Right! So.. I've been on the server for about two weeks. I ADORE IT. AND WILL NEVER GO BACK TO RETAIL. Anyways, my issue is that I downloaded it from a torrent, (I used Utorrent and the link on the site) And what do you know, I get a letter from my ISP telling me I was very naughty and seeded it on accident. Now, I come back and my file I downloaded with my COTH stuff is wiped. -_- I don't know how it happened, but there's like nothing left in the folders.

With advice from my awesome friend Sachikomaeda, I downloaded wrath and tried patching it manually to avoid using torrents and having my ISP up my ass again. Turns out, that hates me as well. Because I can't get past 3.0.2 because of 'dis error.

Blizzard Updater was unable to read the file "C:\Users\Public\Games\World of Warcraft\Data\enUS\backup-enUS.MPQ". This error may be caused by problems with the media or drive at C:\--for example, a scratched or dirty CD-ROM/DVD-ROM, hard drive corruption, or a networking problem while downloading the update. (The data being read was "Data\enUS\Credits_LK.html", and the error code was 0.) If this problem persists, you may be able to solve it by uninstalling and then reinstalling the game. If you are unable to correct this problem, please contact Blizzard Technical Support. (Converter::Load)
To check this installation for problems, click the "Repair" button. The Repair tool can automatically fix many update errors.

SO IN SHORT. Everything Blizzard hates me. FOR THE LOVE OF GOD SOMEONE HELP ME GET BACK TO COTH. I will give infinite internet luvs to who ever helps me get back on the server to which I am now addicted too. ;_;

Re-install WoW, everything... From Vanilla wow to TBC to Wotlk... Do not use the auto patcher as it will just screw everything up. Sadly, there are no other alternatives that I can think of. (Other than copying from a usb.)

I told him best thing to do would be to uninstall and reinstall.

Sounds like at some point in time when your WoW folder bailed on you, your backup-enUS.MPQ file got corrupted. Fresh install. You have to love the fresh install smell.

Just reinstall everything. There are download links; just get the WotLK installer. Then seek out the patches, don't use auto patcher (in realmlist.wtf just remove all lines except set realmlist conquestofthehorde etc); you have to stop at the very last WotLK patch, 3.3.5a. I prefer saying, y'never know, a coffee cup and wow, you're installing Cataclysm.

It just seems as backup-enUS.MPQ or some other critical file is corrupted. You'll love fresh installs. :D

Good luck
Allons-y!

Right.. fresh installed. Got all the way to 3.0.3 by patching myself, feeling optimistic.. and then I get this while trying to apply 3.0.8

"Patch can't be applied because it is missing data for: "enUS". If this problem persists, you may be able to solve it by uninstalling and then reinstalling the game. If you are unable to correct this problem, please contact Blizzard Technical Support. (SetLanguage)"

I AM GOING TO REACH INTO MY COMPUTER AND PUNCH IT RIGHT IN THE HARD DRIVE.

Would a file transfer of sort be a suitable alternative? Maybe you could have someone send you the folder over some other medium, such AIM, MSN Messenger, Skype, or something similar.

Would that trigger an alert from your ISP as well, or was the issue specifically that you were seeding?

If that works, I would love anyone who could try and transfer the folder over Skype to me. I'm sure it was just the seeding, I just wanna try and avoid torrents for a while because of the alert.
