Kostus wiped away the beads of sweat on his forehead before slamming his mace against the training post again, using his momentum to duck down as the wooden arm swung towards him. Spinning on his heels, the young man then smashed the mace onto the wooden dummy, jumping up to avoid the spinning 'leg' that would attempt to trip him. Fatigue overtook him however, as his reactions were dulled. The piece of wood swung against the side of his leg, sweeping him off his feet. Kostus yelped as he lost his grip on the mace, falling onto his back with a thud and groaning as the handle of the mace fell onto his chest. "O-ouch..." A light brown dog barked, running over to the fallen man to lick his face. "G-gah! Latte, s-stop it! I need to finish the training session." Kostus sighed as he gently nudged the dog away, ignoring it's whining as he picked up his mace and began to attack the training post.

Kostus grunted as he dropped the mace, before checking the straps on his plate armor. He slowly got onto the ground, supporting himself with his arms. The man closed his eyes, breathing in once before lowering himself to the ground slowly, then pushing himself back up. This routine continues on for several minutes, Kostus taking a break after every set. "Ninety eight...Ninety nine...One hundred!" The young elf gritted his teeth as he slowly got to his feet, shakily strapping the mace onto his back again. Kostus panted for several minutes before smiling at the dog. "Go home Latte, I'll feed you tomorow okay? I need to go home to rest for now." With that, the man walks off towards the Royal Exchange. After several minutes of walking, the man finally reaches his house. The lock makes a soft 'Klack' noise as it's unlocked, the door creaking like always. The man stumbles inside as he quickly unstraps his set of armor and hangs it up on the dummy again. He brushes the sweat away from his eyes before glancing at the tub. "...A bath would be nice."

Kostus sighed as he smoothed out the blanket onto the floor, drapping another one over it afterwards. "...Four blankets to cushion me...It can't be...that bad can it?" Kostus sighed as he shrugged, walking over to drop the pillow down and slowly crawl into his makeshift bed. He shifts around for a few minutes, in obvious discomfort before sighing. "...This...is good for me. You don't see the main character always getting a nice bed when he's on an adventure." The elf sighed as he slowly closes his eyes, sleep slowly overcoming him. "Good...night mom. Good night...dad. Good...night...Ve-..." The man falls asleep before completing his sentence, quickly beggining to snore lightly.

The young elf winced as a drop of water splashed onto the top of his head, quickly fanning the air in front of his nose. "...I-I don't...recall walking through s-sewers as one of the t-things that Blood Knights were s-supposed to do when I r-read the job d-description." Kostus sighed as he tightened his grip on the handle of the lantern, carefully wading through the sewers while looking around. The elf stopped as the vent under him creaked dangerously. "O-Oh...oh d-dea-" Kostus didn't get the opportunity to finish his sentence before falling through the rusted metal and into the lower levels of the sewer. "WAAAHHHH!" Kostus landed with a thud, dropping the lantern and wincing as he struggled to regain his footing. The elf reached around with squinted eyes for his lantern before tapping the leg of a giant crocolisk.

"...H-Hello...I-I just...S-S-Sorry for...intr-truding..." Kostus' eyes widened as the reptile slowly opened it's jaws and hissed. The elf quickly scrambled to his feet, grabbing his lantern and beggining to sprint off into the opposite direction. "Someone help! Please! Anyone! I'm too young to die!" The elf, in his panic loses his footing on the slippery floor, and crashes onto his stomach. The crocolisk is on him in an instant, lunging forward to bite him. Kostus screamed once, kicking out to hit at the tip of the beast's jaw. Not seeming to be fazed by the assault, the crocolisk lurches forward again. This time, Kostus retracts his legs and crawls forward desperately. Kostus rolled onto his side, only to slide right towards the side of the reptile. Screaming in fear, he reaches out to latch onto the closest thing possible. Now stuck on an enraged animal, the young elf was forced into a real life rodeo as it thrashed around in an attempt to get him off of itself. In a final move of desperation, Kostus began to hammer the top of the crocolisk's head. This only served to irritate the beast more as it began to thrash around even more. Several moments passed as Kostus clung desperately onto it's back before finally noticing it's exposed eyes. He paused for a moment before closing his eyes, and reaching over to poke the beast's eyes. He was quickly flung off it's back, and into the side of the tunnel, crying out in pain before slowly opening his eyes. Blinded, the crocolisk began to lash out at the air in front of it. Taking the opportunity, Kostus quickly snatched up his lantern, and began to run for his life.

Kostus opens the book, pulling out a pen as he sips idly from a bottle of mango juice. Beads of sweat slowly make their way down the sides of his face, the room that the man is in overly stuffy.

Quote: Day 2, Stranglethorn Vale, Salty Sailor

Despite this only being the second day that I've been here, I'm already beginning to hate this place. The humidity is enough to erode leather and the heat... by the sun, the heat is enough to drive anyone up the wall. I had come here with a mage, for convenience's sake. I can't imagine having to take a boat back to Silvermoon, I think that would be enough to drive me insane. It's currently a few hours past twelve in the afternoon, I think the sun's at it's peak. I'm afraid we haven't done much but lay on the beds and pant so far. In total, we've already ordered twelve glasses of iced water, and five mugs of juice. We're considering the thought of asking for a barrel of ice, but that might melt too fast... When I thought this would be an easy job... I was so wrong. I thought it would be nice to take a break from Eversong, but I'd take the constant Spring time rather than this type of weather. Honestly, I don't even know why they bother supply beds. It's not as if I could sleep in this weather, or with the non-stop chatter down at the bar. The sooner I find a lead on her location the better, though at this rate, I have a feeling I won't be going back for a while. The only paper that's been passed on to me since I got here was an advertisement for female 'company'. Regardless, I think I'll take her advice and try sleeping without clothes on this time. After all, I woke up with my shirt soaked, and it rains too much for my to dry it outside...
