Prisoner of War

Well I have my acceptance into your private world and I'm trying to find the right background to build from.

I'm creating a grizzled old man and have thought about being a soldier recently released from a Horde prison or something similar. Any suggestions on name and location of said prison?

If nothing awesome stands out, then perhaps a retired soldier/farmer.

Any assistance is appreciated.

A certain quest stands out to me.

In Warsong hold in the Borean Tundra, there's a quest where a horde player is to ride forth and perform a prisoner trade with the alliance.

This may give an interesting base to your idea. If anything it shows that the Horde does indeed take prisoners, or in Northrend at least. Perhaps he was a captive within a prisoner camp and was released with the fall of Arthas?

Those particular soldiers are Alliance deserters, I believe - and that's an interesting angle, if you wanted to go that way.
