Hey, you. Yeah You. Let's be friends. Or enemies. Or acquaintances. Or something.
#1
Over the past few months a good deal of the people I've regularly RPed with have vanished from the server. While in recent weeks I have been actively seeking out new RP friends (both IC and OOC), I'm gonna make this thread here to expand my search. Assuming anyone looks or even replies to it. I have a history of making threads that die.

SO. THE CHARACTERS. In the past I've made personals asking for specific types of characters to RP with to help further development of my character's personal arcs in ways that interest me, but they never got much attention. Now I'm just gonna list all my characters and describe them, and if you see anything about any of them that interest you, then say so and dammit we will RP somehow or another.

THE MAINS
Mains are the characters I RP on the most and are most known for playing. They're well developed and most all of them have a personal storyline they're involved in.

Cristovao di Silvio
My human paladin, from Lordaeron. Cristovao is an Old Alliance boy at heart, his father one of the original Silver Hand paladins, and having grown up in the Capital City, he was friends with humans, dwarfs, and elves (maybe gnomes too). As far as paladins go, Cristovao isn't exactly what you'd expect from them. He's hardly vindictive, and can be trusting and forgiving of people to a fault. He's firm in his faith to the Light, always looking for a chance to help others with it (read: he's Holy spec IC). He's known to pick up the sword and board to protect others (read: his IC off spec is Prot), but in recent times he's been focused on furthering his magical abilities. Cristovao is friendly and outgoing, and somewhat of a smartass, but he means well. For hobbies, Cristovao is an amateur scholar and writer, favoring poetry. He speaks fluent dwarvish and Thalassian, but his Thalassian is heavily accented, having learned it from Lordaeron/Dalaran elves and not Quel'Thalas natives. Cristovao holds a strong affinity for anyone who holds the Old Alliance values dear, especially humans and dwarfs, and he has an almost naive obsession with learning about the Draenei because of their closeness to the Light. He also has an affinity for the Titans and their connection to Azeroth, piquing his curiosity. He's formulating a personal theory that the now largely forgotten "Light god" is in fact a Titan, a Titan who may very well be the legendary and mythical Tyr of the Silver Hand lore.

He is currently mixed on his opinions about the Horde. He thinks Orcs have a respectable culture, but dislikes them for their unforgiving and (in his opinion) short-sighted attitude towards humans. He is mixed on the issue of Forsaken, torn three ways between pitying them as victims, accepting them as brothers of Lordaeron, or despising them for what they've become. He considers blood elves victims of circumstance during the Third War and holds no ill will towards them, but is ignorant of the culture of Quel'Thalas elves, having learned all he knows of elves from Lordaeron and Dalaran elves. He holds no strong feelings on tauren or trolls either way, though he considers trolls as primitive and savage just because of their reputation throughout history.

Hrodebert Rivermouth
Dwarf hunter and all around man of adventure. Hrodebert is half Wildhammer, half Bronzebeard dwarf, and shares a mix of their cultures for it. He's intelligent and well versed in Engineering, although he lacks any real understanding of the more magical faces of it (read: Gnomish and Elven engineering), opting for the more practical, dependable, robust Dwarven styles. He's also a man of the wilderness, appreciating nature and wildlife, and makes his living typically as a game hunter who sells animal goods to settlements. He's a master of sharpshooting, and quite the afficiando of customized weapons, sporting several rifles, pistols, and explosives to solve his problems. Hrodebert enjoys artistic pursuits as well, something of a closet critic of music and artisan crafts, though he himself lacks any real ability to perform either. For all his intellectual abilities, though, Hrodebert is quite unprofessional in his demeanor, and his friendly, countryside sensibilities can come off as rude. He's not much for long-winded discussions or beating around the bush, he likes to get to the point.

In the past, Hrodebert served in both the Second and Third Wars as a soldier. During the Second War, he met the High Elven Al'Salma family, who were wealthy merchants and tradesmen, and as a consequence, met the daughter of the patriarch, Jami. After the Second War, they courted and were married. They lived happily in various places, once owning country homes in Eversong Woods, the Hinterlands, and Loch Modan, as well as a small city apartment in Dalaran. Hrodebert dropped out of the Alliance military during the Third War on account of Stratholme's culling, and the subsequent Scourge invasion and Blood Elf movements robbed him of much he had good in life. Until recently, he lived reclusively on the Arathi coastline with Jami, but has since come to terms with the changing world and is emboldened to face it.

Hrodebert holds no strong feelings one way or another towards the nature of the Alliance or the Horde anymore. The once-proud Alliance soldier has become jaded by the flip-flop politics of recent times that have caused him and his wife much grief. That said, he doesn't hold high expectations for the likes of Orcs, Trolls, or Forsaken, especially the last two.

Madugo
Troll shaman and pacifist, constantly seeking new wisdom from both the spirits of the world and his gods. Madugo was just coming of age when the Orcs rescued the Darkspear trolls, and has since then assimilated much of their culture and augmented it into his own. He even performed an Om'Riggor ritual to officially make him a "man of the Horde", in which he and an orc friend of his (also performing his Om'Riggor) trekked across the Barrens foolhardily on foot, venturing off the roads, getting lost, and fighting off the dangerous wildlife all in the name of proving themselves. (Rumors abound that they brought forth a Felstalker hoof each to their elders, which earned their respect despite the exceptional unorthodox nature of their ritual). Since then, he's happily adopted orcish shamanism, but while on the surface he seems to copy their ways entirely, in truth Madugo combines their ways with his people's native Voodoo worship. having been raised by his father to be a soothsayer and witch doctor of the greatest stock, Madugo is very familar with each of the Loa and worships them all reverently. His personal belief is that the spirits have an association with the Loa, due to them having very similar natures, and seeks to expand his knowledge on that matter, despite how heretical this might seem to both other shamans of the Orcs and Tauren, as well as bondafied Troll practitioners of Voodoo.

Madugo is also a father of several (eight... or was it nine? Dammit, even I can't keep track anymore) children, all sired with his mate, Asul'na, a troll huntress. He seeks to raise them all in the ways of both the Horde and the trolls, his oldest daughter, Isa, showing promise in shamanism at the age of nine. His other children are too young and immature to truly grasp or appreciate their father's efforts, their hyperactive natures leading them to play hard wherever they are taken. Aside from his endless search of spiritual enlightenment, Madugo is an accomplished alchemist and medicine man, well versed in natural troll remedies, and enjoys fishing for a hobby, though he's a pretty terrible cook. Madugo is also something of a closet womanizer, though he'll never take on a second mate (partially out of adopting orcish monogamy, and partially out of fear for provoking Asul'na's jealousy), he will gladly and enthusiastically talk about women with other guys... even old perverts like Mahen'Tosh.

Madugo, in keeping with his pacifist nature, holds no feelings toward the Alliance. He feels his talents are better contributed towards other things than warfare, and is not a terribly good fighter himself at any stretch. Though he commands the elements and spirits quite powerfully, he does not put them to use in combat. Being a wholesome supporter of the Horde, however, he eagerly bonds with any brother troll, orc, or tauren that comes his way.

Aryeon Sunsong
His family name abandoned and unknown to all but a select few, Aryeon is an elven High Priest of the Light of ancient age and extreme ability. At his behest, it is said to be capable of curing any ailment and healing any wound. He has spent his entire priesthood spreading the good will of the Light to the secluded, the impoverished, and the sickly, foregoing the bureaucratic and snobbish nature of a desk job usually associated with the higher echelons of Church power. Aryeon, above anything else, believes in the embodiment of the Virtues of the Light, and is a sympathetic and compassionate man, wanting nothing more than to better the lives of those who are worse off than he. Beneath this golden outlook, however, lives a stressed and scorned soul. While Aryeon's compassion for people is indeed genuine, he has come to really loathe his own race for the foolish choices they've made in recent history. He abhors the Blood Elf movement, he's disgusted he ever took Fel into his body, even just to give him the strength needed to heal the dying victims of the Scourge, the formation of the Blood Knights repulses him as it went against the very nature of why be brought people to the Light to begin with, the enslavement of the Naaru, the rise of warlockery, and overall lack of concern for the well-being of their society and culture has jaded Aryeon's feelings about his brother elves to his very core. He openly speaks against these choices at every given opportunity, putting him even further at odds against the nobility and high society of Silvermoon.

While Aryeon is an elf of the Old Alliance, he is not against the Horde in the least. While he feels that his people were better in the hands of the Alliance, he finds that the Horde is full of respectable, hard working people, which he earnestly admires. He especially likes the company of wisened orcs, their to-the-point natures a refreshing change of pace compared to his experiences over the centuries with bureaucratic complications in Elven society. Needless to say, an Elf priest who enjoys the company of orcs raises some eyebrows. Beyond orcs, he sympathizes with the Forsaken as former humans of Lordaeron, some of them he even knew in life before the coming of the Scourge, and he hopes they find true respite and peace in the future. In keeping with his Old Alliance upbringing, Aryeon still enjoys the company of man and dwarf, but finding such men and dwarfs who return the sentiments are far and wide.

THE ALTS
Alts are characters I play usually to fill in niche RP, or they are supporting characters meant to further develop a storyline for my mains. That said, every alt is "upgradeable" to Main status should they get enough RP and develop well, and just because they're alts does not mean I want to RP them any less.

Du'guro
Du'guro is another troll, the xenophobic, traditionalist old father of Madugo. In his prime, Du'guro was among the most skilled berserkers of the Darkspear tribe. He raised his only son, Madugo, to be the perfect witch doctor, out of gratitude for the Loa for blessing him with a son (he long spent many years trying to sire a child and failed). When the Sea Witch endangered the trolls, though, Du'guro had to put aside his son's upbringing to try and save his people. He took many injuries in the meantime, reducing his abilities. That, alongside his age, has reduced Du'guro's greatness, but where his physical abilities have been limited, his skills are just as sharp as ever, and can still fight fairly well, something he takes great pride in. Du'guro is fanatically loyal to the old ways of the trolls, especially to the gods, and sees Orcish influences over his people as heretical and disgusting. He considers the spirits to be lesser than the Loa, for they aren't gods, and thinks the Orcish dislike of troll customs and rituals stems from ignorance and selfishness. That said, Du'guro does respect their strength in arms and is grateful to their salvation of his people, but that's all the respect he will give them. Otherwise, he spends his time trying to locate his son, Madugo, which he abandoned out of foolish spite when the formation of the Horde seemed to destroy what hopes he had of his people's ways being preserved. Now he's returned to make amends and see what kind of man his son has become.

Du'guro pretty much hates everyone and everything that isn't trollish in nature. He finds Orcs arrogant as well as ignorant, and hates how they've changed Troll society. He thinks the Tauren are bufoonish and too easily placated. He considers the Forsaken to be an ungodly abomination of nature that dishonor what little good name the Horde holds for him, and obviously he hates elves just because. He equally hates humans and dwarfs and night elves for much the same reasons, and just doesn't give a damn about the Draenei, knowing nothing about them. Despite all of this, Du'guro is capable of compassion and truly loves his only son... it's just all hidden underneath his bigotry and biases.

Gantrithor
A draenei ex-vindicator who forsake the use of the Light until he considers his own personal abilities and body strong enough to be worthy of using it again. Once a proud hero who patrolled Nagrand keeping the villages safe, he was powerless to stop the Orcish bloodlust. He regrouped at Shattrath and was one of the group captains involved in the hold out against the Orcs while the civilians escaped to Zangarmarsh, wanting to exercise a plan to lure the Orcs into the city and then retreat in the back to regroup with the civilians, but in the chaos of battle, his order never got through, and his entire unit died along with the rest of the victims of Shattrath. He ventured alone to regroup with the Draenei, and from that day on he took on his vows to make himself stronger, abandoning his title of vindicator. When the Alliance came to Draenor, Gantrithor sought them out, admiring their ability at fighting the Horde. He joined the forces of Honor Hold, and become one of them, adopting the cultures of the Alliance. Since then, Gantrithor has become a stalwart supporter of the Draenei's fealty to the Alliance, and carries the honor being an Alliance soldier with great pride. Gantrithor is head strong and very bold, always looking for ways to improve himself, always on the road to redeem his past failures. He is an accomplished blacksmith, often creating things in a fusion of Alliance and Draenei styles, including his adamantite armor.

Gantrithor, as previously mentioned, greatly loves the Alliance for the hope they gave him and his people as a way of surviving and destroying the Legion, as well as their shared culture of the Light. Every aspect of them fascinates him, and he tries his best to fit in, going as far as to try and drink with dwarfs (which never goes well). He outright despises the Horde for they are a foundation made by orcs. Even with the knowledge that the Orcs were deceived by the Legion, Gantrithor can not bring himself to forgive them entirely. He will never outright attack an Orc out of spite (doing so he feels would dishonor being an Alliance knight, for such impulses are characteristic of the savage Horde to him), but he will not be friendly or accepting of them. Blood elves he views as traitors who went to the wrong side, believing they have abandoned their brothers in the Light. On the side note, he sympathizes with High elves, comparing their plight to his people's own.

Hercynian Dreamseer
An ancient druid from before the Sundering, Hercynian can only be described as lazy, uncaring, and aloof. He spends much of his time meditating in the forests, improving his mastery over the forces of nature, and that's about it. Otherwise, he's often found sleeping anywhere, and I mean ANYwhere. Like under a rock. Or in a bush. Or submerged in a stream. Or on a plain of grass. The guy embodies "oneness with nature" to an extreme, and rarely goes out of his way to change things. He believes nature will find a way, that the world will always preserve itself if left to its own devices. This is either exceptional wisdom, or exceptional laziness, and which is true is debatable. He holds absolutely no fear for any animal of the wild, having insects, spiders, and even birds nesting in his simple garments and antlers. He has two sons, Kantado and Tikar, which he both dearly loves, but is really, really bad at expressing it. Or really doing anything fatherly, period. This all said, Hercynian is not -impossible- to arouse, but it would take a great circumstance to do so, such example being the Third War. Or probably endangering his sons. Maybe.

Given Hercynian's placable nature and lazy personality, he really doesn't get involved with the affairs of politics or wars. Those trees the orcs cut down will grow back. Those humans his people are allied with will die out in the blink of his lifespan's eye. And thus the world will go on, as it always has, as it always will. Life continues despite the machinations of men.

Langobard Silvermountain
Dwarf death knight, once a proud and noble Thane of the Stormpike clan in Alterac. Langobard spent much of his life living lavishly in the halls of his family, the Silvermountains. He battled the orcs when they came to Alterac, he battled the Scourge when they endangered all he held dear. The powers of the Titans were his to command and with great righteous fury did he command these powers. He dedicated his cause and his family wealth to the cause of the Argent Dawn, and for years he helped battle against the Scourge. Eventually, as all death knights have, he fell, and raised as their own. He attempted to resist the will of the Scourge, but was unable to break free of their grasp until the revolt of Archeus. Now he's but a lone wolf, seeking out Titan artifacts in his ancestral home and in Storm Peaks so that he may redeem his proud name and recover his heritage as a Thane. Given his misfortunes in life and ultimate fall from grace, Langobard has become quite forlorn and melancholy. He speaks with a somber, respectful tone, and for a dwarf is quite eloquent in his mannerisms. He refuses to partake in the typical deeds of death knights, still dressing in his lavish Thane robes and sporting the red and golden colors of the Stormpike clan.

Langobard was, and still fancies himself as, a proud mountain king of the Alliance. In turn, he generally dislikes the races of the Horde, particularly Orcs, having fought with them in Alterac's mountains in his previous life. On the flipside, he mostly just associates himself with dwarfs, finding the other races of the Alliance hard to relate to culturally. At any rate, his recent quest to pursue a means of reclaiming his lost Titan heritage has dominated his mind, and as such he generally just puts aside racial tensions.

And that is that. Let's generate some interest now! This took me four hours to type :(

Update!

Mathieu Rivermouth
A blood elf in name only! Mathieu is the stepson of Hrodebert, and spent most of his childhood in a dwarf-elvish multicultural upbringing. Following the Third War, he too went into isolation alongside his parents, and as a result his teenage was largely wasted. Nowadays he is culturally confused, being neither really dwarvish or elvish in behavior, though he has bits and pieces of both, notably dwarven respect and loyalty, and elvish senses of aesthetics and fashion. He's picked up the studying of psychic shadowmancy, but rather than use his talents for self-gain, he uses them for the better of others. Furthermore, Mathieu attempts to defy conventional logic of using Shadow magic, never forcing himself into the minds of others or taking away their memories. He only lets himself in at the behest of the patient, and subjects himself completely to their minds, no matter how volatile they may become. He is brave and noble in this endeavor, but also rather foolish.

Mathieu's personality is friendly and happy-go-lucky, and outgoing to everyone he meets. He is ignorant of world politics, and believes strongly in judgement of character over judgement of race. Because of this, he is friendly to everyone he meets, despite the potential consequences. He is a true neutral, thinking nothing of either the Alliance or the Horde.

Maeia di Silvio
The undead mother of Cristovao di Silvio, Maeia was once a humble layperson in the church of Holy Light. When the Scourge took her life, she had little else to do, and as a Forsaken she spent many years shambling aimlessly and purposelessly with a fragmented memory and longing for her only son. This all changed when she met Jared Richter of the Black Harvest, and he has since taken her under his wing as an acolyte of the Forgotten Shadow, reinvigorating her with pride as a Forsaken serving a new Lordaeron. She is slowly overcoming her flaws and weaknesses, but she is all in all still a shade of her former self. Apologetic, clumsy, and weak-minded, Maeia still has a long way to go. Her personalty also does not mesh well with the ruthless nature of the undead, which has yet to fully adapt to.

Since joining the Black Harvest, Maeia has become increasingly loyal to the Forsaken cause. She associates the undead with Lordaeron, and it is to that she serves loyally. She knows and cares little for the Horde, and day by day her old ties to the Alliance break away as her compatriots wage war against them in Silverpine forest. While for now she is simply a follower who goes along with it, what can be said about the future... ?

And Leron loves dorfs. He says they make the best rum. I wanna see him explode at Hrod's belf waifu so Hrod can explode at Leron's belf husubandu
