A.K.A. The Greater Goblin Organization Of Do-goodery

“I may be compelled to face danger, but never fear it, and while our soldiers can stand and fight, I can stand and feed and nurse them.”

~~Clara Barton, Founder of The Red Cross

From each corner of Azeroth, there stems a call for help. And in each corner, there are people not only willing... But able to answer this call.

The Greater G.O.O.D. is an organization of these selfless individuals, who not only send supplies to those in need, but aid in their struggle, and feel their strife. But at the end of the day, after teaching a wounded Furbolg it’s first word of common, or eradicating a violent disease from a tribe of Taunka with Goblin antibiotics, members of The Greater G.O.O.D. feel something that few others on Azeroth have the pleasure of knowing; truly aiding another group out of sheer selflessness.

The Concept

Boss Ross the Troll Engineer of Kezan has founded the Corporation aptly named The Greater G.O.O.D. in the hopes of spreading aid out across Azeroth and beyond, to those unable to receive help from within through either monetary problems, or lack of a solid government. Genocide, child warfare, and starving veterans are all present in the war torn world these people live in, and Ross hopes to ease the pain by spreading supplies, money, and security.

The Good, The Bad, and The... Rule-y?

Best to get this out of the way early on, so we can get to the good stuff!

IC Rules

Respect other cultures and belief systems. Violence via intolerance is one of the many reasons the Greater G.O.O.D. had been founded.

DON’T steal ANY of the supplies being shipped to those in need.

No getting drunk on the job. Period!

OOC Rules

Any race/class can join, but of course, those that dabble in the dark arts (warlocks, shadow priests, and Death Knights) must be more than willing to prove they have good intentions.

Joining is not necessary, nor is it recommended, persé. The guild is simply a way to boost quality RP, and is by no means anything more than people trying to help out.

All OOC Guild chat -must- follow CotH’s rules. I’ll be rather strict on this, aside from cursing. I retain the right to g-kick a person for purely OOC reasons (within logical reasoning of course. If you feel you’ve been mistreated, feel free to PM me), and tough luck if you can’t think of a way to explain it IC. During events and such, guild chatter must be kept to a minimum.

If a character gets ‘out of line’ in Ross’ view, they may be kicked from the guild. This could be anything from offending those the guild is helping by mocking their customs, or assaulting a guild member.

If a player metagames, powergames or godmodes, resulting in detriment to another person's RP, they will be kicked from the guild permanently, with their forum name noted down. If we get into unscrupulous dealings, this will be an especially important rule.

The Ranks

In The Greater G.O.O.D. there aren’t true ranks, simply varying levels of contribution that land a person higher on the rungs within the guild. This is the order, starting from highest to lowest.

Joining the guild is not mandatory at all, in fact, most people helping out wouldn’t actually be a part of the guild.

What We Do, and How We Do It

If it hasn’t been made clear in the above posts, what we do is help those in need. Send shipments of food across treacherous highways plagued by bandits, inoculations for the sick up river of a vile sea monster, or help gather supplies for refugees of some cataclysmic event. This will be played out through two types of events; Combat, and Diplomatic. Combat events will compromise the bulk of guild events, but the Diplomat-oriented gatherings will still be a major part of what we do. These will likely be smaller events, for one to three people, as opposed to battles which will require more. We’ll use the standard roll system, but may eventually switch to Duskwolf’s combat roller. Event suggestions are always a plus, since the more creative juices we get flowing in the idea pot the better!

I guess the Southseas Fisheries wasn't working out for him?

Maybe Jen can lend him a hand when she comes back.
