Blades of Aseldor - Contract: Shadow of Raven Hill
#1
[This is a resume of yesterday's mini-event of the mercenary guild: Blades of Aseldor]

Coriv was sitting in Booty Bay, having his usual mug o' dwarven mead, after a conversation with some of his 'blades'.
Grinning on the inside about how much power he have gained recently, with his newly started merc business. But this isn't about Coriv, it's about his band of mecenaries. The tall Kal'Dorei, Narrath approached him, seeking a contract.

Coriv had been having some encounters with a shadow priest called Harrien lately, and he was involved in some big plot which could hurt Coriv and his band of mercenaries in the future. Coriv told his fellow blade about Harrien and gave him a note about the details and where he had last seen him - around Duskwood.

Narrath did as he was told and brought his fellow guild members with him, as they ventured on their adventure into Duskwood. Encountering fierce sabers and bombs, they finally came into the shallow forests of Duskwood and ventured towards Raven Hill. Kreyalor, Keak, Lawliette and Narrath finally reached Raven Hill as they heard the scream of woman, coming from the abandoned shack of an inn. They rushed into the creepy tavern, they rushed through the masses of broken chairs and tables, the tavern was only lightened up by the remaining fire in the fireplace.

They came closer to the screams, and as Keak sneaked into the cellar he saw hundreds of corpses spread around, a tall and muscular orc standing behind a hooded figure. The rest of the mercs came down into the cellar and a fight between the mercenaries, hooded figure and orc began.

With the woman lying on the floor, as the only alive victim she had a armed sewed to her hip, looking like an attempt to make an abomination.
It was a gory fight and made the walls more covered in blood, that they already wore. The orc fell to the ground as the scaled helmet which covered his face fell off, it revealed his pitch black eyes. The hooded figure fell to the ground shortly afterwards and was executed by Keak's holy fire.

Kreyalor and Narrath brought the corpse of the orc with them and burned it in the fireplace, while Lawliette and Keak left. As they came out of the tavern, a red hooded figure was standing on a roof across the abandoned city. It was Coriv, their master, applausing them.

"Good job, blades - you deserve a promotion. Here is the reward. Split it evenly" Coriv said and threw a sack of gold coins on the ground before the mercenaries. As they shifted they gaze from Coriv to the sack of coins and then upon the place where Coriv was standing before, he was gone and only smoke was left. Shrugging on their shoulders they split the 20 gold coins evenly and walked back to Booty Bay.
