Lokk and I...

Sorry that we've been MIA, I don't know when that will change, but we're still actively reading the boards (usually Lokk, reading over my shoulder)...just terribly busy with school work (end of the grading period is always a stressful time for any faculty member, add that to the week that was lost due to IKE, and students JUST getting electricity and water back this week, etc...).

Additionally, the very very very very tiny amount of time that we HAVE had (we're talking, perhaps an hour per night), we've spent testing the waters in WAR.

<huggles everyone> We miss you guys terribly, and hope to have some extra time on our hands this weekend.

Take it easy, darlings, and focus on what you need to get done! I know it's really important to those kids to have school going on as per normal in such a hectic time, even if they don't realize it.

It's actually rather astounding to see the change in some of them after having to help take care of siblings, grandparents, etc without power and water for over a week. Some of them seem to have seriously grown up.

I'm impressed with how well most of them have handled it! ...now, I just have to grade the piles of make-up work and things we've been doing to try to fill in the gaps. It's hard to explain how one week out can equate to three weeks behind. Hehe.

Ah! I remember that equation...

Uh. You need another week, to make up the first week, which already makes two weeks, then the third week is to get back on track while making up the second week.

Alright, I've done my thinking for today.

And, please, take your time guys! We look forward to your eventual return, but until then, keep safe, and keep up the good work.
