Hello, Stompkins! I know you're asking for feedback on your charaacters, however I sadly am not able to really provide on this regard, as I really do not think you and I have ever RPed together at length! Perhaps we could change that sometime in the future, but I digress.
However, I do have something to say in regards to your guild, the
Inferno of the Ridaken. I say this completely as an outsider of the guild who has never been involved or RPed with it, but I have have made impressions on the guild based on OOC observations, so take that as you will.
The Ridaken just really do not strike me as lore or elven appropriate at all, in most any regard. From the use of the word "clan", to their self-serving nature (when most blood elf houses, while very selfish, are dutifully loyal to their people and their nation, especially in a post-Third War world), to the very inspiration of the guild: Feudal Japan ninjas.
I'm sorry, but... ninjas blood elves? It just doesn't click with me. Even if they're not literally ninjas, the name "Ridaken" sounds terribly un-elven, and I doubt an entire family of hitmen and assassins would exist long in Silvermoon society: the high elves were not -that- bloodthirsty in all fairness, and murder was and is still very much illegal. Equally puzzling is their knack for demolitions and deforestation- while High/Blood elves are not as tree-hugging as their Night Elf cousins, they still hold a great reverence for the wilderness and for the forests. It was the forests of Quel'thalas that held the Scourge at bay for a short while, it was more than their home: it was their protector as well.
Also, their dislike of the Silvermoon royalty puzzles me. Anasterian Sunstrider was a beloved king whose death rattled the elven people. The dude was given Quel'Serrar by the Red Dragonflight, defeated the Amani trolls with the help of the humans during the Troll Wars, and personally dueled Arthas one on one to try and keep the Scourge away from the Sunwell. The dude was a hero with almost three thousand years of ass kicking to support it. His son, Kael'thas was equally beloved and was thought to be a deliverer of the elves from destruction at the hands of arcane starvation (though he was never styled as king).
Despite all this, your profile and lore states the Ridaken had considerable wealth and influence in Quel'thalas, despite the fact they pretty much stand for nothing in elven culture or society. They feel more like dwarfs, or orcs, maybe... but not elves. Now of course there are oddballs and exceptions to every race, every culture (I've got a dwarf whose married to a blood elf for cryin' out loud), but the Ridaken are trying to be too much of both sides of the coin and neither of them are working out well. No elven house would be able to rise to respect and power operating like the Ridaken do, I don't think- and if they're mercenary or freelance, why even invest in nationalist respect to begin with? Between the contradictory lore, the unfitting word choices, and the baseless source of inspiration, the whole guild just doesn't work for me. I'm sorry, but it doesn't.
And hey, maybe it's just me, maybe it's none of my business because I don't RP in it or with it, but these are my observations, so take them for what they are. Thank you.
