Echelon`s Introduction
#1
First and foremost: Tell us about yourself, as a player.:
Sup guys, my name is Jason. I've been playing games since I was a wee little lad, which was about the early to mid nineties. First genre I dabbled in was First Person Shooters, what with DOOM and Quake out at the time. I've been playing World of Warcraft for about five or six years now, so you could say I'm pretty hardcore into it. I am in my third year of College, my major is Game Design with a minor in audio and music. In my free time I love to write and mix music. I've had a lot of experience in Role Play from my time in retail and in guilds on other private servers.

What country do you come from? What is your primary language?
I come from the United States, Texas to be exact. I'm a rather modest Texan, however rare might be now a days. My primary language is English but I have been known to belt out a few sayings in other languages. Mind you most of them are "throwing grenade" or some version of "I like to ride horses fast".

How did you get into Warcraft?:
Oh man, that's a hard one. Let's see... I first started getting into the game back when they released the Battle.net edition of Warcraft 2. From then on I just went nuts playing it, Reign of Chaos and Frozen Throne, then eventually World of Warcraft.

What made you seek our server over others? (or How did you find us?):
I've actually been looking for RP just about everywhere you could imagine. It got to the point where I actually started looking locally for someone that I could RP with in WoW. Well, one of my friends caught wind of this and unbeknownst to me she RPed quite frequently on retail. Being a local RPer she heard from one of her friends that heard from one of her friends about a server called Conquest of the Horde. So she told me about it and asked me to check it out. That is how I came across this site. So for what it's worth, you're part of the local gossip out here in Texas, heh.

What kinds of roleplay do you enjoy?:
I love all of it, I tell ya'. Where I come from there wasn't a choice, if you wanted you wanted to RP and someone sent out a broadcast of a RP guild or random event, you were there. However to answer the question fully I do enjoy action and adventure style RP, with a little twinge of danger here and there.

What is your favorite race/class? Why?:
Orcs by far. Humans as well, but Orcs do indeed take this cake. Aside from them being -the- first race of two races in Warcraft; Their duty to their clan, their sense of honor and glory, the lore behind them, how they act within their community and wielding axes at birth are all the more reason to dig these guys. Naturally I would say a Warrior is my go to class, with all the armor and weapons available.

What are your expectations of this server?:
As anyone coming into the server would expect I imagine. I expect some awesome role play, plenty of memorable characters and events, a great community, a general good time and pie somewhere along the way.

Out of all of our rules and regulations listed on our server, which appeals to you the most?:
Tolerance is a rule that appeals to me the most, as I hold that rule very dear to me. Coming from other servers and from real life experiences, I have seen first hand what a lack of tolerance can do. It is good to see a server that shares the same values as myself.

Lastly, tell us a story! It can be short, it can be long; but most importantly, we want to see your work in action. Go!:
. . . A screeching sound shrieked out into the cold, hollow air followed by a slight rumble.
"That wasn't a good sound…" Daniel stood still, wide eyed by the phenomenon. As he held his arms out in a fake sense of balance the rooftop began rattling violently. The boy looked up to the horizon to see it tilting, his left side beginning to face toward the ground.
"I don't like where this is going!" He yelled as he whipped his head to the left, the adjacent growing closer. The building top the two were standing on was poised to collapse to one side, ready to strike into the neighboring skyscraper. Both males began cursing while they swiftly scrambled to the other side, not wanting to be the first objects to smack into the side of the other structure. The roof slowly gained momentum as it peeled away from the parent half that was connecting it to the earth. Snow began rushing around Daniel as he fell to one knee.
"We're going to hit the other building! Hang on!" Jack yelled as he picked his partner up by the elbow. The two ran for the door they came from, hoping it could grant protection from certain doom.
"Grab it! Grab it!" Jack again roared Daniel held his arms out for the swung open door. With a final step the kid caught hold of the door handle and held on for dear life. Not far after the man did the same on the opposite handle of the burgundy door. Both looked down as their feet slipped away from the roof, now suspended in the frigid air. The far edge of the building now had enough momentum to barrel toward the seventh and eighth floors of the other office building. What was suppose to be straight horizontally was now at a forty-five degree angle and growing. The top half of the structure became totally separated from it's base. Metal beams and girders clashed and tore loose from the bottom of the half, concrete sheering off all over. Daniel quickly shot a glance at two frozen pales of paint that were holding fast on the ledge, seemingly undaunted. A moment of absolute clarity washed over the boy as he stared at those two orange cylindrical objects. The hellish scream and roar of the breaking building stopped, his ears flooded with absolute silence.
"Oh Shi-!" Both screamed simultaneously as they watched the building they were still on obliterate itself into to the side of the other‘s outer wall. The final image of the roof crushing into itself flashed into Daniel's mind like the last picture in a photo album, then, complete darkness. . .

(No worries, they survive.)

Is there anything else you would like to add, ask, or otherwise clarify?:
Just as a side note, I do enjoy the color scheme of the site. It really goes gentle on the eyes in the waking hours of the morning. So thank you, whoever chose them.
