Evening, friends; I've got one of these too now. While I hardly wish to steal from my colleague, I'll be taking a page from Krilari's book (or blog, as it would be) and reintroducing myself for those of you (I don't know who you are, but there sure are a lot of you!) who don't know me.
For the confused, I am returning. After the restart, as I said before.
First and foremost: Tell us about yourself, as a player.:
I'm Rigley. Obsessive, compulsive, sometimes borderline neurotic. I've played WoW since vanilla and have been into gaming since I was young (starting with an N64- I'm a bit young compared to some others), and about the same can be said for roleplaying. I don't have many friends from retail here (or any, actually), so the jump to CotH was one I made alone when my RP guild was dissolving into raiding. I can safely say though CotH is where I most prefer my RP-- I've tread the waters of retail and chatroom RP, each to varying success.
As mentioned above I'm a bit obsessive on things-- getting RP sets on a PvE server, grinding up professions on CotH, I kinda make habits out of doing meaningless things for the sake of some sort of peculiar compulsion in my head.
Grak knows all about that too. Except I dare say he's worse.

What country do you come from? What is your primary language?
I'm in the United States, and I'm unfortunately stuck in the southern state of Alabama. For those of you who've never been we do indeed have electricity.
Also I play the violin. It isn't a fiddle, as much as you would be led to believe.
I speak English, and tried to learn Spanish once. It didn't work out.
How did you get into Warcraft?:
My cousin got me into it. He was and still is an avid player of WoW, and managed to persuade my mother that me playing the game wouldn't get our computer/her credit card hijacked. No small feat. He even has been gracious enough to let us pay him to pay Blizzard for the subscription fee, since my mother is too paranoid to attach a monthly fee to a credit card online.
...Digressing. I played with him for a brief while before realizing I totally preferred RP, and jumped ship and made a human warrior named Rigley on a quaint little server called Sentinels.
What made you seek our server over others?:
I googled 'WoW RP Server' one day on a passing fancy, thinking that there HAD to be a private server out there dedicated to that sort of stuff. To my surprise, there was!
And god was it intimidating. I remembered looking over the forums and exiting out a few times before signing up, because I didn't think I'd be able to fit in. It took me a while, and I even just dropped CotH completely not long after I had arrived. I found that retail wasn't quite comparable, though, and came back some time after to stay.
What kinds of roleplay do you enjoy?:
Oh, gosh. I like a lot of RP types, though I'm sure not many of you have picked up on that. I like combat (when given a compelling story), romance (when the chemistry is believable) and I have a really big fascination with survival or mystery oriented roleplays, as people may have picked up on with the Dungeoneer events.
I'm of course open to the usual; travel, tavern, so on. I'm a believer that if you take two interesting characters you can make a scene of them discussing drying paint to be fascinating and engaging.
I'll say my favorite though is actually romance; again though, only if believable and dynamic. I'm not one to just have characters stand next to one another and hug and kiss all the time; I need a compelling personality from each to really see it work. Otherwise it just becomes stilted, feeling restricting and dry. There is something truly engaging and fascinating to me to see one which does work, though.
What is your favorite race/class? Why?:
This is a toughie; I love Trolls and their lore/art/so on, and I've been eager to explore more of it (more about that later). At the same time though I love engineering, and thus will usually roll some gnomes (and goblins in Cata). The only races I really have issue with are the Night Elves-- and I'm not sure why. I can just never seem to get into and continue playing one.
Classwise, I like warrior. I love the freedom; it's basically giving you a blank slate to meld into various professions and backstories. Average Joe or Awesome Dan, all that sort of thing.
What are your expectations of this server?:
I'm not certain. I would love to tell you what I hope (and I probably will), but I can only plan so far in advance. I want to expect my wishful thinkings to become reality in the future, but we'll all have to wait and see to figure out if that will actually happen.
Heck, as it stands right now I have two different conflicting ideas-- we'll only know when it comes.
Out of all of our rules and regulations listed on our server, which appeals to you the most?:
Respect. I could harp on all day about why I feel this is the most important part of a server, and it's something I demand to keep working in an amicable mood. My most recent absence is probably indicative of this. I've always been a big believer of arguments with dignity, and being able to speak respectfully to one another (even those you disagree with) is something I cherish. The moment that respect is removed is when an argument ceases and attack begins.
Lastly, tell us a story! It can be short, it can be long; but most importantly, we want to see your work in action. Go!:

I requested this blog as a means to let my opinion be evident to the entirety of CotH. I'm by my own nature something of a recluse, speaking mostly to those I consider familiar, and even then mostly just to my girlfriend. I don't think that is helpful, however-- I want opinions on what I think and what I plan to do, and at times I feel that exposing them to only those who associate me yield biased responses.
While my text may be difficult to discern, it is by far more apt to convey my thoughts than through the spoken word. I hope that those of you who plan to read this get a better feel of who I am, and what I'm doing here on CotH though.
I'm not asking you to like everything I say, and I'm not asking you to be my friend. I'm looking for your understanding and opinions.
