A Handy Excuse
#1
Even typing this is, to me, rather painful.

Physically, not mentally.

I managed to put my hand through a window today on my way to work and, in doing so, sliced a nice gash on my palm from the knuckle of my thumb down to an inch above the wrist. That's about seven stitches of folded over, bloody gash agony.

The act of typing is actually rather painful to me so, as such, I shall be away for a few days until my wound has healed sufficiently.

If it's not one thing it's another.

EDIT: I'm actually quite happy now. I've got Advil and, right after the gash, the sight of a woman in a power suit with blood pouring down her forearm and her face ghastly pale made a small child scream in terror. Such unbridled fear gave me the strength to soldier on with a smile.

EDIT2:

...Who's head were you trying to crush?

[No really, what happened?]

I hope it heals right and take it easy!

Even when you're injured, you manage to terrify children...

Good luck on getting better soon!

I see what you did there...

Good luck on recovery. And try not to scare too many people in the process, y'know?

I'm sure there's more than a couple of jokes, here.
Take it easy.

... ow.

Take it easy! That means no using that hand to inflict pain and terror on people.

Race you, Anski.

Anyway, good luck in your recovery, Rose. I'd send you a picture to help you feel better, but I can't find any space marines on my phone.

I would recommend Dragon Dictate, it's a piece of software that once setup you can control your computer with your voice. It would make quite a nice exception in the moments that those evil windows decide to attack your hands.
