It is said that deep within the lands of CotHrraria lies a village built with gold. Protecting it is a gigantic tower known only as the "Sky keep". The nearby people claim to have never seen movement in the tower, or it's master. It has been there ever since they arrived, silently guarding the abandoned village and all it's rewards.
Few have dared enter the tower, but when they do, the fewer that return tell tales of tests and trials led by a man known only as Doctor Doomthaniel and his assistants. Braving the tests required agility, wit, strength, and yet, anyone can attempt it just the same. Those that clear the tower's tests gain access to the village where they may build their home and live. However it's said that the tower has more space than it needs, and that those that venture to seek Doomthaniel may gain incomparable reward... Or receive unimaginable offers.

To those unaware, CotH has a terraria server. It was never made a public post about it, I think, but the connection info is there, in the forum.
About the tower.
As you enter the tower, you'll see several signs with the rules, and a piggy bank. It's suggested that you leave all your money at the piggy bank, as your character may die and we'd hate for you to lose your cash.
The tower consists of one (or more) test(s). Those will be decided by the respective Floor Master.
About the Floor Masters.
Doomthaniel's assistants, the Floor Masters judge those who are worthy or not of entering the Golden Village. They'll give you a test, which can be just about anything, and should you pass, you continue. Should you fail, you die. Simple, no?
About the Golden Village.
As the name dictates, it is a village made entirely of gold. Though you may notice that as of now, it's only a short corridor - Well, you can fix that! The thick walls are actually filled with Golden Brick Walls underneat, so you can mine your way into shaping a house of your own. As it stands, the village will only support one house above and another below, but if needed, we'll gladly expand it.
About Doomthaniel
To find Doomthaniel, you first need to make sure I'm online! Then tell me of your interest to find him, so I can position myself. Near the Golden Village there is a discreet statue of Doomthaniel, and once spotting it, you're at the right spot. But the home may be either above or below, or it may have been moved. You'll need to dig and find out!
About the rewards.

Time taken to build the tower - Around 20 hours.
Blocks used - About 2000 golden blocks, 3000 hellstone blocks, and over 10000 stone blocks. An entire single player map's worth of gold, stone and hellstone.
I honestly don't remember how many walls were used. Hellstone walls don't exist, so I used red brick walls.
Deaths due to lava - More than I can count. About one every 15 minutes.
Buckets of lava taken - Over ten thousand. Way, way over ten thousand.
