My name is Shayn (pronounced Shane) and i've been playing wow for about 2-3 years now. PvP Has always been my keen position in WoW to improve upon, but I also take great interest in RP as well. Back on the retail servers I even character transfered over to Emerald Dream (RP-PvP) to get more into it! And i've been a Horde freak before and then was an Alliance freak. But I always seem to lean to the Horde more... Undead specifically.
What country do you come from? What is your primary language?:
US, Texas. (Although most people i've met wouldn't have guessed i'm from Texas
)
My language is English although a while back I got into some German. OH! And I also speak Orcish & fluent Forsaken. ( ^_^ )
How did you get into Warcraft?:
To be honest, the south park episode. Haha, I never really thought much of WoW before then. But something.. or many things about it intrigued me greatly! Especially the open world and again, the PvP.
How did you find us? Did anything in particular draw you to the server?:
Google, and I guess it's name. At first I wasn't sure of it. But after looking at the site a bit it looks pretty interesting and I think it might be fun to give it a shot! It could open me up to meeting many great new people. ( :3 )
What kinds of roleplay do you enjoy?:
PvP events, chilling at the Taverns, cops n' crooks (sorta if you'd call it that), character and character relationship developement. Basically quite a bit of it!
What is your favorite race/class? Why?:
Undead rogue. And mostly because they both say a lot about me. I'm fast, agile, and my prefered weapons of choice would be small, but deadly daggers. And Undeads because they're skinny/thin, have a dark theme, are apart of the Lich Kings lore (My FAVORITE part of WoW lore<3), but probably a really good part I can relate to is their dance ( xD ) I love a couple types of music. But Metal is definitely my favorite!
What are your expectations of this server?:
A very close, well kept, and organized community of like-minded RP'ers. No griefers or anything really like that. To be able to easily find new allies, friends, and RP foes.
Out of all of our rules and regulations listed on our server, which appeals to you the most?:
Role-playing, and the types of RP.
I also believe RP can extend very far and it's the creative nature that every individual RP'er can bring in! All unique in their own way.
Lastly, tell us a story! It can be short, it can be long; but most importantly, we want to see your work in action. Go!:
Very well, a bit about Mercer (or also known as Arrethy). Was a Stormwind born human raised in the city. Both his parents were loyal Stormwind citizens. His mom tended to him, his brother, and sister at home while his dad usually went off to help local farmers and villagers with typical labor. By the age of eleven he began training on his own to become a Stormwind Alliance assassin.
The idea had always facinated him, and only a year later did he decide to start enrolling in combat classes. His parents worried of the dangers but decided to let him follow his dream. At the age of thirteen he met a young girl who he took a good interest in while walking down to a local village to help out his dad with the labor. A competing Stormwind rogue named Falthren, who was also in training was at odds with him, for he too interest in the girl as well.
They never saw eye to eye really, but it didn't matter much at the time. As years passed his brother (A little younger than him) started to take up combat classes as well, Mercer and the girl he met were finally romantically involved. Everything seemed ok. Until one day, Mercers mom became ill and was under treatment in a small village right out side Stormwind.
One day his father decided to visit her but things didn't go as planned. Horde had attacked the village and by the time Mercer got there his parents were dead. (There's more detail but I feel like i'm making long enough for this xD). Devestation and misery had stricken Mercer, his brother, and sister. Years went by, and eventually things seemed to be a bit back on track. Mercer had even married the girl he met at the age of nineteen and was even a Stormwind assassin.
When the Cataclysm hit he was sent to investigate the doings of the Forsaken in the Silverpine forest with a few other members of the Alliance including Falthren. Varian wanted to know more about what was going on. And it was their job to get some information. Unfortunately during a scouting mission his group had been attacked by some of the Forsaken that had been notified about their potision. It was Falthren who had betrayed them and little did Mercer know Falthren had always been jealous of him. By the time Mercer was there it was too late.. in the end he found himself stabbed in his back with a sturdy dagger by a Forsaken rogue.
Of course.. his story hadn't ended there. Falthren went on to take Mercers wife, home, and everything once held so dear. The Forsaken took Mercers body with interest and Sylvanas thought of an offer. Before bringing Mercer back to life she had learned of his life as much as she could. And knew what Falthrean had done. She knew Mercer could be a great instrument of hate and vengeance. Once he was back to life she explained what had happened in the time he was gone. And offered him a chance to become apart of the Forsaken legion as a Forsaken assassin. He accepted, and now his story continues on after that day..
