My introduction
#1
First and foremost: Tell us about yourself, as a player:

Ive been RPing for a few years now online via forums and other games. I much prefer paragraph posting but often change my RP style and post length to better match and accommodate those Im RPing with.

What country do you come from? What is your primary language?:

USA, english

How did you get into Warcraft?:

I played initially in highschool but stopped and left, for what became one game after another, though many were fun none of them contained much roleplay until I stumbled upon the game I have been playing for years now. When I found that a dedicated role play community existed. In which a player could have both the fun of combat, level, loot etc. with the interactivity and creative plots of role play I decided it's worth a try.

What made you seek our server over others? (Or how did you find us?):

A friend of mine currently plays on the server and was the one who brought it to my attention. After reading the material it seems like a wonderful idea.

What kinds of roleplay do you enjoy?:

I've role played many different characters from a human cleric, to a lycan or even Rokea (wereshark). As for situations I tend to stick to fantasy or CARP.

What is your favorite race/class? Why?:

I tend to favor shape shifters or humans in my role play but have had fun playing multiple races or character types. when it comes to MMORPGs I often favor the healer or the mage.

What are your expectations of this server?:

Some good but challanging role play. A great combination of WoW leveling and loot with a better community sense than mainstream WoW ((the barrens is and was unbearable))

Out of all of our rules and regulations listed on our server, which appeals to you the most?:

Well its one of the first items on the rules wiki. Respect.. you don't have to like my character, or even me OOC but for the sake of the server, and to allow role play to happen respect is required. If there isn't respect then there's going to be OOC conflict and people purposely interfering in another's role play. Though the opposite could happen, without respect people may get ignored and role play stifled altogether.

Lastly, tell us a story! It can be short, it can be long; but most importantly, we want to see your work in action. Go!:

Here is one of three prologues ive written for my own fantasy work

Spoiler:
Anax’s footsteps padded along monastery hall as the bell rang in the temple. The service was about to begin and it was his duty to begin the ceremony with a short speech. His black and red robe flowed behind him as he moved swiftly to the rear of the temple. Pausing to take a breath, he leaned against a tall pillar and ran his hand through his scruffy hair. He had been too busy preparing his speech to have combed it, although his hair was the least of his worries. No weapons or armor were allowed within the temple walls, so most of the members wore robes of red and black that tied at the waist. Even though the monastery itself had a training grounds where Anax often sparred with his with brothers of the monastery. Anax slipped in the back door, as the other cenobites began to chant and he took to the podium. Behind him stood an arcane archway, which they believed to belong to the gods they worshiped. It was over twenty feet tall and ornately decorated; it was also known to be one of many, and each of them were considered sacred.

Anax’s voice carried, there were roughly a hundred of his peers present, out of the few hundred men and women who lived within the monastery, they rarely if ever left.“Today, marks an important time for us who warship the tribunal. The seasons are changing and the auburn leaves now fall to the earth. We are gathered to celebrate, not only the gifts that our Gods have bestowed on us, but to celebrate the end of war” Anax was young, only in his twenties, yet he had proven to be devout completing 4 years of study in under two. Because of this, the elders thought to allow him to set an example by delivering this year’s blessing.

He spoke of a war that began long before his birth. For over fifty years the land had been ravaged by war, yet it seemed no one in the land of Daedeleon understood when or where it started. Even less understood were the enemies. Many say they were spawned from hell and crawl through deep fissures in the earth; others seem to imply that the beasts were warriors of another God, trying to lay claim and steal it from their Gods.

Anax gave a calm smile to his brothers and sisters “It is time that we pray, let us give–” the ground trembled, and the calm atmosphere was filled with screams, the monastery outside was being assailed. Anax leaped quickly from the podium. Everyone cleared from the temple and ran to see what was causing the noise. Again the ground shook to a sound that rang like a clap of thunder, and above flew a beast, a scaly abomination of nature. Its’ decrepit hide was scarred and covered in obsidian scales, yet it looked like a giant hellish imp. Even as it flew above, it stank of rotting flesh and a putrid green saliva dripped from its’ mouth. Its’ eyes glowed with a red unholy light. Anax yelled, trying to command the panic stricken crowd “Back into the temple! Everyone back into the temple!” But the screams and cries of the others were too loud. The large demon landed on the stone walls that surrounded the temple causing them to crumble, the beast’s tail swung violently causing more debris to fly into the chaotic crowd.

The people began to retreat into the temple as the creature ran rampant, destroying the buildings and the walls, they prayed furiously to their Gods even as the temple around them collapsed, the windows shattered and the pillars began to crumble. And while their end became apparent the archway began to glow; Anax slowly approached it stopping a few meters away both excited and afraid. The arcane symbols were now red hot and a mystical swirling energy emanated.

Just then a large armored figure stepped through the gateway, humanoid and ten feet tall. The massive figure wore loose plates trimmed, and decorated with gold with ornate figures. He was one of their Gods, one of the holy tribunal, Ouremnon. Anax stumbled before the God, pleading “Ouremnon, our lord of war, God of victory, have you shown yourself to us to save us from the demon which threatens our lives?”

The towering deity reaches through the portal, pulling out a large sword the size of two grown men. Looking down through the horned helmet Ouremnon roars, causing an immense shock-wave of energy to burst from the God sending Anax tumbling backwards. His eyes were an amalgamation of reds and browns, his pupils, the shape of an “x”. Anax sat, paralyzed by the glare of the God, before the deity spoke, his voice bellowed making all in the crumbling monastery tremble.

“You, have committed a travesty in the name of your God– you declare peace? You will have peace when I give it to you!” Ouremnon took a step forward, his large sword dragged behind him leaving a deep gash in the once beautiful stone. “You humans are NOTHING!” The words didn’t register for Anax had to repeat them several times in his mind “we are nothing? We are, nothing?” Dazed, and stunned, the large demon kicks down the doors of the temple, and shrieks but doesn’t move as it waited for its’ master to finish.

“I have grown sick and tired of playing games with you humans” Ouremnon raised his sword and continued. “You know nothing of war, and all will now see this war has not ended! And it will not, until every soul has been sent to the afterlife!”

Ouremnon took a huge swing with his sword, cleaving the temple floor in two. The crack began to seep a dark mist that slowly took form. Kruund, as they were known, were the enemies of the war which Anax had just proclaimed over. The blood could burn human flesh and could take the form of humanoids or animals. Having formed from the dark mist, an army of twenty shadowy figures stood in an ethereal fog. Ouremnon turned to leave returning to the untouched archway, he offered parting words to his worshipers while slipping back to his own plane. “Mortals, fools”

As Ouremnon left the glowing arcane symbols of the archway dulled; his shadowy figures stayed. The entire temple became filled with an unnatural darkness and the scaled demon sprang from the doorway, its’ claws ripping into the flesh of the remaining monks. All that was heard by the remaining worshipers were screams, breaking bones, and the sickening sound of the demon devouring every last morsel.

Each and every monastery dedicated to Ouremnon was destroyed the same way, nothing but a bloodstained floor remaining. Over the next century the presence of the kruund grew exponentially; not only in numbers but intelligence, strength and organization becoming a more prevalent and ongoing adversary to the denizens of Daedeleon.

Is there anything else you would like to add, ask, or otherwise clarify?:

nope

Hello there Nihi, and welcome to CotH.

If you haven't done so yet, it's worth glancing over our Wiki to take a look at the rules, see our guidelines for making a character and perhaps even look over a few approved profiles while you're there. I waste far too much time reading as it is, and I still like to browse it every once in a while.

Thank you for the story; I hope you have fun!

I hope you enjoy your time here. Do feel free to PM me if you have any further queries. I'll try and answer to the best of my ability.
