Introduction, Hello!
#1
First and foremost: Tell us about yourself, as a player:
Let's see, I have been playing fantasy games since I was young, my parents are both into this type of setting and so I grew up on spinning stories and playing fantasy type games. My first role-play experience was on a forum when I was 10 years old. I was terrible and looking back on it makes me cringe but I always had fun. I also enjoy writing so text based RP has always drawn me in.

As far as characters go I tend to shy away from being anyone of too much importance. I personally have always been drawn to the side kicks in a story rather than the main character and I tend to make side-kick type characters myself. I tend to play with quirks and enjoy being silly in my RP... to a certain degree. While I can be silly and outrageous my characters always have a reason behind an action that they do.

What country do you come from? What is your primary language?:
United States, English

How did you get into Warcraft?:
My best friend at the time forced a 10 day trial down my throat... haven't gone back since xD

What made you seek our server over others? (Or how did you find us?):
A friend of mine from the server I played on referred me. His toon that I RP'd with is Balverine on ally side. He plays Zeein horde side I do believe.

What kinds of role play do you enjoy?:
I enjoy most kinds of role play. I am fairly open minded and as long as I'm having fun and things make sense I go with the flow.

What is your favorite race/class? Why?:
Hard one... at the moment I am enjoying a human Paladin. Mostly because I enjoy healing and I like to work quirks in. Mine happens to be a backwater hick who is just -trying- to be a paladin and usually failing.

What are your expectations of this server?:
Umm I expect to role play and have an enjoyable time. Unfortunately with my work schedule I miss most of the RP with my guild on my regular server.

Out of all of our rules and regulations listed on our server, which appeals to you the most?:
I'd have to say the Maturity 'rule' is probably my favorite. I can't tell you how many times I have had to step in and play 'mommy' for some guild members who cannot act maturely or work things out themselves.

Lastly, tell us a story! It can be short, it can be long; but most importantly, we want to see your work in action. Go!:
Well... I'm not sure if you wanted an emote style or not.. but you said a story. I'm going to put a snippet I wrote for my paladin up then... enjoy.

Ondria looked around the square, blue eyes taking in all the different types wandering about. The usual screaming matches by the lamp post, some laughter by the fountain, couples snuggled together on the benches while clergymen and women loitered about on the steps or inside, keeping busy and trying to keep the violence to a minimum.

She kept a rather bland smile on her face as she just observed, nodding to those who acknowledged her first but otherwise keeping to herself. Deflated would probably be a word to describe her. Gone was that spark of excitement in her eyes, the aura of energy that she used to exude. No longer was she surrounded by friends, laughing joyfully or picking fights like the others. One by one they seemed to have drifted away from her. Or was it she who drifted from them? Was it her fault they were no longer as close as they used to be?

A soft sigh escaped her as she scanned the square once more. Spotting the familiar armor of one of them, she raised a hand in greeting. A real smile formed on her lips only to freeze in place as they gave a small wave back and continued on. Perhaps it was her. She had been so focused on her own desires and wants that she had left them behind.

Her eyes followed the man to where he met up with the others. She used to be there, she could picture it in her mind. Standing with them and making some stupid comment that had them teasing or poking fun at her. Her heart lurched painfully with the longing to go there and just fit in but she didn’t know how. Just the mere thought of it gave her pause, uncertainty creeping into her gut and staying her feet.

Rooted in place, Ondria continued to watch them. They hadn’t changed, not one bit. It was her. It wasn’t worth it, leaving them behind. Seeking out her wants and wishes had gone nowhere. She knew it wouldn’t. Why did she place so much in her hope that things would turn out differently? Fools hope. She supposed it fit, really. Fool would be a good word to describe her.

They had wandered off together, turning the corner and leaving her sight. The lumps of uncertainty and longing settled into the pit of her stomach, resting there like rocks and making her feel rather sick. She tore her eyes away from the spot her friends had been, staring blankly about the square once more.

Yes, deflated was perhaps a suitable word.

Her eyes caught sight of Gramps. Again that surge of happiness and hope. Her feet started moving her forward, long strides carrying her across the busy street towards the man. Halfway there, finally someone she could--. She stopped once more, seeing Leoshi arrive and the two smile so lovingly at each other. Her hand was to her stomach and Gramps was beaming so proudly.

Jealousy tore through her, adding another rock in the pit of her stomach. They wouldn’t really need her with a baby on the way. They would be very busy with it. Of course they loved her, she knew this with no doubt in her mind but she was a grown woman. The baby needed them more.

Swallowing hard she stood in place, watching them converse and be in love. Another stone added to the pile. Envy. Why did it seem that she would never achieve that simple joy of family again? No, it was a fact she had come to terms with long ago, there was no place for this envy in her.

Perhaps deflated wasn’t quite the right word.

A hand fell to the intricate golden hilt of her blade, gripping it tightly as she turned away from the sight before her. It wasn’t long until her eyes followed suit, tracing the designs absently as warmth and sorrow filled her. She wished she could be angry but it was her own fault. She should have known better than to set her heart on something that far out of her reach.

How long until they were to be married? She hadn’t heard anything about it but that was hardly surprising. He had been busy of late with the battles and chaos of running the League. A vague resentment bubbled up in her, adding to the already heavy negative feelings settling into her. Maybe she shouldn’t attend… No she couldn’t do that. They would be expecting her there. She knew they would be hurt if she wasn’t.

Another painful lurch of the heart, picturing their disappointed faces at her refusal. No, she would be there, smiling because she loved them both; cheering and wooping because she was so happy for them even as her own heart filled with disappointment and sorrow. A small huff of pitiful laughter escaped her.

Deflated was not the word. She was lonely.

There really was no other way to say it. She would never admit it to anyone else. It was shameful enough to admit even to herself. Ondria, the sunshine and laughter of the steps so long ago that had effortlessly brought so many to her, lonely. This was definitely not something was would leave the confines of her own mind.

The blonde woman jumped slightly as a cool and even voice came from her com, “Ondria, it is time for your lesson.”

A relieved smile crossed her face, a distraction. “Kay! Meet y’there soon Miss Tahi.”

Is there anything else you would like to add, ask, or otherwise clarify?:
I suppose the only question I have is do we post an approval for each character... but I'm sure as I continue on and read more stuff I shall answer it on my own :P

Hello Mesphia, welcome to CotH.

If you haven't done so yet, it's worth glancing over our Wiki to take a look at the rules, see our guidelines for making a character and perhaps even look over a few approved profiles while you're there.

Thank you for the story. You seem like a nice person, frankly. I honestly smiled when I read that your parents were into that sort of thing.
It's not necessary to approve each character, unless you want them to be levelled to 80. If you do not approve a character, the highest level they may reach is 50.

We hope you enjoy your time here. Feel free to PM me if you have any further queries, and I'll do my best to answer.
