Introduction - Cuartos
#1
First and foremost: Tell us about yourself, as a player:
I'm as young as 15 years old, but I've had my own WoW account for five whole years, with four of them including a great deal of RP. I play primarily on Argent Dawn (RP), but I do have a few characters on Darkmoon Faire (RP) as well. Two of my characters, a level 85 Shaman and a level 34 Hunter are used exclusively for RP.

What country do you come from? What is your primary language?:
I'm from Denmark, so my primary language is (obviously) Danish, though I've been writing, hearing and speaking English almost as often as Danish since I started playing WoW on my own - after my brothers quit playing.

How did you get into Warcraft?:
Five and a half years ago, my brothers and I shared an account. Then one of them got his own, and so did I, while my other brother kept the original one. ALong the first year of playing by myself I slowly got into Roleplaying, and I've enjoyed it ever since.

What made you seek our server over others? (Or how did you find us?):
It was pretty random, actually. I wanted a more serious RP experience than what the regular game had to offer, so I googled "World of Warcraft Private RP Server", and this one was at the top. I tried a few more links, but this seemed like the obvious best choice, mostly due to how much more organized it is.

What kinds of roleplay do you enjoy?:
I enjoy nice and, well, peaceful roleplay, but I have no trouble picking a fight if my character's nature/mood/feelings or the situation suggests it, but overall, I'll try to keep it friendly. Beyond that, and I hope I'm not crossing any lines here, I find romantic RP rather interesting. Again, don't hang me up on this, and I'll be flexible, and some people don't agree that it's the way to go.

What is your favorite race/class? Why?:
My favorite races are Human for Alliance, and Blood Elf for Horde, both simply because they are the easiest to roleplay by default (gets around annoying accents and lacks of knowledge and insight regarding other cultures due to having intel through libraries etc.), and because they are, once again simply, the closest you'll get on each faction to actual humans. I do find Draenei somewhat interesting as well. Favorite class is Rogue, because you don't need the above-average level of strength that a warrior requires, and emoting spellcasting can easily get messy.

What are your expectations of this server?:
That I'll have a great experience with the players around me and have a chance to play on a roleplaying server that doesn't involve gold spammers, OOC "lollers", metagamers and the likes. And of course to get to RP with a whole slew of new and interesting people.

Out of all of our rules and regulations listed on our server, which appeals to you the most?:
That's gotta be "Humility". I've played with my fair share of OP characters and metagamers, and I gotta say, it's tiring. Everyone is trying to be better that everyone else, and it just doesn't work that way. Problem is, as far as I know, there's nothing to do about it, as Blizz doesn't seem to take action on IC matters.

Lastly, tell us a story! It can be short, it can be long; but most importantly, we want to see your work in action. Go!:

"There was once a lonely soldier, with no means of finding love, for he was brutal and scarred all over his face and body. But he had a wish. A wish for a child, a boy, that he could mentor and teach to be a great fighter, not unlike himself. So one fateful, rainy day, his wish was granted, as he found an orphan right outside of his little cottage in the woods.

He raised this boy as his son for many years, taught him to hunt and fight with weapons, though he only allowed him the use of wooden weapons, so he would not injure himself, as he had to train alone most of the time, because the father had much work to do. So the soldier had put all sharp weapons out of reach for the son, on the highest shelf. This continued, right up until another fateful, rainy day, exactly ten years after the first one.

The soldier was out hunting alone, leaving his son to practice his fighting skills. When evening came, and the father still had not returned, the son became worried. Strange noises could be heard from the woods. He went inside for cover, but the sounds were coming even closer, he could hear them now just as clearly as he could outside. It started raining, but now, the troubling scratches and growls were well above even the constant clashing of water against the windows.

A window was suddenly broken. The boy was startled, and looked the direction of the noise. A howl was heard outside, as the boy glanced upon a large, black and angry wolf, with glowing red eyes and large, pointed fangs, ready for the strike. Its paw had punched a hole in the wet glass, and now, the entirety of its body was leaping through with a loud crashing sound. The boy grabbed the nearest broom, jumped onto the kitchen table and pointed it at the animal. The wolf leaped towards him. In a flash of desperation, the boy reached for the top shelf from his position atop the table, got a hold of something, and hurled it at the wolf. The beast fell backwards with a squeal. As it got standing, the boy noticed a wide, open wound across its forehead. He had thrown an axe at it. The wolf seemed like it hadn't noticed, though, as it leaped at him once more. The boy covered himself and prayed for a miracle.

That was when his father stormed through the door, sword drawn, fiercely crying at the wolf. He drilled his blade through its body, piercing seemingly every ounce of life in its body, as it fell to the ground, stone dead immediately after. The man turned to his son. Had he been too late? The boy had been bitten by the shoulder, and he was badly wounded.

He eventually got better, but the point is: Don't wish for something if you aren't prepared to face the consequences. The father was reckless, and expected more from his child than what it could live up to.

Is there anything else you would like to add, ask, or otherwise clarify?:
Only that the story I just wrote might not be a masterpiece, as it just came off the top of my head.
