Okay after doing this for two weeks I have discovered two things. First off, is that I am easily distracted Hmph. Second, is that I actually did manage to keep my focus during something important. I got a compliment during an event that I was quick to emote, roll and didn't go AFK. I use macros to emote and roll and attach them to my hot-bar. That really made me feel like I accomplished something with this little project.

On topic I do have a couple announcements to make. My wife is finally joining me working second shift! No longer will my days be an empty void with only CotH to comfort me before I go to work. Also, last night was the last official working Saturday until August! Since Saturday my wife is all kinds of busy, it will be open for all kinds of RP.

tl;dr - Good news!

I'll be working an excessive amount of overtime this week, plus Saturday.

Starting this Monday, the sixth of August, they will have to! For I have been "awarded" a first shift position!

I am unsure how it'll affect my role-playing besides the fact I won't be RPing from 6:00 PM to 12:00PM server time. I'd wager I'll also be less active at first as my life resettles.

I'm pretty much speechless otherwise but I think Kril' put it nicely.

Soon™

My transfer has been blocked due to manpower issues. So I got another week on Second shift. This will be my forth person to train on my process. Out of everything I do.. the hardest thing is always trying to train a good work ethic.

Congrats. Can't work first myself. Can't get up for work reliably at four in the morning. Hope you are enjoying it.

Yeah I got to get up at 4am on tuesday (normally 5am) so we'll see if I can make it. Crazy, I used to go to bed at these times!

I'll be working tomorrow, which is important because the weekends is the only time I get to RP with some people. Also been working overtime as well, putting a drain on my RP drive.

Hurr, since I'm here, I'll also be working next Saturday, the 15th. See you when I see you!

Apparently those robots are causing a ruckus again, and they need the professional to come in and whip them into shape proper. I'll be moving back to second shift, for hopefully only a couple weeks. The fun starts Monday, September 17.

Urg.

Mmm, just look at that old post. Time for news: I re-trained the people I left on second and have returned to first for some time now. I have a few more meetings throughout the week but now everyone is training to be at their best. At the end of the year more robots will be retired so we'll see what that means when we get to it.

In the meantime, I'll be leaving town Wednesday the 21st and won't be back until Sunday the 25th. I'm going to visit my sister-in-law in North Carolina for Thanksgiving, so that'll be a nice break. Hopefully, this Thanksgiving will be like Brewfest. I'm so looking forward to be a happy lil dorf with rosy cheeks and a full belly.

Take care!

I'm headed out of town Friday the 22nd after work and when I return I'll be very busy up until late Sunday night.

You get twice as many days off for a weekend and everything sort of gravitates to it. x.x

I see no reason to throw up a new thread when.. this is an oddly fitting locale for this. Today marks the fourth year I've been a part of this community. Anyone who has known me for a length of time realizes that I have been absent most of that time. I cannot offer to you fond recollections of times past because that would do a disservice to those I've might forgotten. I've cherished it all. I've cherished the people as well, though many have gone their sep'rate ways. You could say I have seen more forest rather than the trees.

I will say I've never left out of anger or disappointment in CotH. Truly, I am simply blessed in real life. And an Xbox that still works. I must admit I am still a gamer at heart and certain ones simply sweep me off my feet for a time. Most of my friends also know I work way too much. I need to, there is no other way around it. I will, however, shoot down all accusations that I am married to my job because there is this wonderful woman I really am married to. And yes, she gets top priority!

I am unsure why I went on a tangent explaining my various absences to you, but I will leave it there. I suppose I wish to say, "Don't give up on me." I might leave now and then, be flaky and disappear, give up on an character that was connected to you, drop from a guild, or just walk away from an RP; but I mean nothing personal about it. My life is in constant transition as well as my mood. ...To which I realize I've started rambling so until my next return, I leave you with a song.
