TuAmiga`s Introduction
#1
First and foremost: Tell us about yourself, as a player.:
I am... a 22 year old college student, majoring in mathematics. I played retail for about a month or two, lured by Blizzard's promise to uphold their RP rules, but I realized their lies on the very first day. I was pretty heartbroken to see people on an RP server not knowing what the acronym stood for... This was before the launch of Wrath of the Lich King. I had pretty much given up on Warcraft and just focused on school and life, etc. But now that things are starting to ease up, I'm looking for a place to get some real RP. After reading up on the rules and policies, I'm hoping this is the right place.

What country do you come from? What is your primary language?
I was born and raised in the USA, but raised primarily with the Spanish language. I know enough English, though, having been raised here, but I'll admit to being a bit confused with some things. Eg: the proper use of a semicolon, the difference between "who's" and "whose", and maybe one or two words like "resurrection" that I always seem to get wrong.

How did you get into Warcraft?:
I never played any of the RTS games so World of Warcraft was my first taste of the universe. I immediately fell in love with it, mostly because I was able to explore and it was just a new and exciting place for me. Something that immediately bothered me was having to do these silly repetitive quests so I could become strong enough to explore more of the world. I found it to be a waste of my time, which is how I began RPing. Or rather, trying to. Every attempt to speak properly was responded to with some fool in "l33tsp34k". My ignore list was full within the first week, but it only took a single day of play to realize that I didn't want to put my money into a game where I wasn't getting what I had been promised. Okay, enough of my whining. xD

What made you seek our server over others? (or How did you find us?):
I've never played on a private server before, mostly because I had no idea there were such things. Emulators, .NET frameworks, all that technical mumbo jumbo is way over my head. I caught a friend of mine watching the intro video to Cataclysm on youtube and we started talking about it, then he mentioned something about private servers when I told him about my bad experiences. Told me I should Google "WoW RP Private Servers", and this one just so happened to be the top of the list!

What kinds of roleplay do you enjoy?:
From the first day I logged in, I've always wanted to explore the massive world, so I'd say my favorite RP, for now, would have to do with exploring. There are a lot of things I haven't seen. I think I walked out of the starting place for Humans, then ran to a small village just outside of it and the castle place near that. I was often killed if I went further, so I just stayed there trying to find people to show me around and RP with. But yes, exploring ancient and lost ruins in search of artifacts and gold is definitely the type of RP I know I'm going to gravitate toward.

What is your favorite race/class? Why?:
I haven't had much time to play any race or class to their full extent, but after reading a bit on the WoW Wiki, I'm going to say my favorite race are the Gnomes. I see a lot of myself in them, personality-wise. Eccentric tinkers who often get excited when presented with something new and can bury themselves in their work for days on end.

As for class, and I'm going to assume you mean a class you can actually pick and not something like Engineer, I'll go with Mage. One of the first character ideas I have is a Mage who uses her skill with arcane purely for her engineering. For instance, she might point her finger at a spot and use the flames as a sort of torch, or use a sort of telekinesis type of ability to use a screwdriver or wrench in places she wouldn't be able to reach otherwise.

What are your expectations of this server?:
I expect the rules and policies described in the wiki to actually be upheld. I don't really want to see any PVP/PVE users trying to ruin the fun for the rest of us without severe punishment. I'm coming here with a true desire to be creative and to have a good deal of fun with people who are here for the same.

Out of all of our rules and regulations listed on our server, which appeals to you the most?:
All of them are great, but I think the best would clearly have to be Respect. It appears all the other rules and policies are simply based off of that single rule, examples of Respect in a way, so it's quite fitting for Respect to be the number one rule of the server. I'm a very respectful person, even when people around me are absolutely horrible to me, but I'm hoping that I don't have to deal with a single instance of that here.

Lastly, tell us a story! It can be short, it can be long; but most importantly, we want to see your work in action. Go!:
Being the perfectionist that I am, it'll take me some time to make something good enough for this, in my mind. I'll wait until I move to Gruntship to post something here.

Is there anything else you would like to add, ask, or otherwise clarify?:
I'm quite excited to begin here, but something you all should know is that my knowledge of the Lore is... mediocre. I'll be having a copy of WoW Wiki up while I RP to make sure I don't make any stupid mistakes, but just bear with me if I don't know every tiny detail about everything just yet. Like I said, I've only just begun to scratch the surface of what there is to see and do. Don't be too hard on me. ^^
