First and foremost: Tell us about yourself, as a player:

Well, I've never actually played much of retail. I first started playing WoW with patch 1.12 private servers where the max level was 254 and you could solo bosses. I got bored and left for a while, and came back during 2.4.3 for more pservers. That's when I started finding out about RP servers (I'd been RPing long before that, though...) and decided to try them.

The server I was on got screwed up and I jumped from different PvP servers. Eventually I became bored and put WoW on hiatus until the WotLK release. Nothing's really different between that time (3.0.1, maybe?) and now in terms of WoW for me.

I'm not sure if non-player related content belongs here, but I'll throw that in as well. I'll be 19 in July, and I'm a full-time student / part-time network operator. School's out for summer, though, so I have more time for games like WoW.

What country do you come from? What is your primary language?

USA, and English.

How did you get into Warcraft?

I sort of answered this before, but I played Warcraft 2 when I was younger after picking it up from a thrift store. I found out about WoW when it blew up and tried a private server with friends.

What made you seek our server over others? (Or how did you find us?)

Google. I've played other RP servers...but I really don't want to patch to Cataclysm. Laziness, maybe?

What kinds of roleplay do you enjoy?

Anything but combat, because people that I observe don't do it very well. Ruins RP more often than not for me.

What is your favorite race/class? Why?

Uhh...in terms of RP probably Sin'dorei. They're not terrible to look at and I feel that I'm able to portray their cultural personality well.

When I'm playing PvE/PvP servers it's probably Orc, though it used to be Tauren. I usually just pick one race and stick with it.

What are your expectations of this server?

Maturity. Juvenile "drama" and power struggles (especially with administrators) are discouraging to me.

Out of all of our rules and regulations listed on our server, which appeals to you the most?

Probably the same answer as the above question. I understand that there are younger people on the server, but there's no need for anyone to act like a baby.

I don't really like rules, to be honest. If you publish them they're so much easier to break.

Lastly, tell us a story! It can be short, it can be long; but most importantly, we want to see your work in action. Go!

I was in a discussion with an individual about self-perception of emotion. It began when I mentioned that I didn't find emotions beautiful. But really, how can you? I'm aware that you can find beauty in literally anything (or nothing) because beauty is subjective, but let's look beyond that.

I feel as if emotions are not so much a symbol of beauty, but rather a tool by which an individual is capable of finding qualities akin to beauty. Through emotion an individual is able to share their personal thoughts and experiences with the comfort of the specific context in which they are shared. Comfort is often seen to provide security that serves as the foundations of trust, which is often necessary to build a strong relationship.

This makes me wonder how people perceive other tools, tangible or figurative. The term "underrated" is the first I thought of. People often take for granted the simple aspects of life...at what cost?

Rule #32: Enjoy the little things.

Is there anything else you would like to add, ask, or otherwise clarify?

I listen to a lot of hip hop.

Hello there Jiri, and welcome to CotH.

If you haven't done so yet, it's worth glancing over our Wiki to take a look at the rules, see our guidelines for making a character and perhaps even look over a few approved profiles while you're there. I waste far too much time reading as it is, and I still like to browse it every once in a while.

Rules have a lot of functions. Defence, speed, fluidity.
The key thing is to pick and choose which to break, and most importantly, when to do so.
Sometimes, going out of your way to break a rule just because it is so, can be perceived as infantile.

Interesting take on the story section, by the way.

I hope you enjoy your time here. Do feel free to PM me if you have any further queries. I'll try and answer to the best of my ability.
