Intermittent Activity

Not quite an absence thread, per say, but more a heads up. Real life has been a drag as of late (what with having lost my job, fighting with Unemployment to get money that I most likely should be receiving, and various other money-related issues that have been putting a strain on my personal life). Until I find new employment, I'm taking the necessary steps to return to my original source of income: freelance web design. Huzzah for erratic clients, inconsistent income, no benefits, and many many long nights working on one site or another.

It's a good thing that I love this shit!

I'm currently in the process of dumping my portfolio on my domain and working on a variety of other projects to showcase my design/coding prowess. I also have one or two clients already lined up, which is always nice. Unfortunately, that also means that my availability for other activities (roleplay, retail, and APB) is going to be hampered. Sorry!

I'll still be lurking on the site and performing regular maintenance-related activities on the wiki. Easiest way to contact me would be through the private messaging system since I've reduced my use of other social media applications and sites in order to focus on the task at hand. If you have any questions, comments, or concerns, please don't hesitate to contact me. Especially if you have someone interested in having a site done!

Thanks, Clovis. It was a bit ago (and after I'd received notice that I was being hired fulltime within the company, too), but the whole money thing is becoming quite an issue. I'm hoping that the whole Unemployment thing gets resolved soon, which may be possible given a recent phone call that I received. I've been doing small projects on the side while waiting and searching for jobs, but perhaps focusing on freelance web design a bit more will bring in some income until everything is settled.

I just need to keep the boyfriend from being such a bleeding heart enabler of his friends! We've been doing mostly fine with what money we had saved up and his paycheck, but every time I turn around he's assisting a friend by handing over money to help one person buy something or purchasing items on their behalves. It's a bit overwhelming at times. I understand wanting to help others, but c'mon, man! We've got our own bills to handle.
