I guess this is an absence thread; I’m not sure.

I remember when I first joined the GM team. By the time I was fully put in place I had already witnessed a massive spout of drama in the form of Lethys and Lucelia, and by the end of it I had learned two things;

1) That Cressy was in fact a verifiable nub, and
2) People and relationships can get hurt.

I made a promise to myself regarding the second one, once Wuvvums came on the server. I was paranoid, and was always telling her that she shouldn’t be around X character with her current one or that she shouldn’t say this or that, because I was afraid that if she ever got in trouble I would have to vouch for her. I was and have continued to be worried consistently about people blaming me on favoritism, and at the same time trying not to be unfair with my own girlfriend. It’s been a balancing game I’m not sure I’ve ever mastered, as some seem to think.

I did make a promise, though, that if at any point my relationship might be damaged by this server then I would step away. It’s been a fine line, but one I’ve never been closer to than today.

I’ll be taking a break. I’m not certain if the break is permanent or until the restart, but it’s one or the other. I’ll still bop around some against my better judgment, but I won’t be nearly as active.

I’ll be cancelling Khaz Modan, as well. I apologize to all who are disappointed by this. I’m disappointed as well.
