Shanzikull's Introduction
#1
First and foremost: Tell us about yourself, as a player:
I had thought of writting this way-too-long history about my whole experience as a WoW player, but as it may seem obvious, it would be way too long. Let's just say, that I in all honesty, never hit the level cap. Not in traditional manners, in any case (not talking about power-leveling or anything, mind you. I just never leveled all the way up). I only came to trully like WoW once I discovered the RP side of it. I used to get along fine with everyone, and I guess I could say I was respected by some folks. I always liked to lighten the mood when things got out of control, due to childish problems that would innevitable pop up.

What country do you come from? What is your primary language?:
I'm from Portugal, and my primary language is Portuguese.

How did you get into Warcraft?:
My first contact with the Warcraft universe was W3 and its Frozen Throne expansion. Back then I was both keen on and terrible at RTS games, which resulted in long sessions of poorly getting through plenty of campaigns to learn more about the lore. Then, around the time that Burning Crusade came out, I tried out WoW for the first time.

What made you seek our server over others? (Or how did you find us?):
Google, plain and simple. It was actually one of the first results of my search.

What kinds of roleplay do you enjoy?:
Forgive my sentimentalism here, but truth be told, almost nothing made me quite as happy as sitting in the Stormwind Park's moonwell, and tell my stories (usually my own, written in verse) to the small crowds that would gather in answer to my announcements. At some points, they would even pay me, with Gold or random items. Got hired to speak at a wedding this one time. Also, I was never a huge fan of RP fights. They always seemed too dull. I like to see action, and read words, not vice-versa.

What is your favorite race/class? Why?:
Druid and Paladin. I always liked hybrid stuff. Good at many things, best at none. Never had a preference for race. Or faction, for that matter.

What are your expectations of this server?:
I'm hoping I get the same feeling of awesomeness and, well, joy that I got from RPing in retail.

Out of all of our rules and regulations listed on our server, which appeals to you the most?:
Tolerance. It's required anywhere.

Lastly, tell us a story! It can be short, it can be long; but most importantly, we want to see your work in action. Go!:
(I hope this won't be a problem, but I'm gonna write the story in verse, simply because I'm more used to it)

Cold struck his bones
As he ran towards the dead
Hooves thundering in the stones
In his mind the deceased that he once lead.
But the thoughts that crossed his head...
It wasn't revenge, nor fury
Nothing but awe of a sea of azure and ruby
He had lost all he had
What was once wisdom had now gone bad
Twisted, broken, a Tauren spirit undone
The tribe had lost its warriors, plus this one
But he would die with no honor, no memory
Because no matter how many brave souls you find
There's always at least one, hopeless and blind.

Is there anything else you would like to add, ask, or otherwise clarify?:
The name of the server makes it seem like a Horde-oriented place. It may seem like a stupid question, but IS it a Horde-oriented server? How is the Alliance-Horde balance?

Hello there Shanzikull, and welcome to CotH.

If you haven't done so yet, it's worth glancing over our Wiki to take a look at the rules, see our guidelines for making a character and perhaps even look over a few approved profiles while you're there.

Thanks for the story, Shanz. No, the server isn't Horde-inclined. Not excessively, anyway. There is a relatively even blend, although it does teeter towards Alliance, of late. It depends on whether or not you believe Blood Elves are truly Horde, in which case the Alliance lean is a heck of a lot heavier.

I hope you enjoy your time here. Do feel free to PM me if you have any further queries. I'll try and answer to the best of my ability.
