Question

Not a formal request, as of yet, but just a question. Now, when I played my ogre character, I used the effect from the Dire Maul suit on a weapon to disguise myself as an ogre, effectively RPing as one. After looking up transformation items, I found one that seems to have the effect to turn a player into a Broken One

As I did not find Broken Ones under the list of Not Playable, could I perhaps RP as one? Lore wise, many Broken Ones are not corrupted to the will of the Legion. I believe there are many Broken working inside the draenai city. (Though I've never actually been there to confirm this.) Also, I read this :

A tiny tribe of Broken, called the Broken Exiles, lead by Magtoor live in the Harborage in the Swamp of Sorrows. They crossed the Dark Portal before it closed with the Lost Ones. Though the Lost Ones went insane from homesickness, these Broken did not. They are Neutral to both the Alliance and the Horde. Since Patch 2.0, emissaries of The Exodar have arrived in their village. They continue to remain neutral to the Horde out of fear of the nearby village of Stonard, much to the emissaries' annoyance.

Also the Deathsworn have been found not completely loyal to the Betrayer, so, I don't know. I have a -lot- more to read about Broken lore, but, this is just the initial asking to find out whether I should go through the trouble.
I have not thought of the exact details for such a character, and I don't know if the Ashtongue Cowl gives the model of a specific "evil" alligned broken, but, I just want to ask the question if this would be considered by the GMs

The list on non-playable races is not exhaustive, it's just what comes up the most often.

Technically, you're not allowed to play an ogre either, as it's not one of the standard races.

Might wish to change the wiki then, as Ogres are under the list of possible playe races.

These races MAY be made available to roleplayers who will really dedicate themselves to playing them. This is still being discussed, so don't hold your breath.

But, as I said, it was a question. I just figured I would repeat what I did last time, requesting an item with the transformation-effect on it.

This is not the same as saying the races are allowed, it means it is still being considered. We have not given anyone permission to play nagas, goblins, ogres, etc. There are directions in the same area for what to do if you want a special character.

I am sure you only mean well and all, but remember that that application was put up pretty long ago, there´s been changes. And, after all, there´s a lot you can do with ten races and eight classes.

Alright, as I said, simply a question. And, as I believe, the answer is no, I suppose I must leave it at that.
