Background

During the Second War, Gnomes and Dwarves alike in Loch Modan were under attack. Kinstad Ironhammer, a proud warrior of Ironforge and a talented miner was worried. The orcs were approaching his house and no Alliance regiment was in sight. His father was rather old, very old in fact. His mother was too, and his brother was in a tight battle with the orcs. There was only one thing for him to do. Kinstad gathered his healthy, battle ready neighbours in front of his house. Dwarves and gnomes, were ready to fight against the orc armies that approached them. Though few and unexperienced, the technology of the Gnomes fought beside them. Many militiamen lost their homes, including the General, Kinstad. In pure hatred and anger, Karqel assembled his ever growing Militia and struck the orcs scouting parties. Every man was equipped with weapons now, and they stole the orcs armour. They fought valiantly, many died and many were at the mercy of the Militia. At the wars end, Kinstad now aging has become a merchant. He was selling clothing, hats and many more. Until it hit him, he needed to fight the orcs once more and protect his city of Thelsamar. Though it is not war-time in the region, the orcs of the Wetlands seem to worry him.

Kinstad returned to Thelsamar with a message, of hope and prosperity for the Dwarves and the Gnomes residing. A message that we need to protect the Loch, the Wetlands, Elwynn forest and beyond. Expand capabilities and mount ambition is what Karqel needed. Many Thelsamar citizens questioned Kinstad, many calling him crazy, mad or even in a mid-life crisis. But Kinstad sure wasn't, he seen the dangers beyond. In the Wetlands the Orcs were massing for war, in the lands of Grim Batol he could feel the war brewing there. In the Badlands, civilians needed protection! Kinstad called his surviving friends, comrades and commanders to the city of Thelsamar. He rounded them together, together they will fight!

Purpose

To protect the innocent civilians of Khaz Modan and the Kingdom of Stormwind. Kinstad would like to expand to Elwynn and use the Deeprun Tram for troop transport. But the Militia wouldn't be contacting the Alliance Army often. Defias must be taken care of, Orcs in the Wetlands need to be watched. Also, controlling crimes in Dwarven villages. If there is an unsolved murder case, the Militia would likely be on it.

Position held by Kinstad currently. The head of all Militia operations in Stormwind and Khaz Modan. If there is any huge operations headed by the High Marshals it has to be approved by him. He is also the lead of any Capture operations, to catch any criminals or Horde Travellers.

High Marshals

Two people take charge of these ranks. One Marshal is in charge of the operations in the Stormwind Areas, the other is in charge of the operations in Khaz Modan. Likely a Human/Dwarf who will be heads of these. Many people would like to be High Marshals, Kinstad is a prefectionist too. If these men screw up there are many replacements, watch out.

Sergeant

Heads of Squadrons that patrol the paths. Valuable to the squadron, Sergeants are usually heavily armoured and are to be reported to if anything happens in their designated areas. Also, the heads of minor crime in the area. HQs are usually in the villages that are located in their areas. (Ex. Thelsamar Squadron will be operated from Thelsamar)

Corporals

Sergeants main man, they will be in the scouting parties with the Sergeants and making sure no danger approaches. Also the point man, someone ready to go first even in the face of death.

Privates

Ready to fight and defend their cities. Not very honorable but are the main Infantry. You may be asked to do silly jobs for the Sergeants or Marshals but you will be rewarded later.

Volunteers

These people will help us in any way they feel like, maybe cooks or First Aid professors. These people may feel free to come along and help with the patrols or anything.


The Out-Of-Character


This group will help with the preparations of Cataclysm, hopefully will expand to Twilight Highlands when it becomes available. Also, stir up some Khaz Modan RP, Wetlands and more Elwynn RP. I think Thelsamar needs more RP so thats what I am helping with! The Militia will not be recruiting Night Elves due to Karqels deep distrust of the race, maybe the Marshals can convince him otherwise.

Actually, I was thinking of this to be a Paramilitary Stormpike Guild. To spice up Alterac Valley RP. What would you guys think?

Looks like I unintentionally created an Alliance version of this guild. /facepalm Anyway, s'pose we can form an Alliance (i'm so punny) ICly if we end up meeting.

Remember that guild posts are for recruitment. While the topic of alliance/merger is relevant to the origional post, those sorts of things should be talked about in private. They are long conversations, after all!

And remember to keep your tone in check, Sunthas. A kind word is a strong word.
