Introduction to Andros
#1
First and foremost: Tell us about yourself, as a player:
I've been playing WoW since early 2007, and after a few years of playing became bored with just questing and doing dungeons for any scrap of lore I could find. I have always enjoyed writing stories and improvisation so decided to give role playing a go. I played on Wyrmrest Accord (US) server for a while, and thoroughly enjoyed it, more so than the game content itself. Soon after the launch of Cataclysm I stopped playing game content altogether (finding too much of the endgame stuff boring) and began searching for a better RP community.

What country do you come from? What is your primary language?:
The United States of America, and I speak American English.

How did you get into Warcraft?:
I had actually played Warcraft III and never really gotten into it long before I started playing World of Warcraft. Shortly after moving to a new neighborhood I met someone who I soon discovered was a WoW addict. After he showed off his shiny game for awhile I decided that I wanted it, and shortly after buying it I went and replayed Warcraft for the lore.

What made you seek our server over others? (Or how did you find us?):
Well my good old friend Google told me about you one day when I was searching for an allover better RP environment. I was hesitant for a while to make the jump to a private server but have finally decided to do so.

What kinds of roleplay do you enjoy?:
I'm glad there's an "s" at the end of that word (kind) because if there wasn't I don't believe I could answer this question. I love role playing in all ways shapes and forms, liking to chill out in a tavern and just talk sometimes but wanting to create an adventure others. The only role play I don't like is acting out some sort of heavily-scripted scene which, yes, I have done before. I understand the need for a setting and some parameters in some situations, but enjoy freedom too much to give it up completely. :D

What is your favorite race/class? Why?:
Well I love to play a Warlock, primarily because like them, I'm a knowledge-seeker and so I can relate easily. Now I haven't been driven to try and summon demons and harness dark magic in my search for greater knowledge, but the principle is there. For much of the same reason I love to RP as a human, easy to relate and to understand.

What are your expectations of this server?:
That it will only consist of decent RPers who love doing so, and that by coming here I won't have to deal with "Lollers" and Trolls.

Out of all of our rules and regulations listed on our server, which appeals to you the most?:
Respect, which I feel goes hand in hand with maturity. By making these things mandatory you (in theory) will make the entire experience of this server infinitely better.

Lastly, tell us a story! It can be short, it can be long; but most importantly, we want to see your work in action. Go!:

Niery walked up the long spiral staircase to the bar, his eyes sore from reading in low light. The floorboards creaked as he walked into the empty pub, only the barkeep hanging around in the front for the warlock society hidden below. Niery walked outside, not acknowledging the bartender, brushing a cobweb off of his sleeve. He stood next to the sign of the "Slaughtered Lamb" while he waited for his eyes to adjust to the morning light.
Guess I was down there all night, he thought to himself, And yet still no clues to the final part of the ritual.
Niery had searched far and wide for the final piece to the ritual of summoning for a Felhunter. He had come so close and was still missing one piece of the spell of summoning.
Niery began walking slowly across Stormwind City, through the quiet Mage Quarter, around the busy Trade Quarter, and finally to the great library off of the keep. He glanced around the room, spotting a young female magi looking through a stack of books.
"Good morning Luina." he said to her.
"Ah, hello there", she replied, "I think I may have found one that might help you."
Luina had been Niery's friend for a few years at that point, and was helping him in his search. She had been one of the only mages he'd met who wouldn't simply think down on him for trying to summon a demon.
Luina rifled through the books, "I just had it....where did it, ah!" she grabbed the grimoire she had deemed useful, "Will this help at all?"
Niery took it from her, flipping through the pages until he came across an entry about the summoning of a Felhunter, his eyes widened as he read through it.
"This is it!" he exclaimed, "Combined with what I just read," he pulls a book out of his satchel, "This will allow me to complete the summoning. Thank you... thank you!"
Luina smiled, "I'm glad I found it. I'm surprised something so...dark... would be in the library."
"Mmm, me too", Niery replied, already walking toward the door, "Though I'm not going to worry too much, I'm about to summon myself a new minion!"
Luina rolled her eyes sitting back down to her books He's so strange... she thought to herself.

Well there you go, I threw together something using my Human Warlock's name and the name of my friend's Mage (He said it was ok and might even be joining too).

Is there anything else you would like to add, ask, or otherwise clarify?:
You require your members to not do a lot of things. Is there anything that you do require specifically (ie. play X hours a week, give us money, sign away your soul in this contract here, you know little things like that)?

TBDAndros, welcome to Conquest of the Horde!

You're free to give me money if you want to. Anywho, I'd suggest looking at our rules, policies and guides as a way to get the feel of how things roll 'round them here parts.

We also have a guide section on the forums, as well a restart profile guide of my own making, that I'd suggest glancing over before writing your first character profile as it will likely make the approval go a tad more smoothly.

If you have questions, don't hesitate to ask me in-game (I'm usually on Uthaniel, Munix, Juna or Marian), or anyone else, really! I'm also always available for a forum PM.

Have fun!

Alrighty I'll look over those right away so I can begin a role playing experience hopefully superior to most others :). See you in game.
