A steady hand is the key.

First and foremost: Tell us about yourself, as a player:
My name, Moreh, is the Hebrew word for teacher. A beautiful fit for a role player, because, as I see it, it's the most important aspect of the activity-- teaching, that is. When participating in a role playing community each player gets such a vivid insight into the morality and pains of human kind; views that we could only guess at in an everyday environment. It's my belief that this sort of truth only really comes out when "pretending" as we do. A wonderful irony, I would say.

What country do you come from? What is your primary language?:
I come from the United of States of America, my primary language being second generation English (That is to say beneath Shakespearian, but above text/Jersey Shore speak).

How did you get into Warcraft?:
This may sound silly, but I was introduced to Warcraft through the South Park episode. Watching it I thought to myself, "Huh, that actually looks pretty cool." After giving it a try I found my assumptions were correct, and I was hooked.

What made you seek our server over others? (Or how did you find us?):
One of my major disappointments with the paid World of Warcraft servers was that there was very little identification between players and avatars, and even the most insignificant role play was hard to find. As such, I thought it a good idea to seek out a server with the dedication to story I so badly yearned for. A couple Google searches later and I was at your website.

What kinds of roleplay do you enjoy?:
Though I will participate in and enjoy most themes of roleplay, I find I have a special affection for those with a political or philosophical basis! Whether it involves pledging loyalty to gods and kings, or plotting a revolution, my enjoyment always peaks when characters interact in deep thought.

What is your favorite race/class? Why?:
I would say that I most enjoy the Orc Shaman combination. The Orc for the constant balance the race must maintain between instinctual rage and humanity-- this internal battle is one that rings strongly within myself. The shaman for their emphasis on spirituality. I'm fond of the idea of conquering one's self in order to better conquer the world around them.

What are your expectations of this server?:
I expect of the server what I would expect of any other society. I expect to see fear, rage, love, battle, and alliance. I expect users not to cooperate as characters necessarily, but to cooperate as writers in crafting a world worthy of its players. I expect true-blue roleplaying.

Out of all of our rules and regulations listed on our server, which appeals to you the most?:
Humility! Ah, beautiful humility. For what good is a world with so many characters if one attempts to dominate the rest? We must all realize that we are cogs of this roleplay, and none of us the machine. That is the only way to make a story as round and full as possible.

Lastly, tell us a story! It can be short, it can be long; but most importantly, we want to see your work in action. Go!:
Jonah stared at the cold bars in front of him, the steel spires a symbol of his prison's dominance. It was difficult for him to tell how long he'd been sitting on the damp floor of his cell; he could not mark the days by the sun, for he had no window, he could not mark the days by sleep, for his body never tired, and he could not mark the days by conversation, for not another soul had presented itself. As well, the reason for his imprisonment had grown foggy. He remembered however, that whatever the reason, it was not his fault. He was merely a victim of circumstance. Beyond the bars in front of him there was a deep darkness, that Jonah found, when he stared long and hard enough at it, would reveal ghost like images: A sobbing woman, a sick boy, a racing horse, a fierce storm. These visions were the most common, and Jonah would spend a great deal of time trying to decipher their meaning. It was during one of these periods of staring and contemplation that a bright light appeared in the distance beyond the bars. Entranced, Jonah stood and felt suddenly warm. An intense longing to be closer to the distant light overcame him. A step forward and the bars before him melted away into nothingness, and with each step afterwards, each step into the darkness and towards the light, Jonah's images melded into memories. The woman had been his wife, and their child had been dieing. He might have survived if Jonah could bring back medicine. However, Jonah's journey to town had been interrupted by a storm. It had thrown him from his horse. It wasn't his fault. He was a victim of circumstance. Jonah was consumed by the light.

Is there anything else you would like to add, ask, or otherwise clarify?:
I would just like to apologize if am not going about the process of posting my introduction correctly. I was a little bit confused. Thank you for your consideration.

Hello and welcome to COTH!

If you haven’t already browsed around already, please do make sure to check out the rules and policies so you’re familiar to the server’s expectations!
As for making your first character, there are a lot of helpful articles and guides for you to read up on in case you don’t fully understand the lore. The wiki also contains helpful tips for making a character and for when you’re writing your first profile, such as weight and height.

When you get your account created, make sure to /join Chat and /join Barrens for if you have any questions not answered in the forums. If I’m online feel free to whisper me or send me a PM.

I apologize if it was confusing, but you did it right! Do tell me what was confusing about it though over PMs so we might improve it. I know what South Park you're talking about [loved it myself], and I admit I giggled a bit that it sparked your interest. S' not one I've heard before!

Hope you enjoy your stay!
