Timpich44's introduction
#1
First and foremost: Tell us about yourself, as a player:
Well, i am a player who likes to have a good time when i play, when it comes to roleplaying i have always hoped to find a group of people who is pretty/very serious when it comes to the roleplaying. I have played world of warcraft for some time and i played a lot on the roleplaying servers, i have used roleplaying addons and followed the rules of roleplaying, but even if i do so the people around me seams to have a hard time to also do that wich made me search for a place to roleplay with people who share my intrest in roleplaying. As i sayd i follow the rules, always try to roleplay in a way so others also find it enyoyable and i stick to the rules at all time. But for the most part i concider myself a experienced roleplayer who is looking for a good time and some enyoyable roleplaying.

What country do you come from? What is your primary language?:
Im from Sweden, so my primary language is Swedish. Though here in Sweden we being to study English fairly early and i have always been into games so my english has been a step ahead of for example my friends. I know i maybe from time to time may lack some spelling or grammar but i would gladly be informed when i lack there so i could better myself.

How did you get into Warcraft?:
First of i played Warcraft 3 wich i thought was a fun RTS game and it had a good story, then i heard of World of warcraft wich i back then thought was "Warcraft 4" but then i saw it had a subscription fee and i went ahead and payed it. I was immediately trapped. I started around early classic wow, from what i remember i played about 2 months of classic then burning crusade came out and i have played all the expansion after that.

What made you seek our server over others? (Or how did you find us?):
I wanted to find a serious community of roleplayers, as the servers blizzard offer that has the roleplaying mark isent what i would call serious at all time. For example goldshire on the blizzard servers are a bit... diffrent...

What kinds of roleplay do you enjoy?:
I would say all of it, though i don't like if a roleplay sort of circles around two characters and leaves everyone else stand in the back and watch. Though i don't mind a roleplay actuacly being just about two people, its just that on the blizzard servers i toke part in some major events and in some of those it was mostly just two characters that did anything, all the other characters just followed and watched these two characters talk to each other. But other then that i enyoy all kind of roleplaying.

What is your favorite race/class? Why?:
My favorite races are humans, gnomes, trolls, blood elfs and draeneis.

Humans i like alot because they have taken part in many of the major events in the warcraft history and not matter where you go in Azeroth there is a chance that humans have been there and done something, though i think my love for them mostly goes back to my warcraft 3 time.

Gnomes i love because of their history and their way of being. I have always been a fan of science and such. I love their way of living in the mountains carring out their experiments and such, and when they go outside their lab they are often skilled rogues and casters, or they are great tacticians, medics or engineers who aid their allies in battle.

Trolls i love because their way of being, i love their relaxed way of being, and i love their voodoo. The way the voodoo magic and how the trolls live are very intresting, i read alot of troll history and i love the histories of their hex masters and how their tribes rise to empires only to fall and turn into this left over empire with mad hex doctors sacrificing things and being to corrupted gods.

Blood elfs i love just plainly for their story, i mostly rolled blood elfs when i did horde characters and i tried to do all the quest that were related to blood elfs, and when i hear the song that Sylvanas sings on Thalassian about the fall of her people brings a tear to my eyes.

My love for the Draenei is the same as the blood elfs, their history. I read so mouch about them and done so mouch quests about them, i most of the time rolled draeneis on the alliance side.

My favorite classes got to be Mage, priest, shamans and paladins.

Mages i really love for the feeling they give, powerfull mystic characters who look like nothing to the world but their heads are filled with powerfull spells that will bring even the mightiest beasts to their knees. I have always loved to be that supporting character that casts spells and helps the party to move along. A bit like Gandalf in lord of the rings hehe.

My love for the priest is sort of the same as my love for the mage, i love how they live and use spells to help the party, though i love the priest because they will be this justice and will to be good in the party, while the mage easily could be very dark and evil minded while the priest will be light hearthed, good and always in favor of helping the people who has a hard time.

Shamans i love for their magic, the voodoo, the unknown. They always seem to have a drick up their sleeves and they bring with them these crazy and awsome yet lovley rituals and totems. They will always have this special place in my hearth.

Paladins i love for the same reason as the priest, i love how they will fight for justice and to help others no matter what. Though what i like about the paladin especialy mouch is that they are this knight in shining armor who will charges the lines of the undead armies without doubt if it means that his friends will have a chance to escape and survive while he sacrifices himself.

Sorry for the mass of text, i just have a strong feeling for these classes and races so i can't really keep it simple and short.

What are your expectations of this server?:
I expect a resonable amount of people or a group of people that know each other good. Also that they are fairly/very experienced in roleplaying and that they take roleplaying fairly serious, if the roleplaying is taken even more seriously i am all in favor of that. Though i will be a bit sad if the level of seriousness is ridiculous. Though before i see the level of seriousness as ridiculous it has to go very very very long.

Out of all of our rules and regulations listed on our server, which appeals to you the most?:
I will say the rule of Respect, as i found VERY litle of this on the blizzard servers. So im glad to see a server with a rule just around that wich people actualy has to follow.

Lastly, tell us a story! It can be short, it can be long; but most importantly, we want to see your work in action. Go!:
A chilling wind swept over the cold plains of Icecrown. The men standing ready and proud in their formations could feel this wind, it made it feel like their bones had frozen to crystal clear ice.
One of the men was shivering and then sayd "If the undead wont come soon and take us this bloody cold will!"
His comrade next to him awsered with "Probably, but the undead aren't as restless as one would think"
Before the man could even nod a shouting could be heard from one of the icey stone hills not far from them.
"They are here! They are comming!"
All the men straighten themself and stood upright with their weapons ready, it was the moment they had been waiting for. The undead were on the march.
As with every secound ticking away the undead army wich they were to face came closer, and for every secound the cold seamed to get more intense.
Behind the lines of proud soldiers on a horseback sat General Stoneback. Stoneback was a proud, noble and stubborn general. He knew that the victory in this battle would mean that the victory against the Lich king would come even faster, though his forces was torn and tierd, they hadent had a moments rest for many days and the morale was low. Though Stoneback had through out the years gotten a respectable reputation in the army and just the mere precence inspierd the men around him to fight on even against odds that most men would just surrender against.

Stoneback unsheathed his sword and begun to make his way around the army.
"You head the scout men! The blood undead are closing in! And they will show no mercy in this battle, and you will do the same! You shall show no mercy against these fiends of hell! They climbed out of the earth to killl, maim and burn your home, your loved ones and your land! If we fail here now there will be nothing left of what you know as home today! They will literally rip your family apart! But thats why you are here men, you are here to stop them, to make them go back to their graves and make sure they stay there! A victory here means that there still will be a home to return to, it also means that out comrades working on the main way to the citadell will have a easier work to do! So remember men! This is not a meaningless battle, it affects the whole out come of this crusade! You are proud soldiers of the Alliance! You will fight with honor and courge! And remember, the light is with you!"

The speech Stoneback gave inspired the soldiers, it gave them hope of a bright future, and as the generals speech ended the undead could be seen, they were marching against the alliance army.
The undead army dident make any sound, only a rhythmic marching sounds and a clanking from the armor they wore.
Suddenly the undeads stoppe, and complete silence toke place. For minutes the armies stared at each other.
Stoneback knew this lowered the morale of the lads, and so he rode infront of his army making contact with his sword with his soldiers weapons and as he reached the end of his army he turned around and charged against the living dead screaming ontop of his lungs
"CHAAAAAAAAAARGE!!! For the Alliance! For the light!"
Not soon after the alliance army begun to charge. From complete silence to a synchronized war cry and then the impact came.
The battle had begun...

Is there anything else you would like to add, ask, or otherwise clarify?:ong.
Well i would like to say i found filling out this template funny, and I apologize for the mass of text, i just love typing. And i didn't use any smiles in this introduction as i know they are forbidden in RP, so i didn't know how you look on them here on the forums.

I would also like to ask, if this introduction gets declined, will i be informed why and will i get a secound chance? Or may i clarify anything i written that you find wierd or hard to understand, or maybe that i wrote so mouch you would like to have a shorter verison, is it possible to get a secound chance then?

Also when i wrote this i made some miss click and a litle part of it dissapeard, but i think i filled it back in, so if anything is missing please contact me.

Also im sorry if my username on the website isent very roleplayish, i just used my regular internet name.

Hello, Timpich44! Welcome to Conquest of the Horde!

In case you haven't yet, please read over the server's rules and policies available at the Coth's wiki. We also have guides for lore and character creation, so if you feel your lore needs some brushing up, give these articles a good read.

We are indeed a fairly close-knit community here. From what we've seen here, you can find just about not only any kind of roleplay, but also kinds of roleplay styles and individuals who follow them. We do consider ourselves a "serious" roleplay server in that we highly encourage everyone high-quality roleplay, with enough leniency for flexibility for our members, especially newcomers.

As for your question, we discourage smilies in-character, but you can surely use them freely out-of-character and in the forums themselves. Your forum name, though, is just fine--remember, though, that your in-game name for your characters must be race and lore appropriate.

I'm not declining your introduction, but I can surely say that when you fill up profiles, I encourage you to really brush up on your English grammar. Otherwise, you're good to go!

If you have any other questions, feel free to ask the GM team or just anyone in the CotH community! We're more than happy to show a newcomer the ropes to this server.

To go on what Immy said, be sure to remember to capitalize your I's when they're alone. That's the only thing I noticed in my few-second skimover of it, but a big issue for some of us.
