You would be able to be a gryphon rider as long as you don't go out of the abilities of what your class could possibly do. Like, for an example, if you were a gryphon rider as a warrior, you'd probably be able to hit things with weapons and throw a couple of things from the back of the gryphon.

I wouldn't give yourself any extra abilities though, that's changing your class.

Thank you BountyHunter, also ^ this times 1000

.... Gryphon Rider WITHOUT the hammers?

Cause they sure sound rare and expensive.

That's the thing though, in two different places it says that stormhammers are "signature weapons." The first one is a bit vague when it says the Stormhammer is the signature weapon of all Wildhammers, the second one says only of gryphon teams.

To my understanding, the Wildhammers do not all have Stormhammers. :P Only the Gryphon Riders.

I doubt all of them do as well, I was simply commenting on the vagueness of one of the entries regarding them.

Runeblades are DK's signature weapons and yet there are those without runic weapons or with such silly things as runeguns, runeshovels and even a runeboot.

Runeblades are a different story completely, though. The word "rune-blade-" is a misnomer. It doesn't need to be a blade, or even a conventional weapon. Terribly unorthodox things can work if they have the proper enchantments.

Stormhammers could very well work the same way.

The way I have always treated Gwydd's Stormhammer ICly was that it was runed and engraved by shamans from the Aviaries etc. Since they are forged in enchanted forges and all that stuff... that and the Wildhammer are highly druid/shamanistic culture.

Has this... gotten off topic or is it still on topic? I can't tell.

Doesn't every class have some OP weapon or ability/spell they can use?

Gryphonriders have stormhammers, Warlocks can implant a seed of corruption into your soul, if you die in a short time your soul is consumed by a newly summoned demon.

Perhaps the Shadow Priests' Shadowform as well, as they become more shadow than flesh. Most enchantmentless weapons cannot strike them easily.

Any class able to proficiently use a gun can use a Sniper Rifle, even if it's not a conventional or easy to get item, people can still get one and use it.

If this drove off the topic, it still makes sense.. to me at least.

Let me get my flak jacket on before you show me the rebuttal.
Do you have what it takes to join the Fighting Blues?
Do you have what it takes to defend your homeland?
Will you stand up in defense of the innocent? The weak?
Will you stand up in defense of Justice and the Law?

Flak jacket? Equipped. Rebuttal missile? Launched.

Really, the fact that all these classes have an OP ability balances it out, in my opinion. Also, Shadowform isn't really OP. The things you can -do- with it, however, could be considered OP in certain circumstances. I guess what I mean is that some things make the class, regardless of their OPness.
