I'd been meaning to give you feedback for a while, and am just now getting to it, but-

Let's first discuss the good things about your DMing. You're very enthusiastic, good-humored, and provide a good narrative to follow. Furthermore, you RP while DMing, which is a rarity, without stealing the show, for which you deserve props.

Now for the bad.

Your events are too long, drawn-out, and repetitive. The Dun Garok event had WAY too many stops, with a battle against some 3-5 Forsaken around almost every corner, with a high roll threshold and each mob taking a whooooole mess of heat to go down. The event itself went over 4 hours, and it was the same old stuff every time. Threshold roll, kill guys, go forward.

The event today wasn't quite as bad, as there was the "pick and choose" routes, but they were a bit superficial. Nothing really happened if you picked point A or B outside of flavor RWs and emotes, and while you do flavor very well, it'd be nice if there was more impact on the event as a whole from them.

All in all, your events could afford to be better paced, more varied, and more flexible. That said, you DM very well and I do not believe it at all beyond your power to fix these shortcomings, and as always you are a cheerful fellow who is full of optimism and eagerness. Keep striving, and you'll improve mate!
Your stories will always remain...

... as will your valiant hearts.

I'm here again, and looking for feedback for the Under the Full Moon event chain. Toss me a feedback every now and then, whenever you feel like it.

Still eager for feeding of the back. Or backing of the feed. Or was it feedback? Am I doing this wrong?

Thanks for picking up my slack this evening. It was a kind gesture for you to volunteer to DM. I won't look a gift-horse in the mouth.
The true test of his choice lies forward.

War in the Highlands - the Battle of Highbank. What did ya think? How did I do? What did I do wrong? What did I do right?

First, I was going to make a long post. I decided a shorter one works just as well. Only two points to note.

Combat, combat, combat, combat.

Combat events are nice, simple, and make people feel like heroes, especially if you're fighting something big and scary. For some, combat events can be boring. I'm one of those people in the middle. Three or four combat encounters at most, while trying at three. I know you wanted to have a big attack on Highbank today, make it really feel like a siege, but eight combat encounters is a little much. I would suggest that if you wanted to have combat encounters that occur at the same place, you instead combine the waves and get the enemies less HP. Sure someone would feel heroic IC if they cleaved two orcs to death.

What about those zeppelins?

There were three chances for the players to get a shot at the zeppelins during the event. One at the beach, another at the tower, and a last one at the tower near the boat. You could have perhaps given the players a chance to roll to see which one gets to destroy the zeppelin in whatever reasonable way they wanted, instead of letting an NPC destroy one zeppelin and destroying the last two as an obligation to end the event (which is reasonable, since there weren't a lot of people by the end), but again, the zeppelins at the end felt more like "I need to end the event this way" instead of anything.

That's all.

Now give me feedback on my characters, GMing, and etc. Do it!

Zenethen this feedback thread was hard to find...

But since you asked nicely some time back for feedback as in the last couple of Regiment events, I will give you some.

Your DM skills are wonderful, you give everyone their chance to shine and the way you word everything seems rather smooth and enjoyable to read. Your co-operation with Frank seems to be on a rather good level to the point where the events you organize seem to gain on epic factor by the week. The humor here and there gives a positive vibe which is good, it is not something everyone has.

Every Sunday I am continiously surprised on how you guys manage to get everything organized, it makes me wish you were there as a DM for my event as well, as not too long from now I will be hosting my own. One final thing however, during the battle, certain things were too repetative. Perhaps you could work on that? The Dark Iron charge for an example when they came in turns was confusing and a little bland but the humor saved it. However the four mindless NPCs we came across later on were bland as they get. Other than that the final battle with Cortharian was epic, the way you managed to portray it in my head I sat glued to the screen due to it.

As someone who tries to come to the events at least semi-regularly, I will say that I've enjoyed them. They've provided RP for Tarin where there really isn't anything else, and has introduced him to a hoist of interesting characters. You've been helpful in me getting his position as a Thane incorporated into the RP, which is always something that's enjoyed.

However, the one issue I do have is how often you postpone or push back things. While I understand that you can't control this, it still can be a bit of a hassle, and making sure that you set the dates for the events free and open far ahead of time would likely go a long way in helping you.

How did the third event go for ya? Did you like it? Did you hate it? Some things bother you? Give me feedback, please!

I hated it- I actually really enjoyed it, it was well set up and thought out. Mid-way through the event I realized; "Wow, he put a lot of time into setting this up. Planning it out, etc. Not just pull most things out of his rear end." +1

I think this is my first feedback post like.. Ever. Maybe.

I decided to joined your War in the Highlands - Rallying the Wildhammer since you were all like "Bring yer dorfs!" and was like "Sure man. I'll support you.". I ended up being the second Dwarf and the only Rogue, which was kinda cool because paralysis poisoned daggers are useful in combat.

In the event itself...

Spoiler:
First off, I was a bit taken back by the use of the f-word. I'm fine with vulgar language since it's in my daily use, but I'm one of those.. "Keep it to low use in the WoW Universe." and "Elves don't cuss like that..". I'm just not feeling it since you can use other words other than that one, but that's just my preference.

Then we had that issue with lack of GM contact, but you tried and we decided to go on with the event. I didn't mind that since I personally believe GMs just add onto the flair and visualization of an event. Then we messed up because the mobs were aggroed and me being a lowbie level 60 didn't help. I'm not sure if a GM placed everything for the event beforehand, but they should have changed the mobs to Friendly because then things wouldn't be such a problem. And I'm not quite sure what you wanted out of the mobs itself either, but yeah. That part of the event was inconvenient, but we managed.

We used the threshold system and a few people, including myself, messed up on defense rolls, thinking it was an attack roll. It would be nice if you would clarify such things in parenthesis because it helps people like myself. Also that's what I'm used to seeing when I used to attend events back in the day.

Uhm, another thing would be.. Probably naming NPC mobs to help out on targeting and what not. I have always felt in the dark when it comes to the combat itself and therefore I put out low quality emotes. Yeah, gunna go charge the nearest Orc because there's no strategy since I have no idea where everything is. That and it would help which NPCs are down for the count. Here's an example of what I would like to see.

Eight Defias Bandits appear from their hiding spots, surrounding the group on the road. Bandits A and B are in front of the group. Bandits C and D are to the left. Bandits E and F are to the right. Bandits G and H are behind the group.

In my mind I can now visualize who I can attack and which one I'll target first or whatever I'm going to do. I can help someone attack Bandit G or take Bandit H by myself. Of course you don't have to use letters and can use numbers instead.

Outside of the event...

Spoiler:
Right before I joined, I read some conversation on GMI. The person that was talking I believe was confused and had no idea what was going on. So, afterwards I decided to check how often you promoted this event line by using the thread itself. I didn't see it within the recent forums, so I went to your profile to check.

I mean I've seen this thread before a few times, but never read it. So, your last post was on Wednesday, July 23rd, 2014, saying the event would be Sunday, July 27th, at 1:00 PM Server Time. And I attended Monday, July 28th? I was like.. Did he postpone it or what.. I'm confused. Then I looked at the rest of the thread.

You had the thread since May 4th and the first event post was Sunday, May 18th, 2014, saying the event will be taking place on Saturday, May 24th at 2:00 PM Server Time. Then it was postponed twice.

Your second event was posted Monday, June 9th, 2014, event on Sunday, June 15th, at 2:00 PM Server Time. It was postponed three times. One being due to low server population. If that ever happens, you should have a back up mini event to do instead for those who came because it's disappointing when you go to event and learn you can't do it because there's not enough people.

Then I think your third and fourth events were on time?? Or at least it seems that way. So in total, you've had this event line running from May to now, which is almost 3 months. Which I can now see why people are clueless about it or just don't attend. You took a long time to get it off the ground. It would help if you planned events within close time spans.

I don't know your life or schedule, but that's just my opinion. To me, it's like.. Inviting friends to hang out and you kinda blow them off, whether intentionally or not.. Then after awhile your friends are kinda like eh.. I don't really wanna hang out anymore.

Again, these are all my opinions, whether you take them to heart is your choice.
