Everybody's Doing It.
#1
So, I've been contemplating this for something like a month now. I really don't enjoy playing most of my characters. That's quite evident, as I hardly ever RP. But I want to. So I think I'm going to redo some of my characters, and wipe others out completely. Some won't take place until (if) we arrive at Cataclysm, and some will take greater roles at that point. In any case, I doubt I'll have but maybe one unchanged character once I go through with this.

Here we go...

Aulten Calethos

With many guilds, both successful and failed, beneath his belt, as well as almost seven years of storyline in Warcraft alone, and at least a dozen incarnations, Aulten will be biting the dust. His tale has been written, rewritten, completed, and left unfinished time and time and time yet again still, and it's time that I let him rest.

Aulten Calethos is dead. Manor Calethos burned to the ground in the night, and while the corpse was never found, it is assumable that the man is dead, in every way, shape, and form. A funeral would have been held on the grounds, but only symbolic in nature. Without any remains to bury, the act was more one of remembrance than a traditional burial.

Torok Whiteclaw

Torok is something of an enigma to me. I created him because I wanted more RP with Kril once upon a blue moon ago, and that got me nowhere. Instead, however, I used him as an insight into Orcish culture, and got my first real grip on how they work. I love my Torok because of that. He is awesome, and I love the times I get to RP him.

However, all good things must come to an end.

Torok will remain in my arsenal, though he will soon be moving to Outland. He will remain there, and serve spiritual purposes for future Outland RP, and will step in with the Draenic Pilgrimage now and again. He still remains in the Earthen Ring, but will be replaced on Azeroth by a fiery young Orcling who happens to be his mentee. More on him in a bit.

Mythor Ironraven

Probably my newest character. Demon Hunter, moody, lives in the forest.

... Yeah. Not much to say about him. He'll be staying, though. At least for now.

Gorose Falaran

Gorose is a very odd guy. He was created as a character who was intended to be developmentally... Well... Done. He was more intended to be a guiding character for other people's characters, and I feel I do that well enough, when I play him. Which is, admittedly, rare.

Because Sol would murder me in my sleep if I deleted him, I'll keep him around. However, I may dump the Black Harvest guild tag on him. Not sure. After all, he was intended to be guild-neutral in the first place. With that in mind, I do plan to play him somewhat more regularly, even if it is just for spiritual stuff.

As a note, keep in mind that he's almost always free for RP, for anyone who wants/need Forgotten Shadow development.

But yeah. Guild-neutral, solely spiritual RP, less reclusive. That's a wrap.

Glyndin Stonefist

I like Dwarves, I really do. But I've never been able to get into them like I want to. I'm not sure what I can do with this crazy little Titan-priest to restore my interest in him. If I can think of anything, then I can simply reroll him; until then, he is considered shelved, but not dead. Probably off in some mountain somewhere connecting with the Titans as best he can.

Arcken Calenbrad

My old Fel Sworn Alteraci. I liked him, and I liked RPing him, but with the disappearance of a few people key to his storyline, combined with a lack of desire to do all-out evil RP for the foreseeable future, I will be deleting him.

Edward Crowley

Miiiiister Croooooowleeeey.

My really weird Necromancer.

Yeah, I couldn't get into him very much. He was a really rushed character, and one that I didn't properly think through. I'll be dumping him, in favor of either expanding an existing character, or replacing him with another.

Joseph Andrew Jedediah Curwen, esq.

My longest-named character, and my longest-profiled character.

Curwen, love ya. I'll be keeping you around, and likely modifying your personality just a bit, to make you more conducive to RP.

Saneth

Saneth was a cooky firebrand priest belonging to Cara and Sol's start-up neo-Scarlet thing. I liked him, but he felt too bland to me, and I've never had the time to get the interest I wanted in him built up. I doubt I'll be keeping him.

Vaethor Leafsinger

Vaethor was my first really good character, and I love him for that. I still remember the days I spent hanging out with The Hunt in Azshara Crater, long before the restart. Or whatever that guild used to be called. I don't remember anymore. In any case, while I love Vaethor for being what he was to me, he would be disappearing in the Cataclysm anyway. Beyond that, it isn't as though I play him any longer. He will be disappearing, likely off to disappear into the forests to live for the rest of his life.

Kaelis

... I can't delete Kaelis. He's too close to my heart. I rarely ever RPed him, but in the times when I did, especially pre-restart, I had some of the best RPs I've ever had. I'm truly sad that a certain few people disappeared, as now he's again lost two of the most important people in his life. But he'll carry on, because he needs to. In his mind, if not for himself, then for their memory. He'll continue to RP in Outland whenever I get the chance.

Galadon

Galadon is one of my other newer characters. Due to his funky history, and the lack of actual written material I've come up for him, he's quite the blank page, and is certainly one I look forward to developing.

I think that's about it. Now to compile a list real quick.

Keeping (modified or not):

Gorose
Kaelis
Mythor
Curwen
Torok
Galadon

Deleting:

Vaethor
Crowley
Glyndin
Saneth
Arcken
Aulten

New Characters:

Gorn'thrak Emberwolf

Gorn'thrak is my replacement character for Torok, as I detailed above. He'll be taking over the Earthen Ring guild on the Azeroth side of the deal, for the time I plan to bring it back. He's a fiery whelp of a Shaman, and is fairly inexperienced when it comes to the world. He's had what he considers to be a great mentor for his earlier years, and has been walking the path of the Shaman for quite a few years. He's 24, having taken and completed his Om'riggor at the standard age of 20. Not much more to say, though, yet. More details will come when I write and post his profile.

Spoiler:
I realize that this comes at a time when everyone seems to be making these posts, though it seems everyone is readying for Cataclysm. Yeah, in a way, this is a wipe in preparation. But at the same time, I want to get back into RP, and I can't do that with my current list of characters. I just don't like many of them anymore. Hope this list doesn't hurt anyone's feelings. <3
