TanTan`s Introduction
#1
First and foremost: Tell us about yourself, as a player.:
I'd like to have as much fun as I could have.

What country do you come from? What is your primary language?
The Philippines. It's uniquely a bilingual country. We speak English and our provincial language. For me, it is Tagalog. Think of it as being able to speak Common and Troll.

How did you get into Warcraft?:
Graphics was awesome so I played it.

What made you seek our server over others? (or How did you find us?):
Google. I wanted to try retail but I consider the time I'd have to spend just to level and the discrimination on RPers there.

What kinds of roleplay do you enjoy?:
Adventure, interacting. Trivial stuffs. Mostly adventure. I felt immersed in the game because of the stunning digital environment.

What is your favorite race/class? Why?:
Trolls. I just like them because they seem silly and I like silly. As for the class, nothing in particular. I enjoy whatever class I am using, and spec. I love experimenting.

What are your expectations of this server?:
To let me be creative and have fun.

Out of all of our rules and regulations listed on our server, which appeals to you the most?:
This Introduction thing. It's important to consider who the players are because there would be the one molding the experience. It weeds out those whose interest are not in this place.

Lastly, tell us a story! It can be short, it can be long; but most importantly, we want to see your work in action. Go!:
I'm just going to take out something from the only WoW fanfic I made. I didn't bother much with the accent. For me, they mostly speak in plain English. I mean, I won't be spelling things out differently to make it sound British English from American English. Although there might be a variation like "going to" shortened to "gonna" by Americans...

Lastly, I did not bother revising this. So...errors along the way. Grammar and lore. There is no ending or next chapter. I didn't finish :D

Cheers.

THE LAW OF HUNTERS
"Twenty years ago, the Silverwing Sentinels were wiped from Horde's victory in Warsong Gulch. After Orcs logged the forest, an angered force turned the forest into a being that must be stopped. With Druids powerless, only Hunters can stop the forest beast."

A rough, brown-skinned Dwarf reloaded his self-made gun. He attached a new scope he made after an Orc Shaman almost blasted him. He turned his gun like a pole to save himself from the Lightning Bolt. The scope did not last from the Lightning Bolt, but his gun was as sturdy as he made it. Of course, the Orc Shaman thought him dead when the Lightning Bolt exploded with the scope. The simple-minded Hordes can be so laughable with their lack of knowledge with the laws of science.

Aaro Edgemaster is a Miner and an Engineer. Though he was already a middle-aged man of one hundred thirty years, his skills had not roughened up one bit. He was always a Hunter who lived on his own—a hermit of Winterspring.

However, Aaro heard news of their winning battle in Warsong Gulch – if reinforcements arrive. After a day of travel, Aaro joined the Alliance in the battle to finally stop the Horde from logging Ashenvale.

The other reason was his intuition that she would be there.

She wasn't his ex-lover or anything – in fact, she was his former student.

He knew she would be there because the Horde also gave incentives to help them win their losing battle. Aaro knew she would come for this incentive.

Aaro's trained Hawk Eye surveyed the area as he approached the base. The grasses have been scorched by Fire Mages. The dead foliage crumpled like paper beneath his mail boots.

For a moment, he saw a dark wisp moved. Realization later on made him conclude it was a Night Elf. The confirmation was the emergence of a bear – a Druid in bear form. The Druid Bear glanced at Aaro and led the way. Following the Druid Bear's gesture, he followed, supporting as the Druid Bear's shooter. With the darkness in Ashenvale, the trained eye of the two would surely get any Horde down.

Of course, he knew she would be an exception.

That's right, she was part of the Horde – she was a Blood Elf.

A very backward individual she was.

“AWWK!”

The screech of a Birds of Prey – an Imperial Eagle. Aaro turned with his gun aimed at the diving bird, but the Druid Bear did not think Aaro would manage and had intercepted for Aaro instead. The Imperial Eagle only got away from the bear's swipe. Aaro followed the Imperial Eagle, but now, he was completely open.

The pet's mistress leapt from the side and with dual axes, she attacked Aaro. The Druid Bear once again intercepted. The blades of the axes did not penetrate the skin of the bear, as expected of the bear form of a Druid. The attacker turned back, pony-tailed hair whipping as she ran. Aaro's eyes widened in recognition.

“Wait!” he called to the Druid Bear.

The Druid Bear chased after the attacker, missing the Freezing Trap waiting ahead. Being a Hunter himself, Aaro knew the tactics of one – especially when it was the very Hunter he taught.

The Druid Bear roared as soon as one of its paws stepped on the trap. The trap untangled a magical burst of aura that caused the Druid Bear lose heat. Each end of its fur was icicled literally and its legs seemed to have stopped functioning properly. The bear looked up and could see an arrow sky-diving.

Aaro saw the arrow with a sting – Wyren Sting. It would cause no serious harm, so instead of using the seconds to save the bear, Aaro advanced to meet head on with his former student.

The bear had been stung and was now falling asleep in the aura of ice. If Aaro really knew his student, he would know she would use a Frost Trap this time to secure the bear. This, he could not allow.

Aaro put his thumb and pointing finger in his mouth and whistled. Ironjaw, a wolf in Terrokar Forest attended to his master's call.

“Don't try hiding, you petty Rogue-Hunter!” Aaro taunted.

The Imperial Eagle suddenly came back and snatched Aaro's gun. However, Ironjaw snapped its jaw and clutched on the bird's tail. The bird's talons released the gun, which Aaro retrieved. The Imperial Eagle and Ironjaw went into combat. It was about time the Imperial Eagle's mistress comes out.

Aaro aimed his gun and his eye caught a glint of a flask. Aaro was no Alchemist – this was something he couldn't predict. The danger he knew more when the Imperial Eagle retreated back. Aaron ducked and the flask exploded on the ground.

Fire scorched the grasses. Aaro could feel the fire heating his mail armor. Ironjaw was moving his paws about to fight the heat, but loyal to his master's side.

It turned out it wasn't a Fire Mage that scorched the grasses. It was the power of Alchemy.

“You—“

His line was cut off with an arrow shooting down. He dodged easily, but then the arrow unexpectedly exploded into a Frostbolt blast. Aaro's body was chilled dramatically. He began to move – but he could hear the chains in his mail armor creaking. He can also feel the Freezing Aura getting to him.

“Hahaha!” she laughed. The Imperial Eagle settled on her shoulder. “Not only does the rapid temperature change crack through steel, but Frostbolt slows you down quite a bit. Actually, normally it can't be applied to arrows, but…” She smiled. ‘Normally' and her ways didn't quite match.

“Deis!” the Dwarf growled.

“No arguments this time?” she smiled haughtily.

Aaro frowned. “Your overconfidence.”

At this time, the Druid Bear awakened and mauled Deis. Deis was truly fooled by her overconfidence, but the Survival Hunter's quick reflexes had answered the problem. The Imperial Eagle flew off as Deis matched the Druid Bear with her axes. She parried and Counterattacked, pushing off the fighting claws with one axe and expertly pinning the bear with her other weapon. Deis fled to gain distance, and possibly setting down another trap.

Deis switched to her bow and aimed at the Druid Bear.

“Partner!” Aaro called with Ironjaw's rechristened name.

Partner attacked Deis. Deis struggled against the wolf's bites with only her bow. The Hunter then whistled, summoning her pet.

Aaro looked at the skies, searching for her Imperial Eagle. It was no bird that she had called though. Her Imperial Eagle had been dismissed already. A crawling, green, camouflaging spider was coming up from behind Partner. The spider spat out a sticky web that bound Partner to the ground. The wolf struggled, growling at the spider that had hidden itself with its color.

Deis retreated, dismissing her pet. Aaro gritted his teeth. “Come back here!” he yelled, firing his gun at Deis. Deis took out a flask with a bubbling green liquid inside. She drank it and gain incredible speed, fleeing from range. A good Alchemist always has a Swiftness Potion!

“A true Survival Hunter she is,” he said, grinning.

“Urf!” Partner cried out.

The fire, the iciness, and the web disappeared. Partner had gone off to attack. Aaro's grin disappeared. A Tauren Hunter was aiming an arrow. Aaro recognized this renowned Tauren Hunter--

“Arroweye!”

Aaro raised his gun and quicken his next shot with a trained Rapid Fire. However, the Tauren Hunter's Steady Shot had been fired.

The arrow missed Partner, missed Aaro – hit the Druid Bear's right eye.

The Druid Bear cried out in pain. Axes could not harm its skin, but an arrow pierced on its eye breaks all its armor. The Druid Bear's form fell on the ground, crying in pain.

Aaro and Arroweye both exchanged fire. Aaro hit Arroweye's shoulder twice with Aaro's temporary firing speed, but Arroweye was steadily aiming another Steady Shot despite the bleeding shoulder. Aaro's luck did not get better when Arroweye's Uhk'loc, white-furred gorilla, came and protected Arroweye from the bullets. It jumped and hit the ground with its fists, causing both Aaro and Partner to feel the electrifying, shock force.

Two Marskanship Hunters could only gain advantage now with their pets. Aaro has trust with Partner, but Uhk'loc was taking the damage for Arroweye to hit. Aaro has to get Uhk'lok attention. It wasn't hard annoying a gorilla, but he can't underestimate Arroweye. He must have trained Uhk'lok to this extent.

Just as Aaro was about to gamble with his next shots, the shaking ground both took the Hunters' attention.

“Take down our enemies, Andragal!”

“Uurrr!”

The stampeding Wooly Rhino Bull ran past Aaro. Uhk'lok dared against the bull, grabbing onto its horns. The bull flailed, ignoring the fly weight clinging on its horn and threw Uhk'lok towards Arroweye. Both were knocked back ten yards.

A large, broad Draenei dramatically entered the scene. He has a very light skin complex of purple, a forehead plate that appears to have wings and spiky, dark blue hair. He has a bear before his ears and the distinct Draenei tail-like facial hair just past his ears. In his dominant hand was a sword, resembling a dragon with its spiked-edged ends and ‘open mouth'. The dragon was designed to be blue with yellow lining on the surface of the sword. A live-like red eye shimmered on the surface. As the Draenei raised this sword, it burst into life with a blue-fire like energy burning from the sword.

“I, Tammar of the Draenei, guided by the Naaru, shall pierce into your iron heart! Lionheart Executioner!”

Tammar's body seemed to rage with great power. The Draenei's peaceful appearance burst into a bloodlust as Tammar and Andragal lunged for an attack. Arroweye made no hesitation to flee, and this right decision suddenly turned the battle around.

“FOR THE HORDE!”

Reinforcements from the Horde came like a wave, but the Draenei and his rhino did not stop. Enraged in bloodlust, the Beastmaster took down multiple enemies.

Aaro hid behind some rocks. He is defenseless in reality. The Draenei Beastmaster will not protect him while in this rage. Aaro heard of Tammar's great rage in battle. He and his pet were truly powerful when in bloodlust, almost as if he was an orcish Hunter.

Aaro was going to fire from this distance. He would have to strike down the mages, warlocks, shamans, and priests that Tammar could not take down with their distance. He steadily aimed his gun. He looked through his scope but found it to be shaking unsteadily. It couldn't be his hands or Tammar's pet. He could at least withstand the impact from the ground. Something must be doing greater impact.

Not too soon, Aaro found the answer with its deep growl and blazing fire.

“GROAR!”

A two-headed beast black beast with fire burning in its flesh frightened the Horde. It came with a growl and fire, like that of a presence of a demon. One of the most feared beasts: a Core Hound.

However, the only Beastmaster to have tamed a Core Hound was a Haxxzor: a half-ogre and a half-orc: a member of the Horde –he who has not appeared for several years.

“Haxxzor!” the Horde cried out in joy. “For the Hor—“

Haxxzor's ebony-skinned, giant figure loomed quietly. Without speaking a word, his Core Hound breathes out lava mercilessly. The lava scorched the ground and spread slowly. The Horde slowly backed out, both shocked at the attack of an ally and by the fact they were facing against a Core Hound.

Is there anything else you would like to add, ask, or otherwise clarify?:
I hope there are a good number of casual roleplayers here.

Howdy TanTan! And welcome to Conquest of the Horde.

While we do tend to cling to the lore, there is indeed casual RP. That can mostly be found in the town of Booty Bay.

Now then, if you haven't done so already, I suggest checking out the rules and policies of the server on that incredibly useful thing known as the CotH Wiki.

If you have any questions, I suggest checking the wiki or searching the forums for your answer, because someone's bound to have asked it in the past! However, if you're lost, you can always post about it in the forums or ask a GM!

Just keep in mind, we don't care what level you start roleplaying at! I suggest you join the 'chat' channel immediately upon getting in game (/join chat). You'll find a portal to the OOC zone in each major city, usually near the bank, but you can ask someone if you're having trouble.

Hope you enjoy RPing here! And I hope to see you ingame!
