There are people who are just horrible at school. People who just can't get into it. People who can't be cowed into submission by the system. School isn't the same as it used to be, it is all about tests and getting good scores and attendance so they acquire more funding. Did you know that the more people who get free lunch at school, the more money the school gets, too? Schools compete for special needs children, as well. Special Ed classes are expensive, but they are given a surplus of funds to pocket after paying for Special ed classrooms and teachers.

I feel the school system has too many bugs, to be worth it. Here is San Diego, we have a thing called JobCorps (and other similar programs) that give you a job (and a place to live, with parental permission or emancipation) and help you get your diploma. I would suggest a program like this over traditional schooling, as it actually gives you life experience.

Then there is always the GED, which some states allow as early as 16 years old, sadly mine is 17 and within sixty days of 18. I left school and took the GED, scoring in the ninety percentile. It took two days to get it done. First day was a pretest where they said due to my score they would pay for it, and the second day was the actual test.

I have five certifications gotten for practically free at the community college; All involving computers. I make what equates to twenty dollars an hour. I'm a system builder, technician, and recovery specialist. I've never had issues about having a GED versus a highschool diploma.

If you really dislike the public school system, talk to your family and friends about other alternatives in your state. Most states provide alternatives. If you don't feel these are viable options for you, then you better get your shit together and pass, because you don't want to fail high school and have to end up taking the GED (or adult courses) anyways. Waste of time. Just do it right, or find another way to achieve the same goal.

As I tell all munchkins... Join the military as soon as you are eighteen. It is only three years of your life unless you re-enlist, and it instills a good work ethic.

Edit: Might be different outside California..Or the USA.... If so, ignore this post.

...Oh my lord, thank you guys, I feel soo loved and supported but I should add a progress report on what has happened and notes on what I'm more like :P So, I've had 5 Fs...one of them is now a B one is going to be an A once I finally get a project turned in one I just need notes on chapter (I'm a great note taker) and math comes easy so that all I need to pass is three assignment. The one class I am having trouble is Chemestry and I've just got to turn in some labs and take a test (Which I can take again and again until I get an A). So I feel I have this in the bag actualy though I'm doing this more so over friday and the weekend so I'm probably not going to be on and if I am it would probably be on sunday. I'll say that I'm smart in my own opinion and I find school easy I can beat the system and pass with minimal work.

That being said NO MORE will I not do my homework this shall not happen again! I have taken your tips and will try with some, but I'm a bit of a scatter brain...so I'll try Riegen's then some others. Also I take all my notes in pencil and take them all the time so no need to fret with notes >.<
Lastly I wish to thank you all, I feel speshul and supported and it's because of you guys that I'm even trying so <3 I loves ya'll! Keep throughing tips about homework cause that's where I fall short...darned homework I almost always get As on classwork and notes again thanks ya'll :D

Despite all the posts already made and all the information given, I -will- continue to give tips. Yep.
I, too, take the stance of echoing EVERYTHING said. All good ideas. But let me give you a little story, just to make this interactive;
I am...in my opinion, a great student. I have a great thinking structure, methods and thoughts come easy to me. I just...don't even do my homework. I thought, in the beginning, how important it was. Slowly, as my grades got more average on every test of mine, I stopped doing my homework. I'm lazy, and it's not the fact that I can't keep a schedule, just that it's hard to make one that fits for me. I stay up late, and don't take notes in school. This thread has also helped inspire me, and I daresay Ormica...if we don't pass school together, it would seem we're both going to fail as well. GET THAT WORK DONE....Indeed I shall too. Over-achieve and be a try-hard as MUCH as possible, no matter what kind of dislike you get publicly from people who settle on average work. Bedazzling teachers will get you far, especially if you get your work done too.
If it makes you happy, stay up late. I do. But make sure you -eat-. Bread, peanut butter, fruit. Anything high in grains, carbohydrates, or is a "healthy" food. I eat peanut butter right from the jar before school, and it's full of...stuff to give you energy.
Yeah. Lots of words...summary; Do your work, and over-achieve. You don't have to scribble down notes of every teacher's breath, but if it makes you feel secure, do it. It's all about your learning style, and it seems you're doing great.
Oh, by the way. If you fail, I'm never going to RP with you again, nubby. <--- Grade-A Incentive. :D!

Only you can stop you.

If you settle for less, you'll get less. If you strive for the best, you'll get the best. It doesn't matter how much work something is, it will be worth it in the end, least you look back a few years from now in regret for not going the extra mile.

That's what you get for asking us for support in the first place, muahah!
All kidding aside, though, striving for the absolute best is always...well..the best. Go figure!

I must find this magical school.

It's funny really, I was in the same boat as you were with not turning in homework which really plummeted by grade. You just got to force yourself to do it, since it'll only get worse in college (if you plan on going anyway). I also listen to music while I do homework so I won't get bored xD.

WELL, GOOD FOR YOU THEN. EDUCATION CAN BE QUITE IMPORTANT.

I took some college courses before, although since they're in high school they're the exact opposite of college classes xD

It sounds ridiculous Xigo but I have that mentality too Lol, I'm in the highest classes I can get and I always put in the bare minimum. Ormica probably has a different reason, although I know I'm just a lazy bastard with high school T_T
