DistractingZoom's Introduction.
#1
First and foremost: Tell us about yourself, as a player:
Well, there's not much to tell. I try to keep to myself and the people I know, for starters. I tend to defend my point until it's dead and has been stabbed a few times when I get into arguments, as rare as that is, for another. I'm a fan of, and actively use, the WoWRPG, so...we'll see where that gets me.

What country do you come from? What is your primary language?:
I come from America. West Virginia, to be exact. And my primary language is English. I speak no other languages.

How did you get into Warcraft?:
It's a long story, one I barely remember myself. Some time during early TBC, my Uncle introduced me to WoW. I became interested in it's lore and quickly pulled into the original Warcraft games. I was RPing in WoW by late TBC/Early WoTLK and have been since.

What made you seek our server over others? (Or how did you find us?):
Boredom, mostly. A friend of mine told me he was returning here, and I decided I might as well follow.

What kinds of roleplay do you enjoy?:
I adore Light Users, Lordaeron and the Scourge. These have always been my areas of expertise in lore, and they've always been what I love to RP more than any other thing. Sure, I've RPed an Elf before, I've RPed a Draenei, a Dwarf, a Gnome, a Tauren, an Orc...But I've never been able to enjoy them as much as my Lordaeronian born, Human Argent Paladin.

What is your favorite race/class? Why?:
Humans are by far my favorite race, and as far as class? Paladin. If we want to get into specifics, Templar. I do prefer them over regular Paladins, but I've enjoyed RPing each equally.

What are your expectations of this server?:
Oh, nothing high. I've been here before and I won't try and lie by saying I enjoyed myself. In retrospect though, quite a few of my problems here were caused by my own immature behavior. So I'm hoping if I just keep to myself this time around, things won't end as badly as they did last time.

Out of all of our rules and regulations listed on our server, which appeals to you the most?:
The rules on maturity, of course. It saddens me that most people rarely follow them. But hey, what can ya' do? Kretol is a good person trying to run a good server, and I can't really ask for more than that.

Lastly, tell us a story! It can be short, it can be long; but most importantly, we want to see your work in action. Go!:
You sit in a tavern, enjoying a large mug of rum as a party of some sort rages about you. You peer around the room, most of your vision filled by men and women dancing and a couple Dwarfs doing rather inappropriate things to eachother with their beards. Through a crowd, you glimpse something rather...Out of place. A single Human man sitting alone at the other end of the tavern. From his waist down, he wears plate-mail. Old looking stuff, but it somehow maintains a regal, new glimmer to it. From his waist UP however, he wears nothing. Or at least, not much. Only a tabard covers his chest, and that much is debatable. The tabard is old, beaten, torn and ripped in multiple places, stained by blood and what appears to be ichor in many more. You turn your gaze from the man to what rests against his table, next to him. A long two-handed sword sits there. It's hilt is wrapped in a deep, dark blue cloth. From it's hilt to the tip of it's blade runs an inscription. Bits of it seem close to Common in language, but altogether it is impossible to read. Though it isn't the blade with it's inscription, or the hilt with it's simple beauty, that catches your eye. It is instead the eery, metallic silvery glow that seems to passively surround the blade. It pulses and retreats, brightens and dims, almost as if breathing. Slowly, something comes into your vision. It's a hand, from the man you had previously almost forgotten. He grabs the sword as he stands and tosses it over his back, into a leather strap made to carry. He slowly turns his head to face you. He wears a blue hat, and the top half of his face is hidden in shadow because of it. A brunette beard covers his face, rather unkempt. But through multiple scars, bits of brown bangs, and shadow, you catch a glimpse of two silvery glowing orbs where the man's eyes should be. Almost as soon as you notice these, the man grins. He turns and leaves the tavern. Even as he leaves and you return to your drink, the image of the eyes remains with you. Cold, uncaring, strong, staring into your soul and motives themselves...Dark, despite their bright appearance.

Is there anything else you would like to add, ask, or otherwise clarify?:
As I said, I did used to RP here. About seven or eight months ago, actually. It ended with a disagreement between myself and a staff member before I left in a huff. I'll be writing an application for my main character soon, so I want to clarify: If you recognize the name of that character, chances are I'm the same person who RP'd him before.

Hello DistractingZoom, welcome to CotH.

If you haven't done so yet, it's worth glancing over our Wiki to take a look at the rules, see our guidelines for making a character and perhaps even look over a few approved profiles while you're there.

Thank you for the story. It was quite a pleasant read, despite being a foreboding block of words.

We hope you enjoy your time here. Feel free to PM me if you have any further queries, and I'll do my best to answer.
