Glory Awaits!

First and foremost: Tell us about yourself, as a player:
I'm AntiRaz. You can call me Raz. I'm a joker with a heart of gold! (Not literally, of course. The medical repercussions would be disastrous..) I find WoW itself to be enchanting to no end, but RPing and interacting with others in general really make the experience for me. I can not stand people who are rude for no reason. I also hate newts. I don't trust them. That's a story for another day, though..

What country do you come from? What is your primary language?:
I come from the grand old United States, Florida to be specific. Fort Lauderdale to be REALLY specific. My primarily language is English.

How did you get into Warcraft?:
Warcraft is just one of those things (or phenomena) that everyone in our society sort of knows about to some extent. A few years back, I decided to see what all the fuss was about and bought the game for myself. After playing the game for a few hours, I immediately came to despise it. No, wait. The other thing. I immediately came to love it! Yes, that makes much more sense. I've been playing on and off now ever since then, with the occasional time off to get my life back in order after months spent neglecting my loved ones. (I am, of course, joking. ..to some extent.)

What made you seek our server over others? (Or how did you find us?):
I was never really able to find any retail servers where people could actually RP and not be ridiculed for it. Because of that, people who actually did RP in those servers were few and far between. Not to mention the fact that those monthly fees were not something I could really afford, trying to work my way through college and what-not. I tried other private servers looking for strong RP communities, to no avail. I eventually looked for a server that was exclusively for RP, and I found this marvelous place!

What kinds of roleplay do you enjoy?:
I think it'd save us all time if the question were what kinds of roleplay I DIDN'T enjoy. Relaxing tavern roleplay, fighting, danger, just about anything you can name. As long as I don't have to roll a blue dice with 20 sides to it, I'm willing. I can do my fair share to contribute to group roleplay, but smaller groups are where I really shine. I find it easier to get to know the others involved when the groups are smaller, and that's what I like to get out of a good RP. Building your relationship with the person(s) involved, not just running around stabbing people in the eye and trying to make yourself seem way cooler than everyone else involved. That being said, I'll roleplay just about anything with anyone. Except a newt. If you're a newt, then you're just.. straight out of luck. I apologize.

What is your favorite race/class? Why?:
My favorites races are Night Elves and Blood Elves, while my favorite classes are Druid, Warlock, and Rogue. My reasons for loving those three races are basically the same for all of them: for lack of a better word, their culture. It might seem a bit strange to claim that a fictional race from a video game can have culture, but no other word can describe it. The Night Elves have a connection with and understanding of nature that can only be described as beautiful, and don't even get me started on how overwhelming Darnassus can be the first time someone walks into it. Darnassus is undoubtedly my favorite capital city in the entire game, with the only close competitor being Silvermoon. That brings me to my second favorite, the Blood Elves. Obvious aesthetic reasons aside, I'm partial towards playing this race because of their fascinating history. Having to take on a new identity and ally themselves with the Horde after the Scourge nearly made their race extinct gave the Blood Elves a certain distinguished dignity that someone who wasn't familiar with their history wouldn't begin to comprehend. I favor playing a warlock or rogue because I'm admittedly drawn towards the classes that seem more "evil." Consequences be damned, I can play a good bad guy. Maybe I just have evil genes, I don't know. I'm drawn to the druid because a class that uses one's connection with nature as a way of fighting is just wonderful, and I love being able to turn into a bear. Bears just have it easier, it's a fact.

What are your expectations of this server?:
I just want to be able to make friends with people and feel like I'm actually a contribution to the server. I'd like to be a part of a mature roleplaying community that can challenge me to be creative and really fit in with everyone here. I get the feeling that this is exactly that kind of place, which is why I'm so excited to get acquainted with everyone here at CotH. Overall, I can say that I expect to fit in well here and I expect this to be a strong RP community with active, helpful members.

Out of all of our rules and regulations listed on our server, which appeals to you the most?:
I'm a big fan of the fact that characters that are created solely for the purpose of adult RP aren't allowed to be created on the server. I'm not saying that I'm not partial to a good adult RP when the situation permits it (I know, don't hate me. Please don't hate me. Oh, god. Do you hate me?) but people who make characters for strictly sexual purposes can really make the game uncomfortable for everyone. I don't think I even need to tell you the kinds of terrible things that go down in Goldshire. I can't pass through that place without wanting to take a shower.

Lastly, tell us a story! It can be short, it can be long; but most importantly, we want to see your work in action. Go!:
General Reigenbak rode calmly through the gathering crowd of ironclad guardsmen into the circle that had formed in the center, where a mountain of a man stood in wait for him. He slowly dismounted his horse and took a step forward into the clearing. He stared his colossal opponent down with a murderous intent, which was appropriate given the circumstanced. The general had every intention of killing this man before the day was through. A wind began to pick up, catching strands of his golden hair and sending a chill down his spine. The giant had only stared back at him, not giving any indication that he planned on making a move any time soon. He had to do something eventually, though, unless he planned on getting stabbed through the chest.

"Move already. I'm getting sick of staring at your face," growled Reigenbak.

A blank stare was the only response. The general scowled, but didn't risk an attack just yet. He had seen his opponent in battle before, and this wasn't a man he was eager to fight. Still, he knew he couldn't simply stare the enemy to death, so he walked forward until he was right in the other man's face. Finally, the giant spoke.

"I don't wish to fight you. Before I knew of you, I thought I was the last of our clan. We should not fight for such trivial reasons. We are brothers in honor, you and I."

Reigenbak's eyes narrowed slightly. For a moment, it appeared as if he was considering the man's words. That notion was dispelled from everyone's mind when the general twisted his lips into a wicked grin and began to laugh in his face. The crowd's silence was unnatural.

"Spoken like a true idiot. You speak of clans, and honor? These men are my clan now! And my honor will come from killing you," came the reply."

With those words, the clansman closed his eyes and sighed to himself. He outstretched his arm and gripped the top of Reigenbak's head firmly, the muscles in his massive arm rippling under his skin. A gasp escaped the general's throat, and all that followed was a strained gurgling noise. He gripped at his attacker's arm, struggling desperately to alleviate the pressure against his skull. The man lifted his arm and took his victim's body into the air, his feet dangling above the ground. With seemingly little effort, he then flung the general aside, sending him crashing into the crowd of his men and inciting looks of terror and disbelief from the onlooking soldiers. The clansman's face seemed almost pained. He looked upon the man he once considered his kin and no longer felt any connection with him whatsoever. The once proud general was now just a lump of flesh and shame. He cracked his knuckles and adopted a battle stance.

"Come, then. Gain your honor."

-La Fin

Is there anything else you would like to add, ask, or otherwise clarify?:
I apologize if it's all a bit long, it took me a long time to write it all. I really wanted to show you much thought I put into it all. Thank you, Good night! Don't forget to tip your waiters!

Hello and welcome to COTH!

If you haven’t already browsed around already, please do make sure to check out the rules and policies so you’re familiar to the server’s expectations!
As for making your first character, there are a lot of helpful articles and guides for you to read up on in case you don’t fully understand the lore. The wiki also contains helpful tips for making a character and for when you’re writing your first profile, such as weight and height.

When you get your account created, make sure to /join Chat and /join Barrens for if you have any questions not answered in the forums. If I’m online feel free to whisper me or send me a PM.

General Reigenbak. Reigenbak? I didn't know I left. About the 'so long as you're not rolling a blue dice with 20 sides'...can it be green then...or pink? And no, the intro wasn't too long at all, I was glad to see a lengthy one to be honest. I also happen to be from Florida, the Orlando area, good to see we're taking over the server.

Hope you enjoy your stay!
