Spoiler:
Anasarnia laid motionlessly. The tall female Draenei was laying on a bed in the Aldor Rise infirmary, suffering from a severe injury. She was dressed casually, and not for battle as the Vindicator was used to. It felt strange, being so light. She was so used to her armor by now, it was like a second skin to her. Her body ached with pain, and her head hurt greatly. The point of impact, where the Death Knight shattered her skull felt like it was on fire. Where cracked bone once laid, now held a metallic plate. Anasarnia groaned in pain, her very existence aching. She had suffered injury before, far worse then this... But that was only to the physical extent. "Everything hurts... Why must the pain follow me..." She muttered to herself. She was used to taking a hit for others, but this stung bitterly.

Eventually, a priest of the Aldor came to check up on Anasarnia... But... He was not Draenei. His face slashed and torn, every bit of his once athletic blue frame decayed and injured. The corpse of a Draenei stood over Anasarnia, grinning to her with heavily sharpened teeth, as he hissed out. "Vell vell... Vat have ve heer... A little, sssssssssnaaaaaack!" It roared out before plunging down its teeth into Anasarnia's neck, tearing off flesh and muscle. It's hands, now mutated into terrible claws, sunk in her chest which released a scream of pain on her end. She was being mutilated, her body torn to pieces as the creature feasted on her very flesh. Suddenly, a beautiful sword pierced the creature's chest, causing it to burst into a black sickening vapor. Anasarnia mumbled weakly, a mangled bloody flesh as she looked to him. A strong athletic man, with a powerful build that could shrink the mightiest of Orcs down to size. In his hand, held a beautiful crystal sword, gleaming with a warm light.

"F-father..." Anasarnia muttered in a sob, her eyes watering as blood leaked down in a terrifying mess. Her father spoke, his soft tone reminded her of the stories he told her. Of the beautiful worlds he had seen ravaged by the Legion, and of the duty she must take for her people. "My child..." He muttered lightly. "In darkest times, you must be a beacon of light... You are a Vindicator, Anasarnia. Never forget your duty. Never forget your loyalty. And most of all... Never forget your heart." He leaned down, embracing his bloodied child with a stern hug. Anasarnia's body shot with pain, but she did not protest. "F-father... I'm so confused... I'm lost... What if I can not over-whelm the darkness?" Anasarnia asked through gritted teeth, tears rolling down her eyes.

"Simple, my child..." Her father spoke. "Wake up." A few moments passed, Anasarnia repeated. "W-wake up?" Her father nodded. Her head began ringing with voices, almost like a chorus. "Wake up... Wake up... Wake up... Wake up, child of Light. Take up your sword, and fight... Fight for your race... And for your child to be. Wake up!" Suddenly, Anasarnia shot up with a yell of pain, the doctors above her scampering, one was not as lucky and recieved Anasarnia's horn smacked on to his, leaving no real damage. The doctors looked to Anasarnia with concern, a sweating mess, with new stitches on her head. "Easy there... Lay down..." One of the doctors approached Anasarnia, trying his best to calm her. His attempts were quickly answered by Anasarnia grabbing the collar of his robe, pulling him close with weak strength. Anasarnia was a rather brute of a woman, and probably scared the man enough into submission. "M-my gear... M-my sword... A-a-and my s-shield... Where are they?" She muttered in pain. The doctor rested her down, against the soft bed. He spoke in a nervous tone. "Your gear is being held in the Barracks, Vindicator... Please, rest. It is very dangerous for you to stay up in your state!"

Anasarnia gritted her teeth in pain. Her body ached, and her head felt like it was going to explode. "My state?! What is that suppose to mean?!" She spoke in anger, mostly out of fear. The doctor spoke once more. "You were lucky to survive... Something shattered your skull in. You have a serious concussion, and we're suspecting a blood-clot. Please, just... Lie down, and avoid unnecessary stress." Anasarnia groaned, letting go of the man. "How long will I need to be here?" She asked tierdly. "We're not too sure exactly, Mrs. Anasarnia, is it?" He asked. "Just Anasarnia... I'm not mated..." She grumbled. "And what do you mean not too sure?" She asked once more. "Well, you see..." The doctor began. "This injury could take quite a while to recover... And you might never be able to fight once more. So for your best safety, stay in bed, and avoid stress." He exclaimed. Anasarnia groaned lightly, her fists clenching. She gave out a light nod, clearly not pleased with the words of the man. "Is there anything we can get you?" He asked lightly. Anasarnia nodded once more.

"I need to write to someone... Get me some paper and something to write w-with..." After the letter was written, and handed to the man to send, Anasarnia was left alone, to stay in her own thoughts for a bit. "My child to be..." She mused lightly with the thought. The thought of having a family. The thought of eventually giving birth... Those thoughts struck out to her, like fists of realization. She knew what she wanted. She knew where her heart steered her. But... How could she? Her duty. Her service... How could she? She sighed, looking upwards to the ceiling. More lost and confused then ever. She needed someone to seek guidance from... And in the end of this whole mess, two words rang through her head. She tried to realize why, but she couldn't understand. Those two words sunk into her like water into desert sand.

Wake up.

Anasarnia was being helped, more like carried, to the inn in Aldor Rise, to rest they told her... If there's anything Anasarnia disliked, it was resting in idleness. She more then once tried to get up and leave, but her weak protest simply ended in her nearly stumbling and falling down. It hurt to stand, and anything more then short breathes caused her to cringe in heavy waves of agony. Eventually, she was laid on the bed with a stern gaze from the doctor. "You need to stay here. Just ask if you need something." He went outside with light clops, leaving Anasarnia alone in the room. She laid there for a while, thoughts coursing through her head. She didn't really have any hobbies... Most of her time she trained, and fought. So what was she suppose to do with this injury hindering her down? Anasarnia found a blank red book, an empty journal. She was given a pencil. And began writing down.

So... This is a diary. What do I do with it? I write in it? Why not do that in my head? Well probably because my memory's shot to Fel... When I'm lying down on this bed, I can't help but let my mind wander... It helps against the pain. And a specific thought occured to me. I remembered that girl... Talesta was it? She was bitter... Almost a shell... It's amazing how similar to a Krokul she was... The thought scares me. What if I can't fight anymore? Will I become like her? I don't want that... No, I can't. I won't. I will not give in to the temptation... I will hold strong. I must... For my people... For myself... For everything I believe in.

Anasarnia's writing was interrupted by a male voice, speaking in a polite tone. "Excuse me, I know it is by a long shot but... Is there a chance you have seen someone?" Anasarnia turned her head towards the voice lightly, and before her stood a male Draenei. He was dressed casually, but with a tabard of the Aldor. On his back was a greatsword, which seemed donned with pride. He had a tall, athletic frame, and a calm face. A soft smile was plastered on his lips, making Anasarnia curious for a few moments. He had a small beard and moustach, and he generally seemed like a tidy person. "No brother, I -" Anasarnia began talking, only to be cut off in a heavy spasm of pain, gritting her teeth as sweat beaded her body in defiance to her pain. The male's expression was rather quick to change to one of worry, as he went over to Anasarnia. His eyes stared down upon her calmly with concern. "Are you okay, sister?" He asked with concern. Anasarnia forced a light smile and chuckle, and at least that didn't hurt. "Y-yes brother... Just a bit of post surgery pain... Nothing more..."

The man frowned lightly, concern noticeable on his face. "Well, I have some time before my shift... Would you care for anything? Some food, maybe some water?" Anasarnia shook her head as an answer. "I would like some company, if that is alright... I've been here for quite a while, and I guess I'm kind of lonely..." Anasarnia muttered. "So, I think your name would be appropriate?" She chuckled lightly to the man. The man in return nodded. "Of course, where are my manners..." He cleared his throat lightly. "I am Varkuur, sister... And you?" He asked in return. Anasarnia looked to him lightly. "Vindicator Anasarnia... A pleasure to meet you, Varkur." She nodded to him. The man, now identified as Varkuur quickly stood up and took an honorary bow. "A Vindicator? It is an honor meeting you!" He added politely. Anasarnia felt her cheeks warm up, and slowly darken lightly. She was not use to being so... Well, honored. "There is no need for that, Varkuur... I'm nothing special..." She tried to smile modestly, twiddling with her fingers lightly.

"Nonesense," Varkuur spoke once more. "Every Vindicator is a special thing..." He frowned lightly. Anasarnia felt her blush darken lightly. "Well I mean... I uhm..." She tried her best to counter it with any modesty she could find. "Without the Vindicators, I doubt most of us would be here." Varkuur added. Anasarnia muttered nervously, she wasn't used to being praised, nor did she wanted to. "Well, I guess..." She added cautiously. "Anyways," Varkuur continued. "What caused your injury?" He asked. Anasarnia frowned lightly, trying to remember... But nothing came to her. "I don't remember... All I remember was having a terrible nightmare, and waking up in the Aldor Rise clinic... They told me my skull was shattered, and I was lucky to survive." She added. Varkuur nodded in concern. "I see... Hmm... Very mysterious... Well, at least you hopefully seem to get better." He smiled lightly, which made Anasarnia feel a bit... Strange. "Light if I know... I am just glad that we are alive..." She added a bit in a tiered voice. "We, sister?" Varkuur asked with a raised eyebrow. Anasarnia shook her head lightly, she felt utterly confused. "I meant I... But I guess that can apply for our whole race..." She forced a chuckle, to hide the pain.

Varkuur rubbed his chin, inspecting the Draenei closely for several moments. "Well... I've heard of similar thing in the battlefield and after it as well. It seems like you've taken a pretty good hit against the head. Hopefully one, that will heal soon." nasarnia nodded lightly, leaning gently against the pillow. "I see... So... Why are you staying with me exactly?"
Anasarnia meant nothing bad in that sentence... She was just intrigued. Varkuur decided to stay, and she knew she wasn't the most fun person to talk to. Varkuur blinked. "Well, you said you wanted some company..." The question seemed to have caught him by surprise. He was kind of cute when he was surprised, Anasarnia thought to herself. Anasarnia looked to him lightly, eyes half open. "That doesn't mean you have to comply." Exhaustion slowly creeping up on her.

Varkuur laughed quietly and crossed his arms before the chest. "Well... I could never deny a wish from a wounded lady. That should be the reason why I'm staying." Anasarnia swore she could felt herself blushing lightly at his comment, but she couldn't tell. She looked to him calmy. "So, is this an attempt at a romantic impression? Or are you just being a straight down gentlemen?" She didn't regard any part with anger, nor with a negative response. She wouldn't mind even if it was the first part. He was a handsome man, and he seemed to have a personality to strike with Anasarnia. "Just being friendly, Anasarnia. No intentions behind it. I would never use such tricks to approach a woman in a romantic way. Cowards would do that." He chuckled lightly. The two engaged a light conversation of battle tactics and the like, eventually, Varkuur spoke once more. He looked towards the exit. "Though I'm afraid that duty come for me some time soon. Did someone mention for how long you'll be staying here?"

Anasarnia shook her head. "No, I have been told that is under examination..." Varkuur nodded and smiled. "Well then, if you have nothing against it, Anasarnia... I will try to visit you as often as I'm cappable. Maybe... I'll bring you some stuff over. Some things that help you to waste some time." Anasarnia blushed lightly, her arm grabbed by her lightly in a tad of embarrassed plight. "I see no reason why not to... I can't say I wouldn't enjoy the company." She spoke lightly. Varkuur nodded. "What should I bring you though? Do you enjoy reading, drawing or something like that?" Anasarnia pondered a few moments before speaking. "I never quite gave it some thought... Never really had a hobby." Varkuur simply nodded slightly. "Hmm... then I'll bring both some books and a sketchbook. Just a bit to keep you distracted." He smiled lightly. Anasarnia chuckled; She felt like a child. She held up the simple red book. "I have my journal." Varkuur nodded. "Well, but you're not writing into it all the time, right? And maybe... you want to have a small choice from time to time whatver you should do now." He walks around the bed and stands in front of it after some moments.

Anasarnia looked to the journal and shrugged lightly, a light frown emerging to her expression. "I'm not used to being idle like this..." She muttered lightly. Varkuur simply offered another one of his charming smiles. "But there's no helping it was well, right? So why not use the time you're given right now and find out a bit more about your private side. Explore if you might find things that you tend to enjoy even in the future." Anasarnia nodded lightly, laying back and gently laying her head on the pillow. Though she cringed violantly and snarled lightly in pain. "I need to sleep on this... Thank you for keeping me company, Varkuur... I appreciate it..." She muttered weakly. Varkuur simply nodded and smiled, heading outside quietly. Anasarnia's mind drifted, and soon enough, she fell asleep. In her dreams, she always wandered back to the same subject.

She wandered to Varkuur.

The small little Draenei Death Knight, Kazuru, while Ana lays in bed at the hospital.

Spoiler:
3 AM on a park bench outside of the Shattrath infirmary. Kazuru sits watching people go in and out of the infirmary most likely to visit Ana. The small little Draenei Death Knight had been sitting there for a few days now only getting up to make an occasional walk around Shattrath only to come back to the bench and sit. Once the last visitor left the building Kazu opens up her diary and begins to write.

Dear diary...
It's the second day here on the bench outside the infirmary... I really wanna go inside but... What if she hates me? I didn't mean to kick her that hard.... It was just a spar damn it! Why can't I do anything right?! D: I heard doctors saying that she had some memory loss on the way out.... Should I tell her what I did?... I mean... We might be able to be friends still if I don't tell her... But then again... I wouldn't be a very good friend if I was to hide things from her now would I?... I'm just glad she's not dead... Her skull broke so easily, but I guess my mechanical leg didn't help.... It was so weird though. When I came for back her her skull was healed. Don't get me wrong. It was still pretty beat up but... Still... And on top of that I found a little note that said "My name is Ian. Mail me if you get the chance"... Very odd... I took the note with me.... Maybe I should mail him.... First though. I need to apologize to Ana.

Kazuru looks around and heads outside the gates of Shattrath. After killing two giant spiders and three wolves, she picked flower for Ana. She wasn't sure what kind of flowers she liked so she got as many different flowers she could find... She probably even got a few weeds in the mix too.... After getting a vase to put them in, Kazu went back to the infirmary. She stood outside for a second thinking if anyone was in there. If Ana was awake. The 'if's went on and on. She put the vase down for a sec so she could put her metal mask on and brush her hair over her eyes. If anyone asked, the echo was coming from her hollow mask, and her eyes wouldn't show any abnormal glow. Kazu picked up the vase and went inside.

She peered around the room and saw only one female Draenei doctor and Ana, who was asleep. Kazu walks over to her bed before the doctor looks over to her and says in a low voice "I'm sorry. She's sleeping right now. Prehapes you can come back another time?". Kazuru shakes her head "No. It's okay. I don't need to talk. I just wanted to give these to her was all." She hands the vase of flowers/weeds/grass/herbs/etc to the doctor. She looks down at the pathetic assortment of flowers before looking back up at her and smiling "That's very nice of you. And by what name should I tell her the flowers came from?". Kazu looks over at Ana and back to the doctor "Tell her they're from Kazuru... Also tell her I'm sorry and that I hope she gets well soon...". The doctor raises and eyebrow at Kazu as she starts to walk away "Sorry about what?". Kazu doesn't bother to look back and says "Just tell her I'm sorry, please..." Kazuru leaves the building and walks back to her bench where she continues to sit until the sun rises again.

Anasarnia woke up with a light groan, her eyes gently opening. Above her stood a female. A priestess, by the look of her robes. She held a vase with a pathetic assortment of flowers, gently setting it besides Anasarnia as she spoke with a sickeningly sweet tone. Babying Anasarnia. "Good morning deary! Rise and shine! The moths are chirping!" She didn't make any sense in that last part. Anasarnia heaved a slight groan as she sat upright lightly. "What are those..." The Vindicator asked slowly. "Those are some flowers that a deary little Draenei brought to you! She said her name was... Kazuru, I think. She also told me to tell you she was sorry." The nurse stretched a smile on her face. Anasarnia frowned lightly, biting her lower lip in thought. "Kazuru... Why would she apologize for anything?" Anasarnia raised an eyebrow. The nurse simply shrugged, walking away with light clops and a perked bosom.

Anasarnia sighed quietly, opening her journal and beginning to write down quietly.

Agh... My head still hurts, and so does my body. What the Fel could have done such damage to me? I can't say for sure, but this hurt... When I slept, I couldn't but help to think of what I heard... My child to be... I'm not pregnant. How could I be? The thought of having a child... Terrifies me. I've fought things four times my size, with thousands of claws and putrid wounds... But nothing EVER scared me like that thought... The thought of having to hang up my sword, and my shield. To just... Take care of a child... It's funny.

Anasarnia's musing were quickly cut short at the sound of heavy hooves against the floor. Approaching her, came a large... No, massive Draenei. Rippling muscles seen through the black suit he wore, and a smirk was plastered on his face. He spoke in a surprisingly normal tone, rather then the bellowing Anasarnia expected. In his hands, he held a large bouquet of flowers, and in the other, a box of chocolates. "Oh, there you are." He spoke out. "Good, I arrived in time. Would hate to have arrived here and find they already held your funeral." He let out a heart filled chuckle. Anasarnia muttered to herself, writing down in her simple red book. She scribbled some words around it, looking generally tierd. She turned her head back to the huge Draenei, slowly squinting her eyes in confusion. "Excuse me, brother... Have we met?" The large man chuckled. "Of course we did, Anasarnia. Last meeting of the Pilgrimage. You wanted to arm-wrestle, remember?" Anasarnia mumbled, trying her best to remember... She remembered singing... And cake... But not much more.

Anasarnia stifled a groan, trying her best to remember, clearly unsuccessful. The large man smirked. "I won the arm-wrestle, then you asked if we could marry..." He grinned to Anasarnia, which in return blushed heavily, paling. "I d-did?" She panicked lightly. She couldn't remember a thing. The large man laughd and placed a bouquet of flowers by her side. "I joke. I came as soon as I heard you were hurt. How do you feel, Anasarnia?" Anasarnia chuckled lightly, the blush slowly leaving. "You scared the hell out of me..." She frowned lightly. "Who told you I was hurt? And I feel like shit..." She muttered crudely. She eventually rested her eyes on the bouquet. "F-for me?" She blurted out all these responses and questions, the blush resuming lightly in her cheeks. "I have eyes, sister. Once word came at the tavern that a comely vindicator of ours had been grievously wounded, I knew right away who it was. And of course, only if you want of course." He responded in the end for the flowers. He then took the box of chocolates from his pocket. He sat down on the corner of the bed, taking one chocolate and offers the rest to Anasarnia. "Here. Those will make you feel better."

Anasarnia looked to the boquet, rubbing her arm in a slight plight of embaressment. "That's sweet... Thank you..." She chuckled lightly. "Ch-" Her speaking was cut by a violant spasm of pain, her teeth gritten and her fists clenching. She spat out a few curses. "Oh my... I won't bother you asking details, but do rest a bit. Would you like me to leave so you can sleep?" The large man spoke calmly. Anasarnia panted lightly, sweat dripping from her forehead. She shook her head. "N-no, it's fine... My head just feels like it's going to explode..." She muttered out. She shakes her head. "No sugar... A kind thought though... Thank you." She added, a faint smile growing at her lips. The man, amazingly I would add, turned the box into his mouth, somehow managing to eat all the chocolates. He chewed and smiled. "You're welcome, Anasarnia. Still in pain? Shouldn't I call the nurse to check on you? I doubt my gift with the Light would be of any help.".

Anasarnia shook her head. "No no, there is no need for that... Just some post surgery pains..." She frowned lightly. "How is the Pilgrimage?" She asks. At least she could remember some of that... The group that left to Telredor... With that nice Draenei that hugged her... What was her name... Anasarnia struggled to remember. "I'm not sure, but from informations I have heard, they have safely settled on Zangarmash for now." The man responded lightly. "G-good... And you?" Anasarnia quickly added, not to offend the man. "Me? Oh, I'm fine enough dear. Had a day singing at World's End, still in my suit. I'm healthy, as far as I'm concerned. More than you at least. I have to admit, for someone that just had a surgery, you still look as graceful as always." He commented. Anasarnia felt her cheeks darken at the compliment as she tried to change the subject quickly. "I got lucky. They told me I was on the verge of death..." The man simply smirked. "Hah! What doesn't kill us makes us better, Ana. You will be back on your hooves soon enough, and once you do, you can come see me sing. Mayhaps... I might have prepared a song or two for you. You deserve it, after almost dying." He added a short chuckle. Anasarnia straightened her lips, fighting teeth and nail for modesty. "No no, that won't be needed..." She paused for a few moments, her hand clenching on her arm. "I... I might not be back to my hooves any time soon."

"Well, then you won't mind if I visit you, do you? I've been in bed like this before, boredom would have killed me easily than my wounds would." He added with another faint smirk. Anasarnia chuckled lightly, her hand removing from her arm. "I would like that. I already have another visitor, but I don't think that's a problem... Company would do me no harm." Anasarnia felt... Popular. She's never had two people coming constantly to visit on her when injured. It felt good for a change. "I do hope it's not your boyfriend. Not being humble here, a number of angry men chased me because I'm a bit too polite... Ignorant buffons, don't know how to treat a lady. Would you like me to bring something? A book, something to entertain yourself?" The tall man asked, a faint smile on his lips. Anasarnia shook her head, a light smile creeping to her lips. "No, no... I don't need any of that sort... And no, he isn't my uhm... Boyfriend was it?" She seemed to have trouble pernouncing that word. "Boyfriend, possible mate, crush. Many words, Ana. Why, I'm surprised, thought someone like you would have at least four or five men knocking desperately at your room's door." The tall man flirted lightly.

Anasarnia twiddled with her thumbs nervously. "N-no not really... As of recent, I never really had romance in my life, nor did I wish for it... I was... Content, I guess." She shrugged lightly, brow furrowing in thought.
"Content? Well, a Vindicator must hav eother duties to attend, truly, but everyone needs love, dear Ana. Should not forget that. But everything comes in time too... Probably why I don't have a mate either, ha!" The tall man added with a smile. He laughed, offering a comfort pat on Anasarnia's hoof. Anasarnia held light confusion at the touch as she spoke. "I guess, but... I just havn't really thought of it to depth... I've had a nightmare before I woke up from my surgery, and it kind of got me to think things over..." Anasarnia frowned lightly. Suddenly, the tall man asked. "A nightmare? Would you like to talk about it?" The request surprised her... She wasn't used to sharing her troubles, but she felt she needed to get this off of her chest. Anasarnia pouted lightly, heaving a sigh. She slumped back against the large pillow and crossed her arms lightly. "There was some creature... And it started mauling me... I felt every part of my body torn apart..."

The man didn't seem far too moved. "I see you have all your parts well and fine, so nothing to worry about. Might be some exhageration of your mind, you see. You almost died, probably for a monster, your mind might have filled your head with what could have happened if you didn't survive, you see?" He smiled lightly. Anasarnia nodded lightly. She hesitated a few moments. "There was something else..." She muttered weakly. She could feel herself fighting back a bit of tears, and she wasn't sure why. They weren't tears of sorrow... But of joy. "You don't have to talk about it, if you don't want, Ana. Do tell me if you have a need to do so, alright?" The man added, offering a comforting smile. Anasarnia frowned lightly, nodding and continuing. "Alright... I heard something... Like a voice... It told me to fight... For my race... For my heart... And uhm... M-my child to be..." She muttered the last part out, twiddling with her fingers. The man's eyes widened a bit. "Maybe the Naaru... Oh my, I did not know you were with child. Are you?" He asked curiously. Anasarnia shakes her head almost fanatically. "No! No! I'm... I'm not!" She panicked lightly. "I just... I don't know what it means... I thought you might have a clue." The thought continued to terrify her.

"Mmm... The ways of the Light are hard to understand at times. Perhaps it's a prediction from what is to come. You will find a mate and have a child with it... Oh my, an occasion to celebrate! Where are the drummers when we need them?" The man chuckled. "Might be tomorrow, might be in ten years, but still, might be a prediction." He added. Anasarnia paled noticeably, her eyes widening. "A c-child?! I can't bear a child! What about my duty?! As a vindicator?!" She blurted out in her panicked state.
"Oh do calm down, Ana. You are not the only Vindicator, besides, you know how our race is after our losses. A new child is a much blessed gift." He added. The man calmed Anasarnia down, gently assuring her. Eventually, Anasarnia drifted to sleep as the man departed with heavy steps. And in that state, she could only think about one thing...

She never got his name.

Anasarnia slept lightly. Her dreams hounded by endless questions. She saw herself standing between two things. To her right, her equipment. Her sword, and her shield gleaming in a glorious beam to her, like a warm summer day. To her left, was a simply door... The door had something inscribed on it, but she couldn't quite seem to be able to read it. But whatever lay behind that door, Anasarnia knew that it was important. She stood there, feeling torn between two worlds. She looked left, then right. She repeated the motion a couple of times, her head feeling like it was spinning. Anasarnia suddenly felt a firm grip on her shoulder, as a large hand placed itself on her. She saw her father standing besides her, always holding that warm smile of his. "My child... There comes a time in your life, where you must decide where do you go." He spoke softly, his deep voice soothing. "But father... What if I make the wrong choice? What if I fail?" Anasarnia looked up to the large man. She felt scared, for the first time in a long time. She felt genuinely scared.

"If you fail, then it shall happen... But you are better off trying, then spending the rest of your life in the shadow of doubt." He chuckled lightly. "Do you remember the first time you tried to use a sword, Anasarnia?" He asked. Anasarnia nodded, a faint smile rising to her lips. "I was terrible at it... I always asked why I couldn't just use a hammer... And you always told me," They spoke together. "Because nothing symbols righteousness more then the blade." Anasarnia sighed lightly, a chuckle arising after. She leaned against her father with eyes half closed. "Why do I have to decide now? Can't I just... Take both?" She asked. Her father raised an eyebrow lightly. "A strange question... Why did you think your mother stopped fighting when you were born?" He spoke gently. Anasarnia pouted lightly. "But I'm not mated! I'm not pregnant! Why does everyone keep saying that?!" She almost yelled. Her father simply replied with a light chuckle and ruffling of her hair. "Perhaps... Perhaps you will be some day." He smiled down to her. Anasarnia hugged him tightly, burying her face in his chest. She muttered weakly. "Father... I'm scared..." And for the first time in quite a long while, she had someone to share that with. Her father seemed to speak a reply, but suddenly, Anasarnia awoke to the sound of hooves clattering against stone.

Before her came a man, donned in the armor of a Vindicator. His face seemed constant with a light frown, and he was clearly a strong man. He looked down to Anasarnia with concern. Anasarnia didn't quite pay attention as they began conversing. Eventually she found out the mans name is Taan, a former Vindicator. Anasarnia in that time tried to hide the flowers and the chocolates brought to her by the tall Draenei. Suddenly, Anasarnia heard an echoing voice. Doubled. "Hello, is Anasarnia here?" Both her head, and Taan's turned to the direction of the voice. And soon enough, a female Draenei, dressed in a robe who's upper part was blue, yet the part that covers her legs was pink. She had her hair neatly wrapped up in a pony tail, and her hands were covered by metal gauntlets. She spoke in a doubled voice... A Death Knight. "H-hello, Anasarnia... How are you?" She spoke hesitantly. Anasarnia looked to the Death Knight rather blankly. "Uhm... Have we met?" She asked slowly. The Death Knight nodded once. "It's me... Kazuru?" She asked. Anasarnia frowned lightly in thought, and slowly the image came to her. "Right, right... We met in the... That human city. Right?" She asked back.

Kazuru nodded once. Anasarnia spoke once more. "The nurse said you were sorry... Sorry for what?" Anasarnia looked at her questioningly. Kazuru looked at Anasarnia nervously. "We were have a spar outside and um..." She paused. Anasarnia nodded to her to continue. Kazuru scratches her left arm slightly. She taps on her head "That..." Anasarnia sat there, taking a bit to process this. She was not a happy Draenei. She stared to Kazuru for a few moments before scowling heavily. "You did that?!" Her teeth grit lightly. Kazuru frowned and closed her eyes at her yelling. She nodded quickly in response not opening her eyes to look at any of the stares. Anasarnia groaned annoyidly. She slumped her head back and crossed her arms frowning. Looking like an annoyed, large, muscular child. "Great! Just great! How did you do that?!" She sure felt like one. "I um... Threw a kick at your head and um... It... did more damage then I thought... -I sware I didn't mean to!" Kazuru pressed. Anasarnia frankly didn't care for her reasons, she was far too angry. Anasarnia growled lowly, her fists clenching. "I'm stuck in bed! I can't ev-" She was cut off by a heavy violant spasm, her teeth gritting and her eyes clenching shut as she groans lightly. Pain once more washed over her. Taan frowned heavily, furrowing his brows, as he turned back to Anasarnia. "Calm yourself, please." Anasarnia didn't want to be calm. She was stuck, out of duty, and it was all Kazuru's fault! Or at least so she felt.

Kazuru frowned at her. She looked back down at the foot of the bed. Anasarnia grumbled, panting lightly, her teeth still grit. "And now, I might not even be able to fight!" She added lastly before slumping back against the pillow in clear frustration. She didn't care for what they had to say to her. She turned to lay on her side, turning her back to them both. "Get out." She growled lightly. By the sound of clattering hooves, she thought they left. She heard them both talking outside. Taan sounded very angry, and Kazuru sorry. She heard one sentence that clung to her mind like a claw into flesh. "Your absent-mindedness has cost a friend dearly." She heard Taan speak that sentence. Soon after, she kept her eyes shut, but sleep refused to come. She was too angry. Anasarnia eventually opened her eyes to see a disturbing sight. The world around her seems to have blackened out lightly, and to the bed near her, laid that Draenei from the infirmary... She couldn't remember her name. Her robes were torn and bloodied, and her leg was in a cast.

Anasarnia frowned lightly, getting on her hooves to approach the other Draenei... Only to stumble back, flailing her arms like a drunken monkey as she fell on her rear back to the bed with an annoyed groan. "What happened?" She frowns heavily in concern. Anasarnia rubbed her eyes angrily. She looked to Taan. "You said they were fine!" She recalled asking him earlier of the pilgrimage. Anasarnia didn't even bother to hear the response. This was her fault. She should have been there. She had failed her task. Anasarnia groaned burying her head in her hands. "Agh... I should have been there... Why did I leave..." She felt tears rising to her eyes. "That's enough!" The Draenei near the injured one called out. Anasarnia suddenly snapped at the other Draenei, a heavy scowl on her face. "No, it's exactly -not- enough... I failed my task. The -one- thing I should never fail at... I let one of our own get hurt. I should have broken my leg. I should have been there!" Anasarnia turned around back to laying down, burying her face in the pillow just as tears began streaming down her cheeks. She cried herself to sleep that day. A sentence ringing in her head, giving her violent nightmares.

You weren't there.

Anasarnia stood proudly. Her posture straight, and her legs firmly planted upon the ground. Before her, lay hundreds of demons... No, thousands! Her hand clenched on her blade as she stood there, a beacon of light in the swarm of darkness. She was in her prime. The demons sprang to her, but it was if they could not land a single blow. She dodged, blocked, and parried with amazing width. And soon enough, she struck. Her attacks picked clean through demonic flesh and muscle, and each hit simply improved. She was truly at he prime. But then, the image shifted quickly. She sat on a bed, with black silken sheets. Her stomach swollen considerably, and weighed her down. She looked to the fire with a soft smile, her hands gently tracing on her swollen stomach. She was pregnant. Anasarnia felt... Peaceful. Happy. She had life growing within her, and she couldn't be more excited... And yet, she was scared. She was scared of the whole experience. And suddenly, a strong male voice rang in a lightly joking tone. "Honey, I'm home!"

Anasarnia chuckled, her heart beat lightly faster. She felt a strong hand around her shoulder, but yet she would not turn her head... "And how is our life?" He chuckled, petting Anasarnia's swollen belly lightly. Anasarnia blushed lightly, smiling. "Perfect..." She chuckles. Suddenly, the image jerked. Anasarnia awoke from her sleep, her mind throbbing with a heavy pain, and there was someone near her. She spun instinctively, drawing a rather large knife she hid under her pillow, stopping a mere inch before carving into the large Draenei's face. The same one who had brought her flowers and chocolates. He didn't seem moved. Anasarnia panted heavily, sweat beading on her body as she dropped the knife on the mattress gently. "Had a bad dream?" He asked with a faint smirk. Anasarnia blushed lightly, twiddling her thumbs. "Nothing interesting... Say, I never got your name." She mentioned. "Why, I thought you remembered it. Dimitri, at your service, dear Ana. How are your wounds? Still hurting much?" He kept at his smirking. Anasarnia nodded lightly. "Sleep is difficult to achieve... And when I -do- get sleep, it's either one of two things..." She frowned lightly. "Mmm... I could try and find you some herbs to help you sleep. I believe there are some for sale in the local market... Or I could find a way to make you tired so you could sleep. My conversations might suffice" He laughed heartily.

Anasarnia chuckled lightly. "There is no need for that, Dimitri... Once more, thank you... Your chocolates almost got me into big trouble you know." She smiles lightly. "People start thinking I have two suitors..." Dimitri raised a brow and made his most innocent face. "But I ate them all, I thought I left no traces... Besides, suitor? My, how interesting.". He grins once more and watches Anasarnia. "I don't see what great interest a Vindicator would have in a singer." He grinned to her. Anasarnia paled lightly as a blush creeped to her cheeks. "Well uhm... I... Uhm..." She stuttered nervously. She tried her best to find an answer to that statement, but nothing came to her. Dimitri laughed and gently pated her back. "Don't be nervous, Ana. Say, what do you think of a walk outside? Some fresh air would do good to your body. I don't mind carrying you. They might have a wheelchair here somewhere too, if you prefer." The thought of fresh air was tempting. Anasarnia muttered lightly. "I don't know... They told me to stay in bed." Dimitri laughed. "Psh, who listens to nurses..." He smirked lightly to Anasarnia. The whole ordeal made her feel... Young. Another male voice spoke out, though Anasarnia couldn't quite find its source. "I would... And it would be wise to follow their word." He spoke out. It was a heavy, tiered voice. Dimitri grinned at the other male and then looks back at Anasarnia. "You heard the man. Better not follow the evil draenei here." Anasarnia stifled a giggle, and mumbled lightly, twiddling with her thumbs. "Well, I -guess- there can't be any harm as long as we can come back... And I don't think we should waste a wheel chair." The other male protested, and a short debate was held.

Eventually, Dimitri was the one to withdraw. Dimitri rubbed his hands together with a smile. "Okay. I'm carrying you, tell me if it hurts. Could you lift your knees please, Ana?" Anasarnia was quick to comply. She took a certain pride in her legs, often deeming them the most attractive part of her body. She was glad for a chance to show them off a bit, though she would deny ever thinking that. Anasarnia heard the other male growl lowly. "If your actions hinder her recovering, brother..." He threatened. This was the final straw. Anasarnia would have no one rule over her fate but the Light, and will not threaten her friends. She frowned lightly, looking to where she thought the other voice is. "That's enough! I am eleven thousand years old, and I can take care of my self! I have pushed my body far beyond a lot of others, and I will know when to stop!" She crossed her arms dissaprovingly, legs still up. Dimitri grins and puts an arm under Ana's legs, supporting her with another around her back and holding her left shoulder. He lifts her as easily as a kid lifting a twig. Anasarnia felt... Safe. She felt like simply cuddling into his chest and sleeping there, much like a child. But that was only momentarily. The world around her spun, and soon enough she felt her gut wrench and wretch heavily. She clung to Dimitri heavily. "S-steady!" She called out, turning green.

Even as Dimitri was carrying her outside, he was stopped by the other male. Anasarnia saw him. He wore plate armor, but clearly his body was ravaged before. He continued his complaints and his rant, of all he lost. Anasarnia's pity soon took a turn to anger. She frowned lightly at Yaroslav. "Now you listen here! All of our race lost something. You want to act like... Like a little cry-baby b***h!" She was turning darker in anger. "Then be my guest!" The man made some idle threat, but Anasarnia chose to ignore it. Soon, Dimitri spoke once more. "You can be rather angry thing at times, Candy Cat." He grinned to her. Candy cat? Why would he choose such a nickname for her, she thought to herself. "Yes, I may... And how can anyone blame me? All of our race lost something dear to him, we -all- fought tooth and nail to survive... And there he is, saying he got it worst." She replied, not really in the mood to speak of the occasion. Dimitri nodded lightly in agreement. "True words, Ana. I'm surprised, for one of his age he sure is... Immature, at this." Anasarnia grumbled before she clung a bit to the large Draenei. "Steady!" She turned a bit green at the slightest tilt of her head. Soon enough, she was led to a hilltop overseeing the beautiful city of Shattarath... It's beacon glowing immensely, cutting through the dark skies. "Ah, there, a good view of the city. Do you like it here or should we move somewhere?" Dimitri spoke out. Anasarnia looked to the city with a faint smile slowly creeping to her lips. Though still a little green. "This is good..."

Dimitri laughs and holds her tightly. "I won't drop you... Or I may, but I can catch you again." Anasarnia frowned lightly to him. "You don't want me to bite your ankles." She chuckled lightly. Dimitri sat down and set Anasarnia by his lap, helping support her with an arm around her back. "There, steadier now?" Anasarnia nodded lightly, blush creeping to her cheeks as she gave out an embarrassed expression. "Well, did you have more dreams, Anasarnia? A kindengarden full of children this time, or was it about wide hips and candy cats?" The man chuckled. Anasarnia frowned lightly, twiddling her thumbs. "What are you talking about, exactly?" She was confused. Dimitri laughed, stroking his moustache gently. "Oh you were muttering those in your sleep. Candy cat, wide hips. I do not know how those four words ended up into the mind of a vindicator... Or is it because there's a little princess behind each of you armored darlings?" Anasarnia chuckled lightly. "Well, as for the cat... I have no clue... Wide hips? I have those..." She mutters. "And a little princess? I'm probably the brute kicking down the door and slaying the dragon." She smiled lightly. Suddenly, Dimitri left Anasarnia nigh speechless with a single sentence. "Who told you the brute kicking the door and the princess can't be the same?" He chuckled. A few moments of silence later, Dimitri offered a grin. "But that aside, you dream about your hips. Do you like them that much?" He chuckled teasingly.

Anasarnia looked to her hips, seeming like the question got to her. "I have generally strong legs. Once kicked off the jaw of a Succubus." She patted her left hip. Dimitri let out a whistle. "That's quite a feat for someone of your size. They are pretty, if you don't mind me saying." He grinned lightly. Anasarnia chuckled lightly, the comment shooting right over her head. "You should see my father..." She smiled dreamily. "He could make you seem small." Dimitri's eyes widened lightly. "For the Light... That's a feat, I give you that. Sometimes I wish I wasn't so tall." He added. Anasarnia knew what he meant. It seemed rather difficult to do certain things when you're larger. Anasarnia chuckled and raised an eyebrow. "Really? It's a benefit... I can see why though. I can't seem to get hugged by other females without their faces getting stuck in my chest." She missed the obviously stated point there. Dimitri simply looked to her rather blankly. "I would add a comment here but I know well your arms still work, and my tendrils are within your reach." He spoke with a light grin. Anasarnia frowned lightly in thought. "What's there t-." She just realized. "Oh." The rest of that day continued normally... Taan even came to visit. About half an hour later, Anasarnia was back in her bed, and Dimitri had to leave to work. She had a good day, she thought to herself.

Eventually, only she and Taan were left in the room. Anasarnia looked to Taan lightly. "Could you remind me... What are flowers brought for? As in, why bring someone flowers and chocolates?" She pursed her lips lightly. "kind of forgot." she spoke. Taan paused a moment, before giving her a nod. "Commonly a romantic gesture." And with that, the room fell into an shy silence. Anasarnia didn't speak much that day, besides a discussion with a girl called Aiya... She went to sleep, with the same thoughts still troubling her head.

A romantic gesture.

Anasarnia yawned heavily, stretching. She reached for her journal, cracking open the simple red book. It was amusing to think of. For the last week she had spent in bed, she was rather alone, except on several occasions. And frankly, the lonliness got to her. She began writing these silly romantic, sometimes even mature, stories in her journal. Some of people she knows, and some of none. One of her favorites was about some girl she saw entering the clinic... She wore, an interesting choice of clothes, to say the least. She didn't quite know her name though... The Draenei girl wore mechanical rabbit ears on her head, which only applied to her existing playful and teasing look. She wore a suit that only covered her top, allowing her hips to remain exposed at most times. She had these strange shoulder pads, and her legs were lightly armored. Anasarnia wrote a rather long story about her. "Way to go, Anasarnia..." She muttered in thought. "You stopped fighting, and now you're writing porn." She chuckled at herself and her silliness, setting the journal aside as she heard the clopping of hooves against stone.

The Draenei who entered was donned in the classical Vindicator armor, and the hammer as well. Behind him, went around a Dwarf who ranted about something, though Anasarnia couldn't quite figure out what. The Vindicator asked her how she was, and the conversation was rather generic. Suddenly, the most foul smell hit Anasrnia's nose. It was like a thousand rotting Orc-corpses covered in urine and burnt with stench. Her nose felt like it was going to bleed. The Dwarf had officially taken off his boots. "Li-Light bless what is that smell?!" Anasarnia cried out in common. "Oh by the Light, get this monster out of here!" The Vindicator yelled in common, the smell stinging his nose aswell. The Dwarf seemed to be enjoying his bed. Suddenly, the male Vindicator called out "Dwarf!" The Dwarf looked to the male Vindicator, asking calmly. "Aye?" He asked rather cleanly. The Vindicator frowned down upon him. "May I politelly ask you to retire? Or at last cut your feets off and throw them out of here?" This sentence enraged Anasarnia. Dwarves were one of her favorite races from Azeroth, and he was treating one awefully. Anasarnia frowned lightly. She barked out. Her soft tone suddenly hardened like a stone, and it would atleast have an attempt to have threat in it. Remember, Anasarnia's muscular, and rather fearsome when she gets angry. "Brother!" She yelled at the Vindicator.

The Dwarf opened his mouth, wordless. "Whot? I jus' got 'ere from tha' feckin' marshes! Firs' bed in decades!" He frowned angrily. "Ya' got some guts talking like tha', ya' queer..." He grumbled. The Vindicator looked to Anasarnia in confusion. Anasarnia gagged a little. "He can simply -wash- his feet. The Dwarves are great allies, and we will not treat them like those foul Orcs! Do you understand me?!" She yelled at him angrily. He tried to argue, but Anasarnia simply yelled at him to leave. Eventually, the Vindicator left defeated, leaving Anasarnia in a mood most foul. She crossed her arms, just as the Dwarf came back from washing himself, looking about as angry as she was. Anasarnia looked to the Dwarf and sighed heavily. "I wish to apologize for him..." She spoke. The Dwarf crawled into the bed and quickly got comfortable. "Jeez.. Clouds.. Jus' like 'em.." He turned to face the female. "Eh.. Nothin' ta worreh 'bout. Probableh took a likin' to ya 'er somethin', made ya' feel comfeh and all tha' crap." He grumbled. Anasarnia frowned lightly. She looked to the large bouquette of flowers to her left. "Another one?" She muttered in a light whisper. "What is your name, Dwarf?" She asked. The Dwarf raised a brow, one of his eyes moving to look at the draenei. "Broxas Coldbeard." He nodded to her.

Anasarnia nodded to him. "Anasarnia... Welcome to our fair city." They slowly engaged in a long conversation, of fighting in the marshes of Zangramarsh, then to Dwarven made armor... It was happy conversation, free of care. Anasarnia loved the Dwarve's attitude, always so light and free. Broxas laughed loudly. "Guess our women are a bit manleh, but das whot makes 'em tougher than a leather boot!" He smirked to Anasarnia. Anasarnia replied with a simple sentance. "You've never seen me in action then." She chuckles. Broxas moved his eyes up and down at the draenei. "I've seen yer men fight.. Theh swing their hammers like a buncha wimps compared to mah axe!" Anasarnia offered a stiffled giggle. Before reeling in, her teeth baring and her whole body tightening as she spassed violantly in pain. Broxas was completely caught by surprise. "Ya okeh, lad?!" He slowly moved towards the end of his bed. "Ya don' need aneh medical crap, do ya?" He asks with concern. Soon, the seizure of pain ended, Anasarnia's vision was blurry and her lungs hurt. Anasarnia groaned lightly, sweat beading her body as she panted heavily, sitting upright. "N-no... Just some... Post medical problems..." She frowned lightly. Broxas frowned. "Ya sure? I don' want ya to be faintin' on meh on mah behalf." Anasarnia rolled her shoulders, chuckling through gritted teeth. "J-just a little... Surgery... That's all... I've had worse..." She tried her best to act tough. Broxas shuddered. "Surgereh.. Won' evah get them needles in meh.. Don' got tha' balls.." His frown turned into a small chuckle. "Ya got more balls then meh!"

Anasarnia smiled lightly, a soft blush creeping to her cheeks. She wiped some sweat off her brow. "I hope not... Draenei still need to re-populate some how..." The Dwarf laughed heartidly. "Huh! No problem! Slip on some sexeh clothes an' yer done! They'll come swarmin' all ovah ya!" He grinned lightly. Anasarnia chuckles lightly. "I'm a Vindicator... I can't just go off and get with every male I see... Or female in some cases..." She reminded. Broxas raiseed a brow. "Well if ya get with a woman.. Ya can' make aneh babehs! An' whot's a vindicatah? A draeneh paladin?" He asked. "Yes, a Vindicator is the Paladin of my people... And I'm not talking of myself, but there are some." Anasarnia responded. The conversation continued, discussing of Dwarven women, and the fact Draenei women have their tentacles behind their ears. Eventually, he offered Anasarnia a swig of his homebrew ale, she took that offer happily. Now, it's worth mentioning, that it was the finest ale she's ever had. That was a great evening. The Dwarf had caused Anasarnia to laugh more then she had in a long time. Eventually, she fell asleep with a content smile, and a single voice echoing in her head.

She heard a child's laughter.

Anasarnia laid at her back, looking up from the comfortable bed. She held her journal close to her chest, feeling her heart beat gently. Even now, her mind was plagued with questions of her decision. She sighed gently, when suddenly she heard a voice speaking in song, each word going slightly higher in note. "Na na na na." Dimitri sang jokingly as he entered the inn, carrying a large box. He had a constant smile on his face, and his hooves clopped along the stone as he stopped near Anasarnia. Once more, he sang jokingly. "Nya-nya, Ana'." He smiled down to her. Anasarnia smiled to him, chuckling. "Dimitri." She greeted him. "How are you feeling?" He chuckled lightly, still holding the box under his arm. Anasarnia sat upright, leaning against the pillow. "Fine..." She paused a few moments before sighing gently. "Listen, Dimitri... We need to talk." She slumped gently against the pillow. Dimitri nodded, still smiling. "Before you do... I brought you something. I remember you lost yours, so I brought you a new one!" He handed her the gift box. Anasarnia looked down to the box shaking her head lightly. "You really shouldn't have, Dimitri..." She smiled in embarrassed state. Dimitri simply grinned to her. "Give me a reason why I shouldn't." He asked slyly. Anasarnia paused, muttering out, but no answer came. Eventually she just sighed. "Fine..." She smiled to him. "Thank you, Dimitri..." She sighed a bit happily. Dimitri urged her. "Go on, open it!" He spoke with a grin.

Anasarnia chuckled, opening the box. It was about as long as her leg, and seemed to be made out of wood. She gently popped the lid open, only to pale and go wide-eyed. Inside laid a beautiful golden sword, with blue ornaments and gems. It seemed to be two handed, but graceful and deadly. Anasarnia blushed, stuttering heavily. "I... Dimitri... T-this... This is beautiful... Thank you..." She stuttered in awe. Dimitri smirked. "I heard you lost yours, and I know you don't like being treated weakly so... I had a feeling you'd like this." He chuckled. Anasarnia kept at her shocked expression. "I love it but... I haven't lost my sword... Still, a beautiful thought Dimitri..." She laid back against the pillow. Dimitri still smiles, shooting off one of his compliments. Anasarnia twiddled her thumbs nervously afterwards, beginning to speak. "Listen, Dimitri... When it comes to romantics, I'm as thick as a brick... I don't know that world... But, the flowers... The chocolates... The gifts... Those are all romantic gestures and I guess..." She paused lightly. "I guess I'm kind of asking... Are you interested in me... That way?" She looked to Dimitri, her lips pursing. It felt like forever before he answered, and Anasarnia had never felt so anxious. Dimitri chuckled finally. "I wouldn't bring all those things in pursuit of romantic contact with you. The flowers were a mere demonstration of good will, and who doesn't like chocolate?" He smiles to her. Anasarnia felt devastated. She wasn't used to rejection, and this just embarrassed her further.

Suddenly, Dimitri added. "But, I would be lying if I said I didn't..." He smiled to her. "You are strong, smart, and beautiful... Both on the outside, and the inside." He smiled softly to her. Anasarnia blushed heavily. She didn't quite know what to say. In silence, she scooped to the left, patting the patch of bed to her right. Dimitri smiled, walking over and bonking his head on the bed-post before managing to squeeze besides Anasarnia. The Vindicator let out a sigh as she gently slid her hand to hold his. "Listen, Dimitri... You have to understand, this is a big choice for me... It's either this or... Or my life as a Vindicator..." She sighed looking to him. He just grinned to her. "Ha!" He smiled. "Ana', you're a strong woman... You can do both..." He gave her hand a gentle squeeze. Anasarnia's heart lightened slightly, she chuckled and smiled to him. "I guess... Still, if I were ever to bare child, I would abandon my duties for another..." She leaned against him softly. Dimitri grinned to her. "I'd like my mate to be someone as cute as you..." And with that final notice, to Anasarnia's surprise, he pulled her to a gentle kiss. Anasarnia blushed deeply, her eyes remaining opened for a few moments before closing in the moment of the kiss. She tugged his tendril gently, his lips meeting hers before finally breaking the kiss with a gentle smacking sound. She looked to him lightly, her cheeks flustered with a dark shade of purple as she twiddles nervously with her fingers. She leaned against the large man, holding his hand. Dimitri finally chuckled. "So, how are you recovering?" He asked. Anasarnia heaved a sigh and shook her head. "Poorly... I can sleep a bit more now, but I still get those waves of pain, and I still can't stand on my hooves..." She frowned lightly, still annoyed by her lack of activity. Dimitri offered a sly grin. "It's because you want another ride in my arms, isn't it?" He joked lightly to Anasarnia. She heft a chuckle, smiling. "No... Though it was fun." She added. Dimitri smiled to her, wrapping an arm around her back. "We could always go again." He chuckled. Anasarnia nodded in agreement. "Why not Nagrand? I could use the fresh air, and it's just a short walk away..."

And so, Dimitri nodded; picking up Anasarnia as easy as a twig, and just as balanced. She nuzzled gently, cuddling into his chest with affection as he walked with her in his arms, across the Aldor rise. Some quirky looks were exchanged to the view, though not all were bad. After a while, they entered the small pathway, leading into green beautiful planes... Dimitri carried Anasarnia underneath the shade of a large tree, sitting her down on his hip as she chuckled. He told her of his band, and the two women singing with him before speaking once more. "Would you like to come to one of my shows? I could get you a special seat... You could wear a dress. I'm sure you'd look beautiful." He smirked lightly. Anasarnia stiffled a giggle, blushing. "Ha..." She looked to him. Dimitri smiled down to her. "A gown would work wonders around those hips..." His hand suddenly gave Anasarnia's bum a pat. Anasarnia gave out a squeak and an embarrassed frown to him. "H-Hey!" She called out. Dimitri simply smirked 'innocently'. "It slipped!" He laughed lightly. Anasarnia frowned and leaned against him, though it didn't last long. He gently placed a finger on her chin, causing her to look at him. He smiled down to Anasarnia and spoke softly. "I love you, Ana'." He leaned forward and placed another persisting soft kiss on her lips. Anasarnia's tendrils gently lashed around his finger in instinct, returning the soft kiss happily. Eventually, the kiss was broken once more as Dimitri grinned lightly to her. "You act as if that was your first kiss." He smiled. Anasarnia blushed nervously and smiled. "S-second, actually..." She leaned against him. He laughed with a smile. "That's cute." He gives her cheek a light peck. And so, time slowly passed as Anasarnia gently fell asleep in his arms. Her slumber was calm for a change, filled with life.

But, in the end of it all, even if Dimitri wouldn't know... That kiss everything. That admission.

She chose.

Anasarnia was walking along a white field. Calm, serene. Everything was as it was... She held a light basket over her shoulder, filling it with the exotic and magnificent flowers of Draenor, who glow and shine. She smiled brightly, and felt as happy as she could be. Soon enough, she came back home. Her house was simple, small, yet well kept. She entered the simple house to find Dimitri sitting on a chair, reading across a book. She smiles to him, sneaking up behind him before hugging him. "Good morning." She whispers in his ear. Dimitri smiles and set down his book. He turned his head lightly, his tendril grabbing Anasarnia's as he chuckles. "Good morning, my love." He almost effortlessly swings her over, sitting her at his lap. She chuckled happily and wrapped her arms around him, planting a kiss on his forehead. "How did you sleep?" She asked calmly. Dimitri chuckled, caressing her cheek. "Just fine..." He leaned in for a playful kiss on her lips. Anasarnia chuckled, holding the kiss a bit more then intended. Anasarnia felt like a whole new woman. Confident, strong... Decisive. "And you, my love?" He asked with a light smirk in his eyes. There was something... New, in his eyes. Anasarnia chuckled and ignored it for the time being. "Just fine..." She leaned against him.

And so, Anasarnia watched out their window to see the sun setting slowly, as if time had jumped ahead. She sighed happily, contently leaning against Dimitri. Suddenly, the dream was taken as she was shaken lightly by Dimitri, back in Nagrand, and back in reality. "Wake up, Anny'." He teased lightly. Anasarnia nuzzled into Dimitri's side lightly, before giving him a powerful squeeze. "Five more minutes..." She muttered tiredly. Dimitri chuckled and giave her rump a gentle slap. "We've been sleeping for too long, Ana. Five more minutes...? I'm surprised you can sleep so much." He joked. Anasarnia yelped, eyes shooting wide as blush creeped to her cheeks. "Dimitri!" She protested. "What? Did a bug bite you?" He grinned lightly to her. Anasarnia rubbed her rump lightly, frowning. "I guess..." She smacked his head playfully. Dimitri chuckled at Anasarnia and leaned close to give her a kiss to the lips, still letting his hand rest on her rear. "Did you have good dreams, my love?" He seems to have thought she didn't notice it. Anasarnia chuckled lightly, returning a light pick on his lips. "Well, I've had better..." She lied and yawned, rubbing her eyes and nonchelantly moving his hand away from her rear. "How long have we been out here?" she asks curiously.

"Two days, I think... How we've slept so much, I have no idea." He looks down to her. Anasarnia paled lightly. "TWO DAYS?!" Panic creeping to her. "Yes, two. You're such a sleepy bear..." He grinned widely and let out a heart filled laughter. The Talbuk in the area continued to graze around calmly, seeing no threat in the pair. Anasarnia frowned. "Light... How can I sleep that much?" Dimitri simply smirked. "I don't know, must be some punishment for being so cute, I tell you." He chuckles. Suddenly, a wave of pain coursed through Anasarnia, like her bones were being hit against each other. She groaned lightly, rubbing her head as she shuddered lightly, curling into Dimitri. "Damnit..." She groaned. "What's wrong, Ana? Don't tell me you had any appointments for those days..." He looked down to Anasarnia in light concern. Anasarnia shook her head. "No it just hurts..." She grumbled. "Oh my... We must return to the infirmary then." Dimitri spoke. Anasarnia nodded lightly. "Yes, that would be a good idea..." She groaned, standing up... And falling over, face-first in the dirt. "Mpmhm." She mumbled in the dirt. Dimitri chuckled a bit and leaned over to grab Anasarnia on his arms, helping her stay close to his neck. "No. Doctor told you to not walk. You ain't walking, missy..."

Anasarnia didn't like being treated like a child... But with Dimitri, she had patience. And she knew he was right. Anasarnia grumbled, being hauled into another hold. She spat some grass and scraped her tongue. "Eeech..." She frowned. "Damnit." Dimitri shot some compliment to Anasarnia's rear, which as expected made her blush. Dimitri smiled kissing her head, heading to the road. They began slowly walking back to Shattarath through the beautiful green planes. Anasarnia chuckled lightly, planting a nuzzle on his chin. "I had a great time, Dimitri." She smiled happily. "Oh it is much well deserved... Me? I only have size, but friends comment I have a decent jaw. Oh, I did too, Ana, best sleep I had in centuries... Much better with someone like you by my side." He smiled. Anasarnia nodded lightly. "Well, you -do- have a masculine jaw." She chuckled. "Why, thank you, Ana. I wish I had more tendrils but I guess I cannot ask much when I already have so much meat around." Anasarnia nodded in agreement, tapping his chest. "Well, I can't say you're not a handsome man..." She pondered a bit. Dimitri smiled and kissed her forehead. "Why I hope so... I wouldn't want to be an ugly man in front of such a beauty, Ana.". He looked affectionately to her. Anasarnia smiled to him. "D'aaaw..." She chuckles, patting his cheek. "You sure know your way around words, I guess..."

Dimitri's cheeks went slightly darker as he kisses her hand. "Thanks. A man has no much use if he doesn't know how to properly compliment a lady." That was the first time she had ever caused Dimitri to blush. Anasarnia smiled affectionately. "I'm glad to be that lady." She spoke. "Oh and I'm glad to be the man that got into your pretty heart, Ana." He replied before leaning in for a passionate kiss against Anasarnia. Anasarnia mumbled muffledly in the kiss, eyes looking to both sides in a rather clueless expression. Eventually she closes them, holding the kiss. She felt her lips pressed against his, and she felt quite okay with it to say the least. Dimitri held the kiss for a long moment before parting his lips from hers, it soon spreading into a gentle grin. "See? I'm a very lucky man." He commented. Anasarnia felt like his lips were torn away, rather then just moved. Silently, the walk continued until they came along the uphill to lead back into Shattarath. Anasarnia didn't want to go... Not yet. Anasarnia sighed lightly, looking around. "Can't we just stay out for a bit more? I don't want to go back to bed yet." She pouted a bit playfully. "Of course we can. Well, shall we head back to the road...?" Dimitri asked. That question was rather simple. They were on a hill overlooking a crystal clear lake with a beautiful shining water-fall on the other end to them. Anasarnia shook her head. "Let's stay here a bit... Look at the view." She motioned to the beautiful scenery. imitri nods and sits down, placing Ana comfortably over his thighs while letting her back rest against his arm. A draenei couch.

Anasarnia was seated down, a simple and soft smile upon her face. It didn't take much to see that she was happy. "I wonder... I should make you pose here, and then have someone paint it... Would be a most beautiful picture." Dimitri broke the silence, overlooking the scenery. "Pose?" Anasarnia asked curiously. Dimitri grinned wide. "Semi-nude, maybe only a towel, with this scenery as background... Can't do it, or else I'd be spending all day staring." He looked to Anasarnia, who in turn blushed. "O-oh my." She mumbled nervously. The conversation turned to a light-heart'd discussion about an embarrassing play Dimitri took part of. Suddenly, Dimitri asked. "Were you always a Vindicator? Your entire life?" He looked to Anasarnia. "Most. I was raised like it, I guess..." She leaned against him. "And the incident with the Orcs didn't change a thing..." She replied, a light frown sneaking to her expression. "Oh, it was a sad thing indeed, but look bright, my dear Ana. A good future awaits for us." He spoke. Anasarnia sighed. "That was going to be my next question..." She looked up to him. "Do ask." He replied calmly. Anasarnia took his hand in both of her owns, looking up to him quietly. She spoke rather weakly. "Did you ever seriously consider the idea of having a mate?" She popped the question right out of her mind, struggling with each word.

Anasarnia would like to say that Dimitri took as long as she would... But he didn't. He quickly replied with such confidence... Such assurance of his words. He smiled down at Anasarnia. "Don't I already have a lovely one...?" He spoke affectionately. Anasarnia gasped lightly, shuddering a bit. "W-well, we're not mates..." She squeezed his hand gently. "But... That's what bothers me... Do we have time to wait for a decision like that?" Dimitri let out a gentle laugh. "Maybe we don't, but who knows what might happen next... But I don't want you to make a rushed decision either." Anasarnia frowned. "But I also don't want to be too slow..." She sighed. "It's just something on my mind..." She spoke lightly, trembling at each word. Once more, Dimitri replied confidently. "Oh, open yourself to me, Ana. You know I'm always here to listen." He smiled.
Anasarnia slowly spoke. "How long do you think we have?" She looked up to him, a bit sadly. "Before...?" He asked in curiosity. "Death." She said the word as a mundane thing... Something to be encountered every day. "Well, permission to let out a rude comment about how I think I will die?" He asked with a gentle frown. "Uhm... Go ahead?" Anasarnia spoke un-surely.

"In my death bed, at the venerable age of our Prophet, with a basket of fruits by a suit and a lovely lady making love with me." He grinned lightly. "I'm an optimistic, Ana. We survived so long, I doubt anything can ever kill us for good at this point." He concluded. Anasarnia frowned. "What if -I'll- die? Then what?" She had no idea why she asked such a silly question. Dimitri gently placed a hand at Ana's chin, making her look at his eyes. He gives his most charming smirk. "Of what good is a man if he can't protect the woman he loves and the child they made together...?" He asked slyly. Anasarnia blushed heavily, muttering nervously. She sweats lightly shaking while trying to speak, managing to blurt out the word but. Nothing more. She couldn't think. Breathing became a difficult task. She had never felt so small and meaningless in her life. "Ana, I will fight it it comes to sit. I will resist, be a wall holding whatever our enemies are back... And if they come from behind, I know you will be there to watch." He smiled. Anasarnia finally managed to speak, though it came out in a blurt. "But I'm not pregnant!" She insisted. Dimitri winked at Anasarnia and took her gently by her sides, letting her rest over his chest. "Not yet...". He's expected a slap to come out of that.

Instead, Anasarnia waited a few moments. She stayed there in utter quiet, with a totally blank gaze. And as if out of nowhere, it happened. Dimitri leaned close to give her forehead a kiss, then began kissing her cheek and finally her lips, stopping for a moment. "Would you bless me with accepting me as your mate, Anasarnia?" He asked. Anasarnia stopped breathing. Everything shut down. Panic crept in, as did confusion and fright. Anasarnia gently buried her face in his chest, whispering out in a light choked sob. The word wouldn't be understandable. Just the sound. She teared in confusion, and in fear. She had never been so afraid in her life. What would she do? What could she say? She thought, and thought. And as if a calm breeze upon a burning day, it came. The image of the house... Of her and Dimitri... Of the perfect, content feeling she had. Dimitri blinked in surprise, moving his hand to her shoulder. "Oh my... Did I say something wrong, Ana?" He asked concernedly. Anasarnia removed herself from his chest, smiling. Tears streaming down her eyes as she speaks chokingly. "Yes. I said yes." She plants a loving kiss on his lips.

The kiss seemed to have gone forever. And most of it afterwards, Anasarnia remembered only in a blur. She was carried back to the infirmary in the arms of her new mate, feeling at euphoria. She was laid down to sleep, given a good night kiss. The one thing that differed in this sleep, was a rather simple thing.

No nightmares came.

Help. Anasarnia suddenly woke up, her eyes shooting open as she wheezed for air, chest rising rapidly in her mad grab for oxygen as she finally exhaled the painful amount of air she had gathered in her lungs. Sweat beaded her body. She looked around the darkened inn, to see that she was alone. Her eyes squinted as she thought to herself in the calm silence. "Just a dream..." Were the words arising in her head when suddenly she heard two raspy voices speaking. "Hurry up..." One spoke in a tough burled manner, and the other replied sleekly "Don' worry mon'," A clear Troll accent. "We be alone 'ere... Besides da' one sleepin' chick..." He snorted mockingly. Anasarnia carefully tilted her head towards the counter, where she had seen two figures in the darkness tinkering with something in the wall. Anasarnia felt a surge in her. It's been weeks since she had a taste of action... She still couldn't get up though. She didn't care less. She sat upright, covering herself in her blanket at the nights chill as she suddenly spoke. Her accent was not as distinct, but still noted in her common. "What do you think you're doing?" She asked angrily. The two figures turned to her nervously. The Troll spoke, approaching her slowly. "Dis be a dream, mon'... Go back ta' sleep..." He spoke.

His attempts were met with a brutal and powerful fist, shattering his nose and tossing him back on the floor. Anasarnia hasn't lost her touch just yet. Quickly, the Orc grunted. "Get'er!" He called out in his brutish manner. The two charged at Anasarnia, but to no avail. She simply slumped forward, dodging the two. She aimed a quick kick, her hoof connecting with the Troll's skull, and sending him out cold. She stood up to her best capability, losing the blanket. Her whole muscled body showed as she growled to the Orc. "Just you and me." She cracked her knuckles. The Orc grunted, having a menacing physique of his own, as appropriate to his race. And soon enough, the fight begun. The Orc tossed his left fist forward, making a quick impact against Anasarnia's gut. She simply powered through, aiming a left hook to him. The Orc was in better state then her, dodging the blow as he quickly sent Anasarnia back with a tackle. The Draenei grunted, clenching her fists. Staying on her hooves was an immense task for her at the moment, and she constantly wobbled. The Orc must have caught on to her motions, because he swiftly moved and sent a harsh uppercut to her, sending her against the wall harshly. "Gettin' tiered?" He mocked.

Suddenly, his mocking was cut short by a devastating fist meeting his face, sending him spiraling backwards. "I just woke up." She resorted. Soon after, the guards came after the ruckus to arrest the two men. The rest remains a blur to Anasarnia.
She recalls waking up the next morning, to take a gryphon to Telredor to check up on the pilgrimage. Inside, she stumbled upon a game of truth or dare she would rather quite forget. Half-way through, she opened her diary and began writing to herself.

"What am I doing here? All this... All of this. There's Celes, Talesta, Nexi, Aiya, and me... They're giggling, and having fun... But what aren't I having fun? I always felt a bit distanced from most women, that's true but... But this was different. Fel, maybe it's just my medication that's acting up, or the lack of sleep... Then why do I feel sad? Why do I feel sorrow that I'll never get to share their experiences, and their thoughts? And that girl... Talesta. She has that gaze in her eyes... It's a broken gaze... I feel myself dying a bit whenever I see her face. What things had happened to her? Light, I don't know... I wish Dimitri was here. He could help. But, I guess he's not, so I'm on my own.

I'm not one of them. I never will be. I think that one Shaman, Nexi, saw it... She hugs everyone, and cares for all of us. Maybe she saw that tint in my eyes? I'm not sure anymore. I just feel... Lost, I guess. Where do I stand? I just feel...

Different."

And so, Anasarnia closed her journal with a tiered sigh. She had a light discussion with some scarred Draenei, whom she barely recalled. Soon afterwards, she fell asleep. Once more, her dreams were plagued and nightmarish. She kept hearing the same word in a haunting melody.

Different.

Anasarnia found herself acting idly in Telredor for some time. Most of the ice, and tension, was broken in a rather drunken celebration. Anasarnia had met the other women closer, and learnt some things about them. Some distant feelings still lingered, but they were mostly replaced with those of longing. It's been at least eight days since Anasarnia settled in Telredor with the rest, but Dimitri hasn't showed up yet and she was getting worried. And so, at the eve of Brewfest, Anasarnia was quick to drink for her troubles. She found herself drunkly lying down near a wall, slumped against it, and soon enough, she drifted to a quiet and troubled sleep. She worried greatly for her mate. And so, her night passed in the uncomfortable position. At morning, she heard a mumbled voice speaking something which she couldn't quite understand. Suddenly, she felt herself lifted by powerful arms and spoken to. "Good morning, my queen. Have you slept well?" A familiar male voice spoke. Anasarnia muttered a few times before smiling widely in joy, as did her eyes. "Dimitri!" She wrapped her hands around the large man, laughing happily. She had missed him greatly, and seeing her love once more assured her.

Dimitri hadn't changed one bit over that short time, nor was he injured or hurt in anyway. Still the huge man he is, and still with that sly smirk he donned to every meeting. His strong arms carried Anasarnia like she weighed nothing. Dimitri smiled widely, lowering to kiss the woman in the forehead. "No, you aren't dreaming. It's me. My, you had quite a night, hadn't you? I hope you haven't been doing dirty things out there." He grinned to Anasarnia. She simply blushed and smiled. "It's good to see you again..." Hoping to change the conversation subject. The two walked into the inn, a few looks turned to them and then back to their origin. Dimitri put Anasarnia in one of the beds, sitting by her side and putting a hand over her shoulder, caressing. "It's good to see you safe, my love. How are you doing?" He smiled lovingly to her. Anasarnia chuckled, smiling brightly. "Great! After so long in bed, it's good to be out of that inn..." She made herself comfortable against Dimitri. "Oh that's true... Are you thirsty, hungry? Want me to get you something, my love?" He asked. Anasarnia chuckled. "I've been fairly to take care of myself... Besides those drunk parties." She added with a stifled giggle. "What a bad girl... Didn't even invite me." Dimitri grinned to Anasarnia. Anasarnia chuckled. "You weren't here. Though you did arise about every time someone asked me to undress..." She muttered lightly, hoping she did not unnerve Dimitri.

Dimitri tilted his head slightly, one brow raising. "You were asked to undress? Why didn't I arrive earlier...?" He asked with a smile, not seeming moved at all. Anasarnia was glad he had such trust in her... It was a rare quality. Anasarnia smiled and shrugged. "I didn't..." Dimitri chuckled back to her. "Would you do if I asked?" He asked in his calm, sly manner. Anasarnia waited a few moments before a light frown tugged to her forehead. "That reminds me... I had a question." She disregarded the question entirely, as a whole new set of questions arose to her mind. She recalls a conversation with Nexarial, speaking of her plans with Dimitri. One of them was conceiving a child. Soon enough, Dimitri laughed, squeezing her shoulder in a playful and gentle way. "What is it, Ana?" He smiled to her. Anasarnia muttered lightly, looking around her. She bowed her head lightly and asked slowly, and carefully. "Did you ever think of bringing children?" She felt her cheeks darken lightly. Dimitri smiled and laid down, trying to lie Ana over his chest, since there's plenty of space in there. "I would lie if I said I did not, Ana. With you, of course. But I don't want to press you on it either." He smiled reassuringly to her.

A few moments passed before Anasarnia nodded slowly. "Care to go for a walk? Now that I actually -can-." She emphasized with a light laughter. Dimitri gave the woman a gentle walk and helps her up to her hooves, before standing up himself. "Why not? The marshes are always a good sight... Shame I won't be able to enjoy it. Better things to look at." He grins, laughing too. Anasarnia chuckled, seeming far more loosened to blush at his well placed compliment. "So, how have you been?" They began walking down towards Zangramarsh. "Healthy, my love. In pain from being away from you for so long." Dimitri smiled to her in his sly manner. Anasarnia chuckled. "And charming as ever..." She kissed his cheek gently. "But very happy now. Perhaps it's time to take a break from the songs to enjoy more of my time with you." He added with a smile. Anasarnia felt herself humbled by this thought of importance. "You don't need to stop for me, Dimitri..." She smiled timidly. Dimitri smiled and lowered to kiss her head. "You're worthy all compliments, my love. And all of my time. But I won't be stopping, merely taking a break." He assured her.

Anasarnia nodded lightly. "Just a break?" She asked. "Yes. I can't stop singing, my love. You inspired me a hundred new lyrics." He grinned to her. Anasarnia chuckled and blushed lightly. "Love songs? A bit... Corny." She joked lightly. The thought of having a song written about her filled her with embarrassed thoughts. "Oh, I can be a corny man. But they are songs of love, hope, goodness. Everything you make me think of." He kept his sly grin at her. They had already arrived down below Telredor, walking together closely at the wooden bridges around. Anasarnia picked up with her ear the grumbling of a female guard passing by. "Damn, if he told me this I'd be fucking him here already..." The woman mumbled almost enviously. Anasarnia felt her blood streaming a bit faster to her cheeks at her comment. Anasarnia chuckled, staying generally quiet. "I can't compete with that..." She mumbled, still walking closely against Dimitri. "Oh, you don't need to, my love. I like you the way you are. My lovely warrior queen." Dimitri smiled. Anasarnia pointed to under the mushrooms. "That looks like a good place." She smiles. "Warrior queen?" The two began walking underneath a small group of large mushrooms, to where it seemed dry.

Dimitri moved down to place a gentle kiss upon her lips. Anasarnia chuckles, gladly returning the soft kiss as she sat down in comfort upon the soft dirt. Dimitri grinned. "Just something that came to my mind during my thoughts. You rule in my heart, and is still a strong man. So... The title is fitting." He sat besides her, wrapping his arm around her shoulders protectively. Anasarnia chuckled. "It's cute..." She muttered and leaned against him softly, feeling his heartbeat. And so, slowly, from the upper porches of Telredor, the two Draenei could be seen together as they leaned against each other, darkness slowly encovering the bog, allowing the mushrooms to present their beautiful lights. The day afterwards, Anasarnia wrote in her journal after a rather long time of inactivity.

"Today it... Well, it happened... I'm not sure how, but I know it did... We were just sitting beneath the large mushroom when it all happened so quickly... I guess this means I'll be hanging up my sword, sooner or later... But, I don't feel as bad about it as I would...

Today, we sealed our link."
