So I went ahead and created a GHI item designed to incorporate your character into the random rolling system that most of us still use! The item is still being worked on but I'd just like to get people used to the thought of using an item like this. Currently it is designed for roll fights between the people that have the item, for example in a tournament. I myself absolutely loathe the length that some trust fights can go through and we all know that making an epic emote and having lady luck kick us in the nads sucks. So I designed this system based off the D100 that is usually used for rolling, I may be inclined to change this though since D100 is -very- random.
The way it works
Working with this item is very easy, all one needs to do is run the item once upon logging in. Once the item has been activated it'll prompt you for your desired stats: Current stat point limit is 20, may be subject to change. These 20 stat points will have to be distributed amongst three stats:
Strength
Strength increases your melee attack rolls by 1% per point.
Strength increases your ranged attack rolls by 1 per 4 points.
Dexterity
Dexterity increases your ranged attack rolls by 1% per point.
Dexterity increases your melee attack rolls by 1 per 4 points.
Dexterity increases your defense rolls by 1 per 4 points.
Intellect
Intellect increases your spell attack rolls by 1.5% per point.
Your defense rolls will also be affected by the gear you are wearing. Cloth will receive less bonusses then plate for example.
After the stat points have been distributed all you need to do is type: /atk (emote) /rng (emote) /spl (emote) or /def (emote). If no emote has been entered it'll simply display an automatic message with the roll. If an emote is entered it'll display the emote and display the roll at the end, including the type of attack so be sure to leave some space for the rolls in your emotes! Your maximum health is also displayed in a nice GHI buff that can make it easier to track your current HP. An item to reset your maximum health will be added below.
It is that easy.
Yet to come
Future stats to be added: Ideas are very welcome, currently the system is very bare.
Luck: increases rolls by a flat amount.
Endurance: increases health.
Possible change from the D100 system to a less random system.
Possible increase to the stat limit.
The item
Simply copy pasta this code into your GHI's import function for the dice set.
I think the problem with this is it would truly be a hassle to keep track of character sheets in GHI, in addition, it's just not a good programming thing. Take my system, for example. It's about 500+ lines of code. I shudder to imagine what it would look like in GHI.
That's why I plan on keeping the system simple using simple calculations for the rolls with the stats as a variable declared by the character sheet creator item. The system is mostly intented to take the hassle of checking character sheets and calculations away from the DMs and let it be done by the player's item instead.
Examples of the roll calculation could be the following
*Rand 100* x (1+Str/5) + (Dex/5)

Then, wouldn't you need different items for, say, aoes, attacks, magical attacks, life drains, and healing? Just think of how massive your GHI backpack would be.
The way I envision it, it will require only three items.
The Character Sheet creator.
The Attack Dice.
The Defence dice.
The attack dice will calculate a roll for your character using the formulae for the corresponding attack. You will be prompted with a pop up for the type of attack.
The defence dice will calculate a roll for your character based on your stats.
The character sheet will simply create your stats into a variable so the attack and defence dice can use them.

But then you have the headache of making sure everyone has GHI, then giving them all the items. Not to mention someone could screw with the code and break the whole system.
The items can be distributed fairly easily using the GHI import function.
The only real hassle would be having GHI.
While I think it's a great addon and love it's possibilities, I believe many still don't use it.
Then again this will only be one of many systems people can choose from, I believe I shall go ahead and start scripting the system to atleast have the option there.

Updated main post with beta release.
I feel like I must add that this system will not turn your rolls from absolutely horrible to magnificent it is still very much so random because of the d100 system.
