Stormhead`s Introduction
#1
First and foremost: Tell us about yourself, as a player.:
I've been playing world of wacraft for about 2 years. I started out on a normal retail server, then transfered to a PvP server because my best friend emmigrated to sweden and i thought it would be a good way to stay in touch with each other. It was, and we normally play together, but i can't stand PvP. I don't mind it in battlegrounds, where you're getting out against someone of the same level, but getting killed repeatedly by a character 5 levels higher then you when you're trying to just get on with the game is incredibly infruriating. I'm very social and have made some really good friends over games and the internet in general.
Although i'm generally easy going, but there is one thing i stick by that has got me sworn at countless times, but i think i'm justified: when healing, i refuse to heal any dps who repeatedly, deliberately pulls. i don't care whether they can tank it, its a matter of principle. you don't queue as dps and then make the tank redundent. if you wanted to tank, you should have rolled a tank. but you didn't. so dps and stop trying to be something you're not. my friends think its pretty ruthless, but i'd rather let a group wipe then put up with people who overstep their role.
I think thats a good thing, but thats up to your personal judgement.

What country do you come from? What is your primary language?
I live in Essex, just outside of London, England. I speak English and don't know anything else.

How did you get into Warcraft?:
My ex-boyfriend and his mates wouldn't stop talking about it, so i decided to see what the fuss was about. Got quite hooked! My main character is an orc hunter, which was the first character i ever rolled.

What made you seek our server over others? (or How did you find us?):
I found you through google. i was looking for a private roleplay server because i started playing dungeons and dragons (the pen and paper, not the mmo) and i really enjoyed the role play aspect of it and thought doing it on warcraft would be a lot of fun. the official role play servers are disappointingly not very strict and mostly full of people who didn't know what sort of server they were on when they created a character.

What kinds of roleplay do you enjoy?:
I love talking to other people, and i also love custom emotes. although my retail character was not intended for roleplaying, i often found myself getting caught up in it so much i ended up doing so, especially in rgards to my raptor, Caffran, who i normally call "baby" and make a fuss over.

What is your favorite race/class? Why?:
I love orcs. I didn't know much about them when i first started, and just picked them because i loved their appearence, but once i started learning more about their game, their sense of honour and respect won me over. i also love the way they're not as barbaric as most orcs in other fantasy settings.
My favourite class is Hunter. The hunters pet is what grabbed me originally, i thought it would be awesome to always have a teammate to rely on to work with. I also loved the archery aspect. i've tried out all three talent trees, and although beast mastery gave me the least dps, i stuck with it because its more enjoyable.

What are your expectations of this server?:
I'm really looking forward to being in-character and not being the only person who is!
i thought that anyone who went out of their way to find a place to role-play must be quite like-minded in terms of role play and socialness.
Quite sad to be leaving my retail hunter behind, but i'm sure i'll enjoy one just as much here.

Out of all of our rules and regulations listed on our server, which appeals to you the most?:
Respect and tolerance. It sounds like its taken very seriously here, which is great because sometimes on retail you get the impression blizzard really don't care.

Lastly, tell us a story! It can be short, it can be long; but most importantly, we want to see your work in action. Go!:
I will complete this later.

Is there anything else you would like to add, ask, or otherwise clarify?:

Hello Stormhead! I'm Loxmardin and it's my pleasure to welcome you to Conquest of the Horde!

I notice you very often forget to capitalize the word "I". Please keep this in mind in the future.

If you haven't already, I'd suggest that you double-check the rules and policies of the server on our very own CotH Wiki. If you have any questions, you should consult the Wiki and the available subforums which contain a fair bit of information ("Forum: Search" is your friend!) first but you are of course always welcome to contact a GM if you can't find what you're looking for, or ask on the forums!

Have fun, enjoy your stay and see you in-game!

Happy RPing!

Apologies, I'll look out for it in future.
