Daichi's Triumph.
#1
Spoiler:
Below is Daichi's final trial, allowing him to become a Blademaster. The purpose of this thread is to collect the achievements of Daichi. More shall be posted when and if they occur ICly

Kisgal enters the ring, her blade lifted in one hand. She looks across the ring to see her student, all grown up, ready to fight her for his title. She remains wordless, and nods to the spectators. Daichi enters himself, the menacing red blade remaining on his back as he keeps his eyes on his master. He pulls the blade off, holding it in his non-dominant hand, bowing his head out of respect. Kisgal shakes her head and begins to walk forward, ever so slowly. "Tradition can wait. We're here to see if you can fight like a blademaster, not to see how well you can kiss my ass. The weaker one strikes first, so hit me!"

Daichi frowns at the words, but knows better then to turn down a first strike. He dashes forward, fast as the wind could carry him as he brings his blade aloft, slashing with a quick strike to her chest. Kisgal quickly parries the strike, bringing it down to her left as she steps right and to the side to get out of range of the blade. She kicks out as his knee! Daichi quickly jumps back, his nimble figure showing his work in his own agility. His face remains calm, his blue eyes staring at his master from behind the wolf mask, quickly moving forward with a onehanded slice, spinning on his foot to add more speed at the price of exposing his shoulder.

The blademaster drops down low and rolls to the side, entirely avoiding the blow. She comes up on his side instead, slashing upwards, trying to open up his ribs. The boy grins slightly, leaning away to lessen the wound. He didn't expect her to be so fast, despite her title. He jumps back, his tabard sliced open to expose bare flesh, a shallow wound trailing up. He closes his eyes for a second, holding the wound as slowly another him forms. For a breif second they both charge, intertwining with each other in an effort to conffuse Kisgal before he slashes down once more, both hands gripping his blade. By then the fake would be known, and fade away.

Kisgal would comment, if she wasn't in a high-speed duel. She rolls backwards again, relying on her agility to keep herself alive. She tumbles, lands upright and on her feet, and charges forward, slashing down at the dominant hand. Daichi brings his blade up, catching it on the back side of his blade, holding himself there before pushing out, using some of his natural strength to push her away before launching a boot to her chest after it. Kisgal the Awesome takes the boot to the chest, using her legs to send herself backwards even farther and to maintain control in the shot. She swipes at his leg with his blade as she goes flying away from said kick. Daichi momentaraly looses his grip on his blade, his left hand slipping off before he spins, moving with the blade long enough to get his grip back, switching the hilt into his right. He dahses forward once again, bringing the blade seemingly across her chest before switching the angle, going strait down.

Kisgal the Excellent feels the blade come down on her chest, slicing right under her neck in a very shallow cut. She pulls back to avoid more damage, but charges back in with ferocity, slicing at his wrists. Daichi smiles at the first cut, shallow as it may be, it showed improvement. But the smile fades as he feels cold steel across his wrists. He jumps back, much like before, clentching and unclentching the hands one after another, keeping a steady grip on his blade, dashing back into the fray once more, bringing the blade strait up in a long arc. The woman goes for a simple manuever, parrying the blade to the side, still one-handed, and uses her other fist to punch at his jaw.

Daichi takes a fist to the face, his head turning with the punch. But he keeps turning, and turning, eventually becoming a flurry of blades, spinning in place at highspeed. Green and Sexy begins to parry each strike at high speeds, matching the strikes. After a few parries, she leaps high into the air to slice downwards at his shoulder from above, trying to avoid the whirlwind entirely. He continues his spin, halfway around when she jumped. He turns still, before noticing she was gone. He looks up quickly, seeing her in the air and bringing her blade down before he pulls his own blade up, catching the sharp steel on his own, somewhat buckling below the blow. But his feet set into the ground, allowing him to use his strength once again to push her back and off.

Kisgal lands on her feet and ducks low, rearing her blade back to free it from the strike. Before he can make a move, she rolls between his legs and pops up behind him. She grabs his hair and pulls, bringing the blade to his neck with incredible, unearthly speed. She pulls hard on his hair and growls at him, bringing the blade up to quickly flip the wolf mask off his head. The mask flys away, the wolf-face landing in the sand, staring up at the cealing with empty eyes. Daichi starts to growl himself, his head back, his neck exposed. His shining blue eyes dart over his shoulder to see his master, his hand tight on his blade as he continues to scan for a way out of this. He finds none however.

The woman lifts her blade away and places it on her back, in its sheath. "You are defeated, but it was not all for nothing. Wait here."

She walks to her entrance, and disappears in the shadows. The pup brings a hand to his throat, rubbing it gently as he grips his sword tighter. But he relax's his grip, sheathing the blade once more in the chain loops on his back. he makes no move to retreive his wolf mask. His hands and side are still bleeding.

Kisgal returns, and kneels before her student. She calls out to the arena, a sashimono presented before him in her arms. "You are now a blademaster, Daichi Windwalker. Do your people proud."

He takes the Sashimono, a small smile forming on his face before he holds it aloft, the banner displaying the symbol of the horde. Kisgal rises and bows before her former student, and then exits. No more words are needed. Daichi pulls on the Sashimono, walking to retreive his mask. The runt places the white wolf once more on his face and exits a Bladeamster.

Spoiler:
Below is the duel of Gatwazzak and Daichi. Enjoy!

The Ring of Valor is once again home to a duel. But this one much more private. In the ring stands two foes. Gatwazzak, an one-eyed Troll Shaman, and Daichi, the Orc runt Blademaster. They stand across from one another in the sandy ring, watched upon by only two spectators. Rekka the Wrekka, an Orc Warrior, and Grazbek, a Troll Headhunter.

Gatwazzak grins a bit and nods, stretching his back, feeling his bones pop, closing his eyes for a few seconds, and letting out a deep breath. Daichi cracks his knuckles, rolling his shoulders and pulling his blade free. "Lets see if you can keep up."

Gatwazzak grins over at him, gripping his fists tight, the ground beneath them shuddering a bit.The troll's grin widens, suddenly shifting his fists slightly, the sand beneath Diachi suddenly softening, hopefully pulling his feet down into it before it hardens. The sprinting towards him, sending a hard kick to his face. Daichi himself grins, ready to charge forward and beat the he- Sand? The sand sinks below him, forcing him to try to get his footing again, only to get sparta kicked by a troll. To the face. He fly's backwards none too gracefully, landing with a thud. But he gets himself up quick, charging with the speed Blademasters are known for, none to happy about being tripped up as he slashes out.

Gatwazzak moves his body to the right, pushing his palm upwards, a stone bursting up, clashing with Daichi's blade. He brings his body down low, the fire from the torches around them suddenly flaming up, slashing out towards Daichi as he ducks down low to avoid it. The orc blinks, looking around at the incoming fire before doing the one thing he can think of. He spins. His blade lashes out, him becoming a mini tornado, a small amount of sand kicking up in the air as the fire hits. At first it seems the fire was stuck, but suddenly the fire starts to spin with him. A small grin forms on his face as he turns to use this, taking a well placed step closer to the troll, bringing the burning cyclone close enough to burn him, bringing the blade once more across his blue chest before stopping, him and his blade smoking, his fingers singed and somewhat burnt.

Rekka watches intently, smiling to herself. "...See, tha's neat."

Grazbek kept his eyes locked on the battle, even though he said, in a high enough voice for Rekka to hear "An' ah 'aven't tried killin' ja." he commented upon Rekka's previous remark, even though obviously focused on the duel.

Rekka snorts. "'N I ain' chopped yer 'ead off neither."

Gatwazzak blinks and snarls loud as he sees the fire, clenching his fists as he sends forward a blast of air, blowing the fire away. Though, while he was worried about the fire, he gets slashed across his chest. The large troll suddenly does a flip back to gain some distance from the blades, looking down at his bleeding chest. He grins a bit, then slams his foot down onto the ground, a large boulder pushing up from the ground. He sends a hard fist forward, sending the boulder hurling towards the Blademaster. The runt blinks, bringing his blade up quickly. A loud shrieking noise is heard as rock meets blade, but the expertly crafted and enchanted blade wins, cutting through the single rock. Daichi grins, winking at Gatwazzak.

Rekka shrugs, still wathcing the fight. "Ya wouldn' be th'first I beat wi' one 'it," she says airily. The Headhunter smirks "It be called deceipt."

"Not if'n yer insides be 'angin' out."

Gatwazzak snorts at the runt, grinning as he brings his palms up, standing upon a stone column. Daichi perks a brow, gazing up at the Shaman. ".. Runnin away?"

Gatwazzak grins wide before he flips down off the column, standing behind it. He swipes his palms across it several times, large cuts sectioning off each piece before sending rapid punches at the sections of stone, sending each one hurling towards him.

The orc is taken aback, blinking and jumping back only to allow himself time to charge forward, his speed matching the rocks and allowing him to run in between them. He dodges most, only cutting the last one in half, only several feet away from him. A small grin forms as he dashes one more, bringing his blade across in a deadly arc for that blue neck.

The female orc watches intently, grinning some. "See, I wanna do that."

The troll headhunter scoffs, leaning back. "'N I wanted to recognise 'erbs! Not anymoa'."

"Eh?"

"Everebode' 'as their dreams a' sum poin'," the troll points out. "Dey can melt overnigh'."

Gatwazzak pushes his arms up, rocks pulling up to wrap around his arms, covering them in a light shield. The stone prevents him from being cut, but he still gets sent back from the impact. He coughs, then grins and jumps up, sending forward a hard gust of wind, the wind picking up a large amount of sand, sending it at Daichi to distract him as he clenches his own fist, sending it forward, a large rod in the ground attempting to slam into Daichi's gut.

The female frowns. "...I be learnin' 'ow. I will."

The Headhunter only shrug. "Ah be su'p'ised ja be abandonin' de traditional style o'combat fo' an 'uman s'ord. Ah still rememba' ou' spa'."

Rekka grunts, offended. "T'ain't a 'uman thing."

"Bu' s'ords be."

"We 'ad 'em a'fore we me th'humans."

Daichi spins once more, moving to clear the sand before it blinded him only to find a rock in the gut. He slides backwards, doubled over and starting to loose grip on his sword as he drops to a knee, trying to catch his breath. Gatwazzak pants a bit before he lets out a deep breath, closing his eyes for a moment to calm himself before he opens them, dashing at Daichi's resting form. He brings his palms up, trying to wrap stone around his arms to hold him down before he sends a hard knee towards his face.

The orc remains still, his body resting. Suddenly he jumps up, bringing his blade once more across that blue chest, ignoring the rocks completely. Gatwazzak blinks a bit as he sees the blade coming towards him, closing his eyes as he waits for the sting of the blade, only to open then seconds later, blinking as he sees the copy go through him. He growls in outrage, bringing his arms up, a large gust of wind sending sand blasting all over the arena, aside from a pocket of air around him as he stares around, looking for the solid figure.

The Blademaster had freed himself by then, using the distraction and his own speed to get behind the troll, ready to bring the blade down when the wind kicked up, knocking him back, his blade loosening from his grip. He growls, turning to run after it, grabbing it with his right hand instead of his left.

Gatwazzak spins around, bringing a palm up to pull a large wall of stone up, dashing at Daichi before he sends a kick at the wall, sending it flying towards Daichi. The orc blinks, frowning. He grits his teeth, bringing his sword up and.. He fly's backwards. There is a large thud as wall meets orc. He and the wall of rock fall, him lying on top of it, clearly hurt.

Rekka squints, craning her neck to see. Gatwazzak brings his palm up once more, bringing the wall from under him, putting above only to let it crumble into small pebbles, onto Daichi. He backs up a bit, clenching his fists, getting ready for him.

"Ya kill 'im, Gat, 'n I'ma rip yer 'ead off!" The female orc was standing by then, yelling loudly at the troll. Gatwazzak grins a bit, ignoring her. Daichi stirs, rousing himself to his knees. Pain was there, his left arm seemed to be shattered by the way it was hanging off of his shoulder. Cuts and bruises were apparent from a distance. But still he stood. His mask was gone, thrown off form the launch backwards, his blue eyes pained, but focused. He charges forward, starting with a small limp before pushing past it, picking up his speed once more, his blade now in a reverse grip, the hilt pressed along his forearm. He lashes out, bringing about what looked like a punch, only to become a bladed forearm to the trolls chest.

The shaman blinks as he sees his arm, beginning to say something before he sees him beginning to sprint towards him, starting to get into a combat stance before he feels the pain of a blade across his chest, as well as being thrown back. He snarls in pain, but roars loud, trying to push through all the pain of his bleeding chest, dripping with blood. He kicks himself up from the ground, clenching his fists tight before he jumps back, clapping both fists together in a wide arc, big stones suddenly pushing up from both sides of runt, moving to crush him.

Daichi charges forward once more, the last of his strength fading away as he narrowly dodges the stone. But he doesn't stop. To those who are as fast as him, his movements were sluggish, slow, but to others of a normal pace, he seemed normal, maybe not as much so. But he presses on, his blade once again in a forward grip, his eyes staring at the troll before launching out, bringing his blade down and across his chest with a flash of red steel, landing behind him.

Gatwazzak snarls deep as he watches Daichi launch towards him, slamming his two fists into the ground, pulling up two large shards of sharp stone. As Daichi brings his blade up, he launches himself forward with a gust of air, hopefully planting the big shards into his shoulders, landing a few feet behind him.

For a moment, they both stand, all quiet. But the troll growls low as he feels the pain of yet another slash across his chest, letting out a deep sigh before he falls to his knees, then flat onto his stomach. The red blade falls to the ground, rocks implanted in it's owners shoulders. But Daichi remains standing, panting heavily.

"And.. I win.." He then falls onto his back, the sand turning red around him. Rekka blinks several times, looking rather dumbfounded. "...The fel did I just watch?"

Spoiler:
Were there is some anime moments, refrain from posting that in this thread if you would. Feel free to PM any concerns, seeing as though I would like to know to fight better. But then again, this was fun. Feel like ranting about it? Please don't, both I and Gatwazzak (Sorry I never learned your forum name) enjoyed. Doesn't seem to be that bad anyway. Thanks to Gatwazzak for taking part of this! And I hope those who were there enjoyed it as much as I did.

The world is dark. Night has reached the Barrens. There is no movement of life, no animal makes a sound, the air still. Atop a mountain made level by the hands of giants stands Daichi. The runt is not wearing his mask. His red blade is nowhere to be found. He looks broken, defeated. Ahead of him is himself. Only not himself. The image is twisted, dark, disturbing. Ahead of Daichi was a Fel-Orc, similar to him, yet never the same.

"You've given up." The Fel-Orc stares Daichi down, the burning red eyes seeming to burn brighter. "What good are you? Your nothing but a runt after all." He sneers, the jagged teeth exposed. Daichi remains slumped, staring at the ground. All that is heard is the Fel-Orc's made laughing. Then something in the distance. Something loud, drums. War Drums. Night Elven war drums. Daichi blinks, fear setting in as he stands, turning.

Suddenly the scene changes. No longer is he upon the flat mountain. He's at the camp. That wretched camp in which he was born. He stands, watching a young Orc try to pick up the massive amount of sticks. His brow furrows with concern as he watches, the runt barely making it to the pile. There the runt drops the wood, panting heavily. Daichi shakes his head at the foolish boy, ready to turn when suddenly three larger children appear. The largest of the three instantly throws a punch for the runts face. The runt falls, bringing a hand to his bleeding lip before standing back up without a word. The three larger ones start to yell something. What ever it was, Daichi couldn't understand. The largest one once again punches the runt, this time again and again, his eyes hollowed with anger. But the runt remains firm, taking each blow, some of them knocking him over, but he continued to get up.

Daichi, furious at that point, ran towards them shouting as loud as he could. But no voice ever left his throat. Each step he took only pushed himself farther and farther away. He roars with vivid anger, still no noise forming as suddenly the fighting stops. The runt remains standing as the largest one pants, clearly tired. The other two pull him away. The guards were coming. The runt turns facing Daichi, walking right up to him. The guards fade away, as does the rest of the world. All is white except for this runt and Daichi.

"Why do you run?" The boy's voice is almost cheery, eerily familiar to the Blademaster. Daichi opens his mouth to say something, but the boy speaks first. "You went through all of this, and you give up because you were wrong? Life is about learning." Slowly, the boy's form changes, steadily growing older. The scene changes again. This time to something Daichi remembers completely. It was his home. Ahead, the boy is talking with his mother. It was his Og'rimmor. No voices are heard, but the joy in his mothers face was clear. She was proud of him. Him, a runt who, despite all the odds, not only passed his Og'rimmor, but became a Blademaster.

The younger Daichi turns, as if to leave the house, but stops. He stares into Daichi's eyes, those blue eyes they share sparkling. "You can overcome anything, you've proven that. What is wrong with being wrong for once." Once again, Daichi tries to speak, but is cut off. The scene changes once more. It was the Ring of Valor. Daichi stands, not much younger then he is now, holding aloft the sashimono. The crowd was cheering. Eventually the cheering stops, and the new Blademaster walks right up to his future self. "It is your duty to learn from your mistakes, and to protect your people. Stop moping around and get to it." The bluntness started Daichi, and the younger him simply walks away. He reaches out to stop the new Blademaster, but once again the scene changes.

Once more the Fel-Orc stands in front of him, his arms crossed. He was no longer sneering, and his face was dark. Daichi blinks, looking around. Once more they were on the mountain, drums sounding around him. Before Daichi rests his red steel blade, the white wolf mask staring at him. ""Well?" The Fel-Orc stares at him, his red eyes burning with fury. "Have you decided?" Daichi blinks once more, wondering what he meant before the Fel-Orc roared, pulling his blade free from his back and lashing out. Daichi leans back, the blade cutting the air in which Daichi's head once was. He reaches out to the side, grabbing the familiar hilt and slashing back, the red blade arching wide through the air. Steel meets steel as his foe locks blades with him. For a moment the blue eyes gaze back into the burning red, determination shown with a lack of fear.

The Fel-Orc laughs loudly, pulling away. ".. Good, the determination is back.. Begone from this slumber, go defend your people." Slowly the Fel-Orc changes, turning into Daichi himself. "Go be who you were meant to be.

Daichi's eyes open wide. He sits up strait, shivering in a cold sweat. He was in Splintertree Post. He frowns, looking around. It was just a dream. "No.. That wasn't just a dream.." He stands up from the bed, pulling the clothing he calls armor on. He turns, reaching for his blade and- His blade wasn't there. He frowns as he remembers and walks out of the inn into the rain that was falling. He lets out a large sigh, scanning the area. ".. Best I find Tensin then.." He walks out into the rain, ready to start himself anew.

Spoiler:
I felt like giving myself a try at writing a dream sequence. Seemed to work quite well. Hope you enjoyed it!
