Breath. . .

Lexton's mind yelled at him to breath faster, he was running faster then his body could take in air. Skidding behind a tree, Lexton slammed his back against the tree. His mind fumbling with the words of a spell, his eyes seeing edges of red across his vision.

Breath. . .

Sounds of outrage were heard from the path he came from, the chill in the air grew stronger as night was approaching. His hand holding over a hole in his tabard, now stained in the crimson life force of his own blood. Again his mind was fumbling the word in his mind, the pain in his lungs and wound hurt.

Thud . . .

A axe hit the tree he was against, stumbling forward he started to move once more. Every moment his body was in a mad protest for him to stop, but to stop would mean death. "Not today" he said softly as he ducked under a branch and turned around. As his hand escaped the exposed wound, the blood on his hand fumed and flared up. "Vas Por!" the words formed on his lips and a fire ball flew through the air, striking a skeleton in the chest, shattering it to pieces.

"Gotta keep moving"

Lexton moved but his feet were dragging, the loss of blood and not taking in enough air for the last few moments drained his strength. Coming up to a clearing, he looked around for any danger. Sounds of ghouls behind him echoed through the decayed forest. Again moving forward sent jolts up his body, pleading with his brain to stop the movements. Crossing the clearing, he stopped dead in his tracks as he saw the outline of a abomination in front of him. Lexton looked around, he couldn't fight a Abomination in this state. "Damn.." he muttered under his breath. His hand instinctively reached into his pouch, trying to pull a rune free. But the bag was empty, there was no teleporting to safty, even tho the idea sounded more painful then walking.

"Light show me the way...

Wind picks up. . .

Lexton had little to no choice but fight, he was a long way off from camp and there was no way he was going to make it through the woods without treating his wound. Dropping to his knees he heard the ghouls approaching faster behind him, the Abomination hadn't noticed him yet. Again removing his hand from his wound, he muttered something under his breath. Two fingers seemed to glow and resembled branding prods, hot as white iron.

"I am going to regret this.."

The words escaped his lips, louder then he wished to speak them. The fingers touched the wound, tracing its length with a hissing sound. Gritting his teeth he tried to keep himself from yelling out, the smell of burning flesh was apparent. The Ghouls cleared the tree line and saw the kneeling figure, the smell of blood was strong. The Abomination hearing the ghouls noticed Lexton as well. Lexton eyes were closed, he was trying to fight through the pain to get form the words of a spell.

Loud foot steps approach

Two Ghouls lunged at Lexton, as the abomination approached faster, whom seemingly wasn't about to share a meal. Lexton's eyes flared open, the burning orange glow escaped from them. His hand raised and slammed down. Like a explosion from a barrel of gunpowder, a wave of fire shot out in every direction from Lexton's Form. The shock wave evaporated the Ghouls and tore the abomination's torso in half, even the trees nearby seemed to crack under the sudden shock.

"Breath.." Lexton muttered before falling to his side, drained from the spell and casting it in a weakened state.

Night over takes the land. . .

The grass felt crisp and damp, the air started to grow it still chill that could bring a chill up the spine. Lexton slowly stirred, but his body was refusing to let him up. Slowly his eyes fluttered open, he wasn't dead. He was grateful for that much he thought, but now he was in a dangerous situation as the undead seem to lurk in the dark. A fire would give away his position, and by the smell of the air there was a storm on the way.

Laying there, he stayed silent. Listening to the surroundings, there was nothing that would be drawn out as a threat, but he still had a eerie feeling about him. Closing his eyes, he tried to will his body up into a sitting position, but his torso wouldn't bend not even a budge. The wound to his lower torso took alot out of him, the loss of blood on top of casting a blast wave in such a sate. ^"Luck your not dead"^ a female voice rang in his head, a memory of one of his instructors back in Stormwind.

Lexton smiled slightly, the thought of her hadn't raised in his mind in years. Then again females tended not to slip into his memory at all as of late, the business of war had his thoughts on other things. But now laying in some field, half dead with the corpses of his enemies around him. He thought of what he never had, a meaningful relationship with one of the opposite sex. Never felt the touch of a woman's lips against his own, or to hold one in the middle of the night under a pile of furs. ^"Women..things made for warriors" ^ he scoffed slightly at the thought. ^" I can slay Abominations, take on hordes of undead, and talk my way through tough negotiations.. and yet I can't talk to a woman.. his thoughts lingered on the concept.

"Foolish Mage, in life you wasted everything on the notion of revenge." these words were real, or were they. Slowly Lexton's eyes opened and noticed a slight bluish haze above him. Looking up, the crown of the Lich King was apparent. "Come to finish me then?" Lexton spoke, but the words were weak if not whispered. The Lich King removed his helm and looked down upon him, the face of Arthas.

"Why do I need to finish you off Mage, you have little to nothing now.. I feel your power draining with each breath you take." Arthas spoke, but the words seemed not to affect Lexton. Lex looked at him, and simply spoke "I made it my life's mission to fight the undead scourge.. I made it my goal to see you fall. Lex spoke, but this was more of a memory then anything, in the back of his mind he knew Arthas had fallen. "A wasted life.."

Lexton closed his eyes again, he didn't have much care to speak to the Lich King. Slowly the realm of dreams opened its gates, and let Lexton slip into a restful sleep.
