So, to keep it short, my computer just took a dive off the deep end. Multiple viruses, scareware and malware just hit all in one neat, apocalyptic package. Doing what I can to salvage it, but the current prognosis is grim. Will report back here when any new breakthroughs are reached.

An update: cleared out 10 trojans, but not the scareware that's letting them through.
Status: not fixed.

After some sleep, I ran a second scan/rescue disc. Picked up 6 more trojans, 5 worms, and a rootkit. Scareware program has yet to be terminated.
Status: still not fixed.

Hmm... I have to ask, did an anti-virus program suddenly show up on your computer, claiming everything has been infected?
If so...
Download MalwareBytes and SUPERanti spyware. And run em both. (PReferably SAS first, followed by MalwareBytes.)
It works.
(Worse case scenario, make a secondary account on your computer and give it admin privileges. Though, this will probably only all work if it's a rogueware... which I think scareware is also.)

Yes, that is the case. Problem is? It cut off my access to the internet as well. What do?

In that case...
You probably don't have any actual viruses.
Rogueware (Scareware) is basically something that says you have viruses in an effort to scam you into buying the false product.
You're probably not actually cut off from the net. However, my advice is that you make another account on your computer and give it admin privileges. Work from that as the scareware/rogueware is oft times tied to the sole account.

No viruses? Weird. I ran a boot-load rescue disc my dad handed to me (Kaspersky; he's the resident techie in the house.), and it tracked down the aforementioned viruses. Unless that's just the program throwing off fake things to draw my attention elsewhere, that is.

You know, Nodcommando was talking on TS about how he had this issue this weekend.
I've had the issue before, I can tell you what registry keys you have to delete/modify and what not.

Cressnub: send me a list of them in a PM. I'm gonna attempt to run SAS and Malwarebytes between then and now.

No, I meant...I need to know what the program that it keeps telling you to download is first. Then I can tell you which to delete.

Update bump! Win 7 AntiVirus 2012 managed to stop me from downloading and running any and all .exe files. Any thoughts?

I ran in safe mode and it let me run .exe's, and then I did some stuff, and ran MalwareBytes, SAS, RKill and stuff. Fixed it.
