Whisperial's introduction

First and foremost: Tell us about yourself, as a player:

When I’m playing a game my mind is in it. I’ll stay focused if I have a team, but not so much if I’m just in the woods killing creatures for a quest. I’m also rather shy, I don’t normally talk to people unless they talk to me first. So in order to go into a dungeon I go into the dungeon selector. Some people may call me a noob because I've never gone into a raid before. I haven’t because money’s been tight and I just don’t have the time to level a character while school is in session. If I see a person asking for gold to get a mount of any kind, and I have the gold, I normally will give them the amount they’re asking without them asking me specifically.

What country do you come from? What is your primary language?:

I was born and raised in the United States of America, and by the context of this message I speak English. Sadly I do not speak any other language.

How did you get into Warcraft?:

My best friend showed me it after Burning Crusade came out. I didn't know anything about World of Warcraft back then, but after a while of her playing WoW and me playing Timesplitters she decided to let me play. My first Character was a Draenei paladin. Right when I killed that first creature, and turned in my first quest, I was hitched. Since I didn't have an account, we shared one by her playing an hour and then me. It got old quick so I ended up getting an account as soon as I got a computer of my own.

How did you find us? Did anything in particular draw you to the server?:

My friend zenethen told me about it in school, and it seemed the promise land for me. He told me on how you can level up faster, how the people are actually nice instead of the normal servers. He also told me that everyone had to roleplay. All of those things sounded to me like the promise land. No more immature kids running around calling me a noob for no reason. No more people saying “ASL?”. For me, I got world of Warcraft so I can escape the world, not have to deal with more of it. After reading the rules and from what I hear from my friend, I feel like those days are over.

What kinds of roleplay do you enjoy?:

All that are decent. I love to talk like I’m from another land or world. I also love coming up with names for my characters or thinking of their past. Sometime while in school I would start writing stories about a random person from somewhere else. I must admit though, I’m not the best writer in the world. However, I am good about coming up with ideas for roleplay. I think my favorite roleplay has to be with my friends and sometimes complete strangers. Roleplaying to me is escaping the world. To not be who you are, but to be someone you want to be.

What is your favorite race/class? Why?:
My favorite classes and races combo has to be the Draenei paladin, and the Nightelf hunter. I love to play as a Draenei paladin because I feel the class fits the race the most. They’re very religious about the light. Also, I've seen what looks like paladin guards in the Exodar. I also love to play a paladin because they can heal, tank, and dps. I prefer to be the healer because from what I have experience with your mana hardly ever goes down. Just cast some holy spells, get three points and then you can instantly heal you or the tank. Another thing about me is, is that if I’m healing, and some DPS decides to pull a boss, I won’t heal him/her. A healer should always heal the tank. Unless he’s dead or AFK.

What are your expectations of this server?:

To be able to play the game World of Warcraft is supposed to be. WoW should be a place where all people can quest, raid, and roleplay without any little kids saying slurs. What drew me to play World of Warcraft was to explore all of it’s wonders. To see where all of the beautiful places are, and to actually be able to play without being harassed by people talking in textease.

Out of all of our rules and regulations listed on our server, which appeals to you the most?:

I like the language rule the most. In all of my years playing this game I've always hated going into towns and cities. Especially when the game first came out. I just stopped going to major cities and towns like Goldshire, Stormwind, Orgrimmar, because all of the people there would be level 50 or higher and dual level 10’s and whenever a low level would lose they would call them slurs and run off. Also, in dungeons if the healer’s out of mana, the whole group blames it on her/him. Don’t get me wrong, I actually like to curse, but calling people derogatory terms is wrong and it just ruins the whole game play.

Lastly, tell us a story! It can be short, it can be long; but most importantly, we want to see your work in action. Go!:

Thunder cracked through the black sky, rain poured upon the armies Junguard. Ardak looked upon his men. All of them fully armed, and ready to die for him. All of them ready to die for what they believe in: freedom. From the castle tower, Ardak can see the red hue of torches from the enemy. Several years ago, when the kingdom of Junguard was a generation younger, dark elves came from overseas. They saw how man fought against each other and was disgusted. They then vowed that day to kill all men with impure hearts.
The dark elves are no farther than fifty miles away from the gates. They make no sound, not even the rain can make their armor cry. A horn from the dark elves calls out. It seems they want to talk to Ardak. He then gets on his stead and goes half way to meet the general. "What are you doing here? Junguard is pure from crime and poverty. You have no business here elf." proclaimed Ardak.
"My name is Alune, and yes we do have business here. We have come to the conclusion that all men are corrupt. We will kill every man, woman, and child, and rule these lands for the elves."
Ardak eyes narrowed. His silver sword never made a sound until it cut off Alune's head. His head hit the mud floor next to the hooves of his horse. Ardak turned around and ran for his army. "Men of Junguard, Hear me! Know that the elves threaten our families and homes! We will make them leave with or without their lives!" Ardak yelled to his men, "Archers, on my mark!" five hundred bows were pulled back with arrows, ready for the kill. The order was given. A shower of arrows flew across the sky towards the elves coming closer to the walls. Men on the ground, with steads and without started running towards the elves.
A clash between the two forces could be heard from inside the castle. Men are being beheaded, elves are being stabbed through the throat with spears, axes and swords. A catapult from inside the walls are armed with rocks and are thrown into the air. The rock is seen even though the dark rainy night. Men run for their lives leaving the enemy confused and curious. Then hundreds of rocks flatten thousands of elves and not many are remaining.
The dawn broke through the clouds, finally the rain stopped. Dark elves fled for their lives. "Aim." said the captain of the archers. "fire." Arrows flew in the sky, no rain to hold them back, ran through the fleeing dark elves. The men of Junguard cheered for their victory. Today, all men are free to make choices for good or for evil.

Is there anything else you would like to add, ask, or otherwise clarify?:

Welcome to Conquest of the Horde!

If you haven't already, please make sure to check out our Rules, Policies, FAQs, and Wiki. We also have an area dedicated to guides to help with things from races to classes and everything in between!
Be sure to join the channel 'chat' for anything related in-game such as questions about server policies or information on lore, and 'barrens' for anything off-topic that follows server rules. LFG is used for seeking role-play. Use the OOC portal to go just about anywhere in the game, but be sure to visit the OOC area for all the trainers and vendors. There's also an innkeeper there that you can set your hearthstone to. :)

If you ever have any questions, feel free to PM me!

We have mostly kept the server quest friendly, but there are some bugs understandably. But due to the increased gold and xp rates, missing a few quests won't be an issue at all! :) A handful of people will also be happy to do dungeons with you if you ask.

Enjoy your stay! o/
