Sula's introduction

First and foremost: Tell us about yourself, as a player:

Well I've been roleplaying for about four years, still remember the day I first logged onto a WoW private RP server which was called Millennium. I had taken up a liking towards roleplay quite suddenly yet I've been fascinated by Warcraft's lore ever since I first got to play Warcraft 2.

I like to think of myself as a creative roleplayer, I've had quite the colorful set of characters, each one of them planned out with utter care. Some people I’ve ran into have expressed their dislike towards the matter of me having "too many characters" and that I should "stick to my main", where I believe that continuously sitting on a single toon would eventually make you grow tired of your beloved creation.

Lore is not an issue for me as I believe that I’ve got quite the good grasp on it. I haven’t received a single remark towards roleplaying any of my characters wrong so far either, despite how several of them I’ve managed to conjure . I’m also familiar with the WoW RPG which could be a great asset to any community that is associated with World of Warcraft roleplay. Some people may find it’s rules too stiff and oppressing where I think it only allows more room for imagination.

Even though I’ve roleplayed each and every race and class, I’ve developed certain favorites among them. I do not have a favorite faction, but my favorite races would be the following: undead, elves ( preferably sin’dorei) and dwarves. My favored classes: mage, because of the ability to bend the very fabric of reality to your whim through sheer willpower; paladin, because of the heroic and compassionate behavior, empathy towards life and utter self sacrifice in the name of those you hold dear; rogue, because of the guile and cunning which they employ to accomplish their selfish needs; (WoWRPG class) tinker, because of the ingenuity and creativity it allows me to pour into creations.

What country do you come from? What is your primary language?:

I come from a relatively unknown small country, one of the former Iron Curtain nations, Estonia. It resides right below Finland and is a neighbor to Russia, Latvia and Sweden. Even though it’s a small nation with a mere 1,45 million people living in it, we have our own language called estonian, it’s very similar to finnish.

How did you get into Warcraft?:

I first got into Warcraft by playing Warcraft 2 on a playstation 1 console owned by my cousin, I was immediately enthralled by it’s fantasy setting, the rivalry between two races as such. I continued to follow the storyline by purchasing a copy of Warcraft 3 myself and my liking towards the story only got deeper with each passing game Blizzard released.

My first day as a WoW roleplayer began quite suddenly as I logged off a PvP server where I had a discussion about RP servers. I went onto google, snooped around a bit and found Millennium which served as my first roleplaying server. Oddly I didn’t go off on a rocky start, I blended in quite well with the local community even though if I look back at the former self, I’d say I was an utter twat.

How did you find us? Did anything in particular draw you to the server?:

I got onto CotH with the help of my buddy, Kaze, whom should be around here aswell. WoW roleplay has died out everywhere else so I thought why not give this server a try.

What kinds of roleplay do you enjoy?:
- Passive roleplay ( Sitting in taverns and whatnot )
- Combat roleplay
- Events ( Large scale or small )
- Guild oriented roleplay

What is your favorite race/class? Why?:
I’ve stated above quite few yet if I would be forced to stick to a single character I’d most likely decide either for a blood elven mage or a human paladin .

What are your expectations of this server?:
To take part in great roleplay, something I’d wish to find in every roleplaying server I migrate to. What else could one wish for?

Out of all of our rules and regulations listed on our server, which appeals to you the most?:

I guess the rule which states that anyone whom wishes to take part of the roleplay is forced to be atleast familiar with the history of Azeroth, since it’s quite difficult to roleplay with people if they lack sufficient grasp over the lore.

Lastly, tell us a story! It can be short, it can be long; but most importantly, we want to see your work in action. Go!:

A shortened version of the history of one of my characters which I used to enjoy roleplay, Daniel Thaw the Argent Dawn Templar.

Marriage of Lord Valcone and Baroness Elizabeth.

"M'lord! It is time!" shouted a servant upon rushing into the room, his eyes desperately seeking for Valcone. "Calm yourself, Jonathan.I wont be late, not for my own wedding. Tell them I'm already on my way." responded Valcone himself, his tone utterly calm, which is somewhat strange in a such event, it was his own marriage. The wife, gorgeous Lady from Gilenas, their marriage was somewhat arranged by both families, it was a swift chance to gain more power.

The wedding was held in the Stormwind Cathedral, a large banquet and everything was planned as both families were quite wealthy. Baroness Elizabeth smoothly made her way to the altar as the wedding march was played. Valcone stood at the altar, cool as ice. The old priest read the blessings and it was the time for the couple to kiss. Both of them were fairly young, and even if the marriage was somewhat arranged, the love they both felt that day was quite strong.

Afterwards they fancily took a large ship to Gilneas port, venturing onwards on a horse carriage with a large escort to the Tirisfal Glades, Lordaeron. There they settled down in the Thaw manor, enjoying life. Hoping to raise children who would inherit what they've got. The first born was a boy, they named him Eric Michael, in the honour of Elizabeth's great grandfather who was a reknown judge in Gilneas. The second born was a boy also whom recieved the name Daniel, an unique name, given after none. The last but not the least, they recieved a sweet daughter whom they named Ann, in the honour of Valcone's mother.

Birth of Daniel Thaw, the unfortunate middle-kid.

Three times struck the thunder, accompanied by heavy rain which mercilessly drummed against the windows and the roof. Screams of pain filled the room and echoed the halls, Elizabeth was giving birth. Valcone calmly stood next to her, his hand firmly gripping onto hers for support. It was the second child, it was no longer something new for them. Daniel inherited his mother's caring eyes and his fathers coal black, rough hair. They were overwhelmed with joy indeed, but it didn't last long as Thaw was born in troubling times. Valcone fell ill a month later and the crops around their manor were damaged that year.

So Daniel was given to look after by the servants. He couldn't get the same treatment as his older brother, or his little sister who was given birth to, four years later. Thaw was quite diffrent from his siblings. His best friends was the elderly majordomo, William, and a cheerful servant, Anny. Whilist his older brother or sister gained the attention of the parents, he went to seek audicence from those two.

Early years, someone gave him a (silver) hand.

His older brother was already accepted to the ranks of the Silver Hand as a paladin trainee, being schooled through the arts of paladins. Daniel had alot of preparations to do before he could think of doing the same. It turned out that William was a veteran, led alot of troops and was quite fierce in melee. He thought of schooling Daniel secretly as none else seemed to do so. William tried to become a paladin also, but he failed the faith's trial, so he thought of passing on his knowlege to young master Daniel, whom seemed more thane eager to learn.Days after days, Daniel snuk out of the manor after his homeschool to train with William.

Fighting with wooden swords was very efficient and seemed fun to young Daniel also. Out of all the melee weapons, swords fit him the best, elegant tools in battle. William taught Daniel that rushing head-off and trying to desperately slash your opponent was wrong, a true combatant had to be patient and swift. Always adapting and thining one step forth. Never to be let to be consumed by rage, such odd ways of combat were practiced by berserkers of the Horde, somewhat passing on to some humans.

As years passed by, Daniel vowed to uphold the three virtues. He carefully took every step in the training, wishing to pass not only for himself, but also not to dissapoint Willy whom had so much faith in him. At first, the three virtues seemed somewhat odd and frightening, but as Daniel gave it a try, they seemed normal, even welcoming. With hard study and devotion he started to picking up paladin abilites, soon to bolster the Silver Hand's ranks.

Scourge, the dreaded enemy.

Danny boy was a man by that time, being a proud member of the Silver Hand, fighting alongside the other comrades of his. The unfortunate news were those that his brother had failed to uphold the virtues, caring too little for the innocents and too much for his own profit. He returned to inheriting the Manor and anything of the Thaw family.

Life seemed to slowly restore after the second war with the Horde, but nothing could be simply good. News of a new dreaded enemy reached the ears of the holy order. An undead force so vast, so destructive, that it conquered Northrend. It was a great threat to the kingdom of Lordaeron, rumors were heard that the last guardian of Tirisfal, a man who was supposed to be dead gave the king his warning, which the king decided to ignore. The order was ofcourse worried, but none took directly action before the plague itself hit their kingdom. They underestimated their foe and paid the price for their arrogance.

As they thought things were bad, they elevated as Prince Arthas himself participated in slaying the innocent people of Stratholme, his excuse being that they were taken by the plague. There were sightings of a demon taunting, toying with him. But none actually believed such, why would one reveal himself in such an obvious way?

The news kept going worse and worse, villages after villages kept falling to the plague. Daniel and alot of the other survivors of the Silver Hand witnessed Arthas slaying the grand mentor of all paladins, Uther the Lightbringer, alongside with the other notable paladin warriors. Lordaeron had fallen and no hope seemed to remain, but alas. There was the Scarlet Crusade and the recently formed Argent Dawn, both causes wishing only one. To exterminate the Scourge, alas the Scarlet Crusade took significant changes, they became more ruthless than anyone could bear.

As they lacked in numbers, they had to seek better forms of how to battle the undeath. So were created the templars, whom "reformed" the Light. A new wave of powerful paladins, trained by the Argent Dawn. Daniel hastly started to seek knowlege in those new ways, becoming a templar. As bending the three virtues gave him more freedom of enforcing justice, he became quickly adapted to the new power. But in all the glory and the chance of perhaps reclaiming their home, Daniel completely forgot about his father and his brother. He took a dangerous journey to the Manor, seeking for his family.

He carefully approached the manor, dead crops everywhere, fortunately he was accompanied by William, his old friend whom took up being a priest as Valcone releaved him of his duties. They both searched through the house, only finding Daniel's brother, Eric, behind a desk, groaning. He seemed as a mindless wretch, nothing implied that he remembered whom he was. Daniel was afraid to harm his brother at first. But with the guidance of Willy, he did what was right and put his brother to a rest. This was this trial of faith. His father was not found, but rumors were that he joined the Forsaken, nothing more was known about him.

The Argent Crusade, retaliation in a full-scale way.

Tirion Fordring, a paladin of the Silver Hand, took in his hands of reforming the Silver Hand and the Argent Dawn into a powerful strike force to exterminate the Scourge once and for all. Countless of battles were fought against the undending armies of undeath. Countless of good men were lost in the process. Even though Daniel's ways of terminating evil were disliked by the majority. He cared for it not, he was serving the Light and none other.

The Argent Crusade advanced with fearsome speed, Lich King finally found a worthy opponent. The damned prince was to be slain. The gates of the dreaded citadel could be reached as the Argent Tournament was going on to choose the champions most fit to enter these horrid halls. Rane was planning to fit into the group but decided to let the more experienced heroes take his place instead. The Traitor-Prince was put down, the Lich King defeated.

Daniel returned to the Eastern Kingdoms with the rest of his unit, cleansing the land he once called home.

(Also sorry for the odd spacing, I had it saved on notepad and copy-pasting from what might have just wrecked the entire paragraph structure)

Is there anything else you would like to add, ask, or otherwise clarify?:
I think I’ve gotten the hang of everything so far.
