Alanman`s Introduction
#1
First and foremost: Tell us about yourself, as a player.:
I've always been intrigued by private servers, and I've even dabbled in running my own for a small group of friends. I'm fairly easy going, and I like a good RP. I'm a massage therapist as well as a pc technician.

What country do you come from? What is your primary language?
I'm from the US, and I speak primarily English.

How did you get into Warcraft?:
I've been into warcraft since warcraft 2. I've played some of warcraft 1 and 3, but got into starcraft more instead of warcraft 3. However, I've definitely enjoyed the story through the warcraft saga, and I'm still curious to see where it goes.

What made you seek our server over others? (or How did you find us?):
I found your site a couple of years ago, and I was excited about what you had to offer. However, I hadn't RP'd online much at all at that time. Just recently my wife found your site again and we both decided to sign up.

What kinds of roleplay do you enjoy?:
I've been playing tabletop RPG's for years, and I enjoy a good story. I would like to RP in a variety of scenarios to keep my character as real as possible. Though most of my RP experience has either been in small groups or solo chatting with my pet (via pet emote :D )

What is your favorite race/class? Why?:
Trolls have always been a favorite of mine, but I can't quite put my finger on it. I like their way with the spirits. Which brings me to my favorite class: Shamans. However, I've played nearly all the races, just not humans, but I've been a hordie at heart since I started on my warcraft path.

What are your expectations of this server?:
I'd like to be on a server where the RP is good, the players are, respectful of each other, and Goldshire/Silvermoon aren't just brothels. I've read the rules and I'm certain your server will easily meet my expectations.

Out of all of our rules and regulations listed on our server, which appeals to you the most?:
Definitely would have to be respecting others.

Lastly, tell us a story! It can be short, it can be long; but most importantly, we want to see your work in action. Go!:
This is the story of my first character: a Troll Shaman. The abridged version.
Kultak always had a knack for seeing spirits. He would talk to rocks, herbs, ghosts, and some ancestor spirits on a daily basis. So it came as no surprise to his tribe when the elder offered to train him in the ways of shamanism. He excelled, for his peaceful nature was appealing to the elements. When it was time for him choose his path, he saw a great deal of suffering in the world and began on his path as a healer. He journeyed across Azeroth, helping who he could and making friends everywhere.

As fate would have it, Kultak was stuck out in a dust storm in Tanaris one day. Being a jungle troll well out of his element, he pondered for a moment if this were to be his undoing as he searched in vain for cover. Then he heard a horn call and headed for it as best he could. It seemed like hours trekking through the storm, but he made it to the cave were he heard the horn. As he worked to get the sand out of his eyes, he heard a low growl in front of him. With his sight returning, he discovered that that growl came from a large, ghostly white cat. It slowly inched toward him threateningly, but Kultak noticed something else. The cat was injured. He knelt down and set out his water totem, and he asked the cat in a soothing voice to come to him. The cat growled again, but seemed to be sweating and panting excessively. Before either could make another action, the cat fell over. Kultak hurried over to the cat and discovered a large puncture wound in its hind leg; it oozed with a green ichor that smelled of gumbo that was left out for a week. Battling nausea, Kultak went immediately to tending this cat's injury. He used special herbs and some magic from his water totem, and finally cured the ailment that he would later discover to be caused by silithid venom.

He sat back to rest, murmuring soothing words as he ran his fingers through the cat's white fur. Then he noticed a humanoid form illuminated by his totem. A Night Elf woman. And this was her pet he just saved. The soft blue light revealed she was a little worse for wear, and her glowing eyes just stared at him.

She ran her fingers through her pet's fur, making sure he was alright. Then she looked back at Kultak and thanked him in a rudimentary form of the orcish language.

He was amazed to hear a night elf speak in orcish, and now he wanted to know more about this person who fate made him share a safe cave with while waiting out the storm.

This event would lead Kultak to the realization that there are more important things to worry about or deal with other than which of the the Horde or Alliance should hold supremacy over Azeroth.

Is there anything else you would like to add, ask, or otherwise clarify?:

Hello Alanman! I'm Loxmardin and it's my pleasure to welcome you to Conquest of the Horde!

If you haven't already, I'd suggest that you double-check the rules and policies of the server on our very own CotH Wiki. If you have any questions, you should consult the Wiki and the available subforums which contain a fair bit of information ("Forum: Search" is your friend!) first but you are of course always welcome to contact a GM if you can't find what you're looking for, or ask on the forums!

Have fun, enjoy your stay and see you in-game!

Happy RPing!
