You know the trial bit? 15 warnings and you get a trial etc...etc.
Who would be the judge of such things?
Would it be the highest ranking officer (( I know our Lt. Colonel and higher has the same powers of a judge/Magistrate over 'military law' )) Or would we need a tottally new person to become a judge?
And apart from this, I think its all good to go! may as well start implimenting it now?
And just sort out the guard and get those who are in it to join the 'guild' Then sort out who's going to be in training.
And in all fairness i reccomend that there is;
Me, Lirry, Sudara and Lucia who are the 'expiereinced guards';
Apart from me being the one who hasnt been in for the longest but i get involved in everything. We can be the 'Instructors'
Again i commend your initiative for the rules and such. Even if it was 'borrowed' still show's initiative.

I say that we bring in someone from outside the Guard, one that wouldn´t be biased. I´ll look around for someone who could maybe create a judge character, be it alt or main.
The trial could most easily go through with the Guard having someone providing evidence aginst the criminal and the criminal trying to defend himself, with or without an attorney and then the judge decides the outcome.

I disagree partly with this, reading Eagle´s and Lirry´s profiles it seems both of them are new (and in fact your character would basicly still be in training seeing as he is only 18 years old) so I recommend that they are put in as recruits, or guards at most.
Lucia and me have been discussing her character and at the moment we´re trying to figure out how long/what she´s been doing for the guards etc.
Then there´s Friedrich who is a war veteran and Knight-Captain, though that would be part of the Alliance army I think. So question is, would that rank be translated to the Guard? Maybe, are army officers who join a police force given an officer rank upon joining?
Then there´s Sudara, originally when I created him there were only one other Stormwind Guard (that I remember at least) and that was Lucia. Being sergeant is not something that is important to Sudara as a character and I can retcon that if it´s wanted.
Regardless I think it could be a good idea to keep players from creating to many Guards with high ranks, more fun if you earn it in-game, aye?

I would be more then happy to make a Pally/Priest to be the Judge, but thats up to you guys, if needed, just ask me, being as how Brom is like close to cap anyway :P so its not a problem at all.

We really cant have anyone who's got a char in the stormwind guard really, you could be bias, if you get what i mean =]

I'm not going to volunteer to be judge.. I just wanted to ask.. If I made a Paladin would I still be able to get into the Guard?

If you passed selection and training then yes. Where not just going to accept anyone into the guard. Am i right?

Correct there is training as well as drafting involves, Leth and i had to work hard ot get the trust from Lucia and Friedrich to be accepted as Trainees. There is also a large amount of drilled training that you have to keep up with, as well as a good understanding of the set laws of the city.

Though to be honest, i would reccomend Military for a Paladin, as a Knight or whatnot, would be a bit more fulfilling, and there are not many of such, im acctually intending on Switching to Active military status after acceptance ect. As well as a little time spent within the guard. And Eagle, you online?

Yes, several do, but, i would reccoment wearing it as much as possible, makes a better impression.

I suggest we hold a sort of election (either an OOC or IC one, maybe even both) for this seat of power, I can safely assume things will get pretty disoriented quickly if we do not choose someone that is mature, that is at least decently knowledgeable about the law and how it works and a calm personality.

Err the BEST way, is to talk to Either Friedrich or Eagle, who can then point you where to go (Probobly Lucia) who will then have a look at you and test you, you pass, then she will decide weither or not to let you become a trainee. All of which is fairly hard work.

Im online, just not in game, I hate waiting for level 70, makes me upset (rofl) so im just waiting.
aye we'll hold an election, though at the 'current' Time -Everyone- Is the same rank. Except for the -new- guards there gonna be considered as recruits if im right.
Sudara is 'acting' Officer in charge while he sorts stuff out.
And when he does, The guard' is going to take on a whole new look.
According to the book that was printed for the guard anywhom, which i've memorized because im sad like that. :P
