So She Shall Live Again - Karast's Ressurection
#1
Her death was quick, and happened in an instant. Tavren was up to no good again outside of Booty Bay. A dear friend, Demitrius, was in trouble of being enslaved. Karast would have none of that, not this time. But as the attackers fled, a stray bolt of deadly unholy magic struck her in the chest and sent her metres back.

... She was dead before she even hit the ground.

What a strange sensation ...

Slowly flickering her eyes open, Karast was confused to find herself standing on in knee thick fog as pale as her own skin. Nothing was seen for miles, not a soul in sight. A chill crept up her spine as the realisation hit her.

"I'm dead?" She would say, her eyes widening a bit.

" ... Crap"

With a roll of her shoulder, she ventured forth slowly. Why the rush? There was no where to go, nothing to hope for anymore, nothing to hold onto. But as thoughts of dismay and horror flooded her mind. A figured faded into view. It was ... Tsara? She was frozen in place, not a single muscle moved as she gently hovered on the spot. Approaching her, Karast reached up and touched her, and the moment she did, her vision went white.

...

Memories, memories of laughter and happiness. All the good times with Tsara, all flooded her vision quickly, flicking through each memory with great speed. Karast would suddenly step back from Tsara - breathless - and stare at her with an open jaw. "She's still out there somewhere" Karast mumbled to herself, spotting another figure off in the distance. This one, was Demitrius. The man she saved was alive, and that filled her with satisfaction. Like she had eaten a hearty meal, she felt full. Complete. With a nod, she mumbled "He's safe now."

Slowly, she was letting go, each figure she would step up to, she touched, watched the memories and paid her respects to them. "Everyone is safe now" she said. Khalia, Tabitha, Tsara, Gwen'tel, Demitrius, they were all safe, and she took one last look back at them before attempting to walk away from them. What she saw stopped her dead in her tracks. Hovering in place before her, was her weapon. A masterpiece that it was. It took Karast five months to forge. A perfect blade - she had not used conventional equipment to craft it. No a simple grinding stone was all she had. It keeps the original strength of the material Karast knew. The weapon was flawless, forged with Karast's own hands, day in day out she had worked on it. And now it was gone, the fading memory of Tavren walking away with that beautiful blade caused her grief and anguish ... that slowly turned to anger.

"He's still out there ... with -my- weapon" she would growl. Forged for her style of combat and physical characteristics, the blade and Karast were one. In her hands the weapon was deadly, in another's ... it would taunt her for the rest of her enteral life. "He's -not- keeping that blade!" Karast said furiously, and stepped forth to grab the hilt of the blade. In that moment, Karast's vision went dark ...

She felt heavy, like a ton of bricks had been placed on her stomach. The sounds of water splashing filled her ears, as her vision slowly came too. With a heavy breath, Karast gasped desperately for air, filling her lungs with the salty air. She was alive ... if you could call it alive. Her body ached, and pained all over, and the weight on her stomach was still there. Peering down, Karast found a woman laying over her stomach, unconcious. It only took a moment for Karast to discover who it was.

"Tabitha!" she would say quickly, attempting to get up. A sudden rush of pain filled her chest, as she hissed and groaned loudly, slumping back down into her opened coffin. Karast clutched her chest tightly. The pain was harsh, like needles continuously being jabbed. As the pain faded, Karast would carefully step out of her coffin and grab Tabitha, setting her carefully to the side of what appeared the insides of a ship.

Karast ... was alive.

"Think about the rain dance for just a moment. Don't you think you'd need rain dance practice? I mean some guys don't know it, some may have forgotten. You know what I wonder? Does it rain during practice? If it doesn't how do you know you got it right? And if it does ... why bother with the dance in the first place. Hey, need a little rain? Call a practice!"
