The Eidolon of Demise
#1
There are some evil in this world that goes beyond even the scope of comprehensible evil. And, "The most merciful thing in the world, I think, is the inability of the human mind to correlate all its contents. We live on a a placid island of ignorance in the midst of black seas of infinity, and it was not meant that we should voyage far." - Call of Cthulhu, H.P. Lovecraft.

Introducing. . .

The Eidolon of Demise

What is it!?

The Eidolon of Demise is a trans-omniverse corporation, hitherto known as a ToC. Having recently expanded its operations to the linked world of the Outlands, the Eidolon of Demise continues to spread its greasy palms across civilizations, fueled by avarice and powered by utter, nonsensical greed.

What does it sell, then?

The Eidolon of Demise deals primarily in weapons. Arcane components, bombs, grenades, missiles, wands of fireballs, scrolls of explosive runes, scrolls of lightning bolt, daggers, swords, magical greatswords or. . .You get the idea. As long as it involves war in the form of dealing damage and killing things, the Eidolon of Demise provides. These items are crafted by a group of dwarves working from Ironforge, basking in the protection offered within the city and by having the gold to bribe guards for increased protection. Some humans too serve in the organization, working out of Stormwind instead, and these two major cities serve as the headquarters of the Eidolon of Demise; linked by the Deeprun Tram for efficiency.

And how would this concern players?

The Eidolon of Demise is not actively recruiting. It might not even be recruiting at all. Thats right, you heard it right, the Eidolon of Demise might be entirely closed! If it would ever recruit anybody, they would be the "Voices" of the ToC, brokering deals between it and others, negotiating for better terms and establishing friendly ties with other organizations. Perhaps in the future it might seek its own military branch for personel protections or escorting caravans and the likes, but it remains doubtful as the Eidolon of Demise is primarily a commercial organization and not a military one.

What? Then what has this got to do with CoTH?

The Eidolon of Demise serves simply as a company. It sells items of interest, and would actively pursue business relationships with other organizations. It does not discriminate or prejudice. It does not believe in moralities. It cares little whether you are good or evil. Only whether you can pay. The Blades of Aseldor, the White Sun Covenant, the Duskhaven Cabal, Orgrimm's Outriders or any organizations whatsoever, as long as you might require arnaments in the pursuit of your goals, would be approached by the tEoD, or any might approach it. It is not limited to organizations, however; individuals too may purchase whatever they require from it. Again; the Eidolon does not care, as long as one has gold.

Explicate!

Roleplay with the Eidolon of Demise is intended to give rise to mini-events along these lines:
1) Business transaction?
2) Establishment of diplomatic ties?
3) Violent seizure of goods?
4) Retaliation by allied organizations?
5) Caravan movement and ambushes?
6) Negotiations?
7) Assistance requested by others or by the Eidolon?
And. . . The personal goals of the Voices independent of the Eidolon?

Ultimately, the Eidolon has purchased P.O. Boxes throughout all the neutral settlements in the world and most of the major cities, ignoring factions and races, boundaries and conflicts. All interested parties can contact the Eidolon by IC-ly mailing to it, in which case do address your letter to Craer (Craer Naharev, Voice of the Eidolon). It can be simple, but it should determine a neutral meeting place; a meeting place in a secluded area or an unsafe location has a high chance of being rejected.

Hence, the Eidolon of Demise is not insofar a guild as an organization that seeks to link guilds together. Mini-events might even be arranged requesting assistance from individuals or third-party organizations to acquire rare arcane components for customers. Assassins might be hired as part of retaliations against any that renegade upon payment.

The Eidolon of Demise would like to publish a public statement to its shareholders that it understands the dangers in the present times and would work actively in acquiring new allies to stabilize its position in this ever-shifting demographics.

Can we sell to the company too? Or is it just strictly buying from them.

It works bothway; the company serves mainly as a retail facade, hence it needs to get its supplies in bulk from someone/somewhere. Hence, if there is a guild and/or organization capable of supplying it wants to do thusly, the Eidolon would be glad to form a mutually beneficial partnership with it. If there are any that the Eidolon currently needs, it would be:

A) A large supply of saronites, hopefully from an ongoing mining operation in Northrend or the such. The Eidolon would provide the logistical movement of these saronites out of Northrend and provide the necessary contained warehouses.

B) A large supply of felblood, hopefully from its dealings with demonic organizations or entities, perhaps an organization of warlocks. The Eidolon has no qualms whatsoever of expanding its underground market to supply drugs and felbloods to those who wants it, for a price, naturally.

C) A large supply of arcane weaponries and the likes, mainly wands, scrolls or trinkets capable of augmenting arcane defenses. In many ways, this is the Eidolon's favoured field, as there are many who would pay for a wand of fireball or a scroll of explosive runes, and it tends to be a lucrative market due to the raging conflicts that cover most of Azeroth and the Outlands.

The Eidolon usually buys these in bulk and consistantly, before disseminating them downwards to the population of Azeroth and the Outlands as a whole through its many retail stores. For its contraband and more iffy materials, the buyer would often approach or be approached by a Voice, more a business correspondent, or a Whisper. The Eidolon is very much a commercial retail transnation corporation, capable of promulgating goods and services down to the consumers, but it's industrial capacity isn't enough to meet up to the demands, and hence the Eidolon deals quite extensively with external organizations to augment it's productive capabilities.

Aurem est potestas!

Yours sincerely,
Zarquon

... Aulten

But, at some point in the future, I may require their services. Hell, Aulten will need all the men he can get his hands on. Arming them would be nice.

Greetings!

The Eidolon continues to expand from strengths to strength, as we are now in the middle of our first quarter in this year, and has successfully established mutually beneficial partnerships with at least half-a-dozen various organizations scattered around Azeroth. Just recently, we celebrate the conclusion of our first profitable deal with the Sixth Task Force Bravo, where thanks must be had for their commander who assisted us with issues of banditry plaguing one of our trade routes. The issue was resolved, however, thanks to the decisive and effective assistance of the Sixth Task Force Bravo, with the cargoes recovered and the bandits eliminated from the economical equation.

The Eidolon can count the Blades of Aseldor as our staunch allies, thanks to their leader Coriv who had been valuable in marshaling forces along with Kreyalor to salvage a caravan that had been destroyed in Northrend. Although the mercenaries hired were discordant and unreliable, with the expedition meeting setbacks that included a Kvaldir attack, they prevailed in the end and managed to recover the cargoes of utmost importance. This success allowed the Eidolon to further it's deals with another entity, and hence brought into effect the acceleration of a profitable and joyous future ahead!

The Legacy Brotherhood too shall enter the list of esteemed clienteles with the successful conclusion of the meeting between the Voice, Craer Naharev, and the leader of the Legacy Brotherhood, Aranthios. A bright and profitable future awaits this partnership, with the Eidolon looking eagerly towards a bond of mutual benefits and symbiosis. This new partnership is poised to be a fruitful and blooming one, that would certainly aid the Legacy Brotherhood with their lofty goal and racial harmony and co-existence by peacefully subduing any who disagrees. The Eidolon on it's part is selling weapons and arcane equipments at a ten percent discount.

And last but not least, the Eidolon is proud to conclude the halfway mark of the first quarter with this milestone; a strong alliance forged with the Marcone Family that shall guarantee the advent of a new age of economic prosperity in Stormwind as the two organization expands their business throughout the city, complementing capital with manpower and establishing a powerful and reliable factor market. Coincidentally, perhaps as a sign of the blossoming profits to come, the Eidolon managed to purchase a few commercial establishments way below the market price by extremely willing sellers. Naturally, the Eidolon looks forward to a lucrative and auspicious future with the Marcone Family.

The hallmark of the Eidolon had always been efficiency, reliability and friendship, with the Eidolon striving to stay ahead of the game by providing clienteles with reasonable prices and extraordinary qualities in our goods. With the flourishing weapons market in lieu of the burst of renewed conflicts across Azeroth, the Eidolon would finally like to add that it approves of this message: Its time to start kicking some ass.

Spiked boots are now selling at a twenty percent discounts on all Eidolon retail stores. Limited stocks available. So come and get yours now! Terms and Conditions apply.

Yours sincerely,
Craer Naharev

... I revive this thread! I will possibly require the Eidolon's services again in the near future.

That is all, for now.
