much to learn… Ting Darkspear” As the troll disappears again.
